  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the process and the effect of pre-service teacher's scaffolding in environmental camp program about global climate change. For this study, developed the environmental camp program based pre-service teacher's scaffolding and applied to 78 $5^{th}$ students. We analyzed the role of pre-service teacher in the process of scaffolding. In the result, the pre-service teachers conducted cognitive scaffolding like as "Focus", "Hint", "Tell or Summarize" and "Technical Help". They carried out the emotional scaffolding like as "Create Cheerful Atmosphere", "Encourage", and "Help in Living". Teaching and learning about global climate change, the theme of the camp, was regarded uncertain and complex. So, pre-service teacher's scaffolding was effective to promote environmental literacy about climate change of primary students (<0.05). The student teachers understanded the characteristics of the children through emotionally close relationships. The primary students were learned easier about global climate change through cognitive and emotional scaffolding. They experienced environmental practice with communal living in camp.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze adolescents'problems, thereby to provide fundamental information for Preventive Education for Adolescents'Problems in Home Economic Education. For the data, 269 counselling cases about adolescents ere collected at C counselling center in Seoul, from January to July, 1997. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, and χ²test using the SPSS/PC+computer program. The most important results and implications of this study were as follows ; 1. The Preventive Education for Adolescents'Problems need to be programmed incorporating 'sex', 'family relationship', 'personality', 'delinquency', 'friendship', 'future plan', 'studying' and 'violence'. 2. Adolescents, whether they were students or workers, requested counseling regarding the matters of 'sex'in the general basis, while parents and teachers requested counseling with regard to the adolescents'problems of 'family relationships'and 'delinquency'. This implied that there was a perceptual difference in the adolescents'problems between adolescents and their parents or teachers. Therefore, 'communications'and 'conflict resolution'need to be included in the program. 3. There were more suggestions for a desirable preventive program : 'cooperative society'need to be emphasized ; financial, administrative and policy supports form schools and authorities are needed ; program building should be facilitated through the cooperation between the researchers in universities and the secondary school teachers in the field.

The purpose of this study is to find out the perception and expectation about the realities and formations of partnership between the home and early childhood educational setting of parents and teachers. The ultimate aim is to build a foundation which transforms educational settings into warm educational communities. The research participants were 4 mothers whose children attended the setting and 4 teachers of the early childhood educational setting (8 participants in total). The research results were as follows. The perception of the realities about partnership of parents and teachers was sub-categorized into four categories: 1)"partnership": essential aspect in children's positive development, 2) practicing with vague concepts, 3) lacking the awareness of companion or partnership, 4) disturbing cooperation between parents and teachers from external issues and problems. The expectation of parents and teachers about formation of partnership between home and early childhood educational setting was sub-categorized into five categories: 1) building of community consciousness for better partnership, 2) developing empathy and communication skills between parents and teachers for mutual understanding, 3) considering various strategies to promote partnership with different styles of parents, 4) activating teacher training and parent education in link with local universities and on-line, 5) providing support from the national level to establish new relationships between home and educational settings. • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the job stress and ego-resilience of kindergarten teachers life satisfaction, and to explore ways to improve life satisfaction. 198 public and private kindergarten teachers and childcare center teachers in Gangwon-do were asked to respond by using job stress, ego-resilience, and life satisfaction questionnaires. Based on the collected data, Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis and hierarchical multiple regression analysis are as follows. First, the higher the job stress of the kindergarten teacher, the lower the life satisfaction, and the higher the ego-resilience, the higher the life satisfaction. In particular, the reward, a sub-variable of job stress, had a significant negative correlation with the kindergarten teacher's ego-resilience and life satisfaction. Second, the predictors of relationship resilience, energy, and reward significantly influenced the life satisfaction of kindergarten teachers, and the relationship resilience was relatively explanatory about life satisfaction. This study suggests that an educational plan to be explored to improve ego-resilience for kindergarten teacher's life satisfaction.

  • To examine relationships between learning-related social skills(LRSS) and literacy development a sample of 167 children aged 5-6 years were selected from 3 preschools in Seoul. Instruments for measuring LRSS were the cooperation, assertion, and self-control scales of the Social Skills Rating System (Gresham & Elliott, 1990) and the mastery behaviors scales of the Child Behavior Rating Scale (Bronson, et al. 1990). Literacy development was measured by the Concepts about Print(Woon, 1999), the Learning Readiness Scale(Korean Educational Development Institution 1998), and the Writing Development Scale(Lee, 1997). Teachers rated children's LRSS. Data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, t-test, bivariate correlation, and regression analysis. LRSS correlated with children's literacy development. Mastery behaviors were the best predictor of literacy development.

  • Purpose The innovation capability nowadays has become increasingly prominent in the universities not only for schools but also for teachers. However, due to less attention to the knowledge utilization and management, also some objective constraints, which caused the low level of the innovation capacity for our universities teachers under the current development in China. Meanwhile, transactive memory system (TMS) and knowledge sharing are important contents in knowledge management. The combination of both systems will contribute to a much more comprehensive understanding and performance of knowledge management. The purpose of this study is to investigate the structural relationships between TMS, knowledge sharing, and innovation capability among Chinese university teachers' teams, and to propose the practical implication to integrate effectively internal knowledge of the team to improve innovation capability. Design/methodology/approach In order to exam and verify the hypothesis proposed, we developed a questionnaire with 16 survey items, and each item comes with a five-point Likert-type scale. Hyperlink of online questionnaire was shared through WeChat. It's collected 201 responses from 14 universities in China, and the responders are teaching groups' leaders. And all together 191 responses were filtered out as the valid samples. And we analyze the data set and test research hypotheses by using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. Findings All hypotheses are supported. The results reveal that knowledge sharing plays an important role in this study as the mediating role. TMS is positively associated with the innovation capability. And the knowledge sharing plays a significant role as mediating value between them, and influences the TMS's effect on innovation capability. It's thus cleared that if our teachers could well communicate, exchange and collaborate with other teachers in the same group, the innovation capability among the teachers would be improved effectively.
