This research investigated the effects of university library users' use patterns and their recognition of service benefits on the magnitude of service value assessments derived from users' statements using contingent valuation method (CVM). Library users' use patterns were operationalized by the number of library visits, library website visit counts and the degree of dependence on their own libraries. User benefits variables were measured by the level of satisfaction on the benefits of library use for teaching & instruction, research & writings, and employment & external activities. University library services were divided into circulation, journal articles (domestic & foreign), reference service, user education, reading room service and WTPs for each service were measured. The results from hypotheses testing show that the number of library visits affect WTP amounts for circulation, foreign article use, reference service and user education. The degree of library dependence seems to affect WTP amounts for circulation and user education. With regards to the hypotheses related to the recognition of library service benefits, the degree of satisfaction for teaching & instruction benefits seems to affect WTP amounts for reading room use.

Based on the DGPS radio wave measurement in the coast of the yellow-sea, south-sea and east-sea, the DGPS service regions in the korean coastal ferry route are analyzed in this paper. The impact of obstacles on the propagation due to the archipelago and island regions are measured and analyzed in the point of service region. The ocean-based DGPS reference stations provide the wide DGPS ocean service regions with signal strength more than $40dB{\mu}V/m$ and signal-to-noise ratio more than 10 dB. Based on the overlapping of the service regions between the DGPS reference stations, the DGPS services with good quality are provided in the coastal ferry route segments. In case of regions where the propagation obstacles are scattered, the increasingly good service can be provided under conditions of output power reinforcement and antenna efficiency enhancement.

The purpose of this paper is to study a scheme to ITS service which enables the data (spatial, non-spatial and image) sharing among heterogeneous system (various environment) with employing the concept of object orientedness and to show Location Reference Technique of ITS Space DB for interoperability. Data warehouse service, query object service, interface object service, and naming object service have been identified for this. In addition, a metadata management object service and persistent object service based system framework has been devised. The proposed skeletal framework would be expected to be functioning well for ITS data sharing environment and for the interoperability support.

Recently, as the dissemination of the Internet and development of computer network technology, Research is actively underway for realization of the next-generation computing paradigm called Ubiquitous Computing. For realization of Ubiquitous computing, The data recognized from each sensors must be collected on real-time and transferred to applied service so that they may be used as data for providing service to users. However, there are several problem for realization. First, there is no standardization of sensor metadata, interface and event definition. Second, applied service has weak point that difficult of approaching to the data. Third, none interoperability with each platform and protocol. In this paper, we designed Sensor Service Description Language based on XML to resolve problem above. This Language expresses the measurement of the sensor and Service Metadata in the form to be standardized. In addition, we have proposed and development a reference model for USN application service.

This study aimed to investigate present status of online reference shelf and analyze access point in the home page and types of online reference sources in the university library. Data were collected by accessing home pages of 41 university libraries in the region of Seoul and Kyonggi-Do. 30 libraries had prepared reference shelf out of 41 libraries, and "User Service", "Electronic Reference Sources", or "Reference & Information Sources" were mostly used as home page menu. Types of references sources varied among libraries, and "Directories", "Dictionaries", "Statistics" or "Encyclopedias" were mostly loaded types in the reference shelf. For the enhancement of reference services through reference shelf, establishing and applying standards for evaluation, ease of access, access by subject, and continuous updates and additions of reference sources were suggested.

Recently, the severe competition in the internet shopping mall has forced firms to increase the customer satisfaction and to enhance service quality Despite the internet shopping mall's fast and superficial growth and extraordinary potential, study on (actors affecting service quality based on its characteristics is meager. Most researchers have studied on the service quality related with the internal shopping mall by just applying measurement items in internet environment. This paper tries to analyze whether the internet shopping mall can be reorganized by introducing factors of service quality specifically with reference to the internet showing mall. In addition, this study focuses on developing the method to measure the service quality more effectively. For this purpose, this study applies the Taguchi Method using quality loss function (QLF) which can be used to measure quality quantitatively. The proposed method provides the measurement of the internet shopping mall's service quality and offers to the practitioner a measurement tools suitable for service industry.

We processed seven years data of 142 IGS(International GNSS Service) stations were processed, which have been selected with an optimal network algorithm, to realize terrestrial reference system. To verify the result, a comparison with the ITRF2005 was given both in positions and velocities with transformation parameters estimation. The transformation parameters are within 4.3 mm in length, while the RMS(root mean square) difference of positions and velocities are 6.7 mm and 1.3 mm/yr in horizontal and 13.3 mm and 2.4 mm/yr in vertical, respectively, which represent good coincidences with ITRF2005. This research would help developing our own geodetic reference frame and may be applied for the global earth observations such as the global tectonics. A further improved TRF would be expected by applying various data processing strategies and with extension of data in number and observation period.

현재 사용되어지는 컴퓨터 통신 프로토콜(OSI 7 layer reference model)은 구조적인 문제점을 들어내고 있다. 이런 문제점 때문에, 해커들은 수많은 패킷들을 생성시키는 Denial of Service(DoS) 공격과 Distributed Denial of Service(DDoS) 공격을 사용하여 한 호스트나 한 네트워크 자원에 치명적인 악영향을 미친다. 특정한 TCP 포트나 UDP 포트에 공격을 가하는 경우에는 룰 기반의 침입탐지 시스템(IDS)이 탐지 해낼 수 있지만 다른 임의의 포트에 공격을 가하게 되연 IDS는 이것을 탐지하지 못한다. 따라서 우리는 잉의의 포트에 DoS나 DDoS 공격들이 일어났을 때 이 공격들을 탐지할 수 있는 모델을 설계하였다.

Archival reference service is the ultimate goal and outcome of records management. It encompasses a whole range of activities to connect records with the demands for them. Intellectual needs for records are met by the procedure of information disclosure to guarantee the people's right to know and to provide active responses to archival information needs. Thus, it is required to establish an efficient search system by unifying search tools for archives used in information disclosure and sorting out the classification systems and description items according to the archive types. The qualitative enhancement of information disclosure can be expected when there is a harmonious circulation of attributes-such as applicants, records, search tools, and information providers-for the smooth implementation of reading processes in the context of archival reference service. Therefore, the present study holds its significance in the following aspects. First, it presented a picture of pending issues and the reality of reading service processes from an internal perspective by examining the factors and characteristics that influence "reading service."Second, it demonstrated the phenomenon of close interactions among information providers, applicant, search tools, and records in the process of requesting, searching, and providing records. Third, it proposed the need for a total integrated search tool around the pending issues of reading processes at the National Archives of Korea. Fourth, it promoted an understanding of archival information utilization at the working level among information providers. Finally, it showed major differences in the quality of information provision of "reading service" according to the "perceptions" and "attitudes" of information providers.

Since 1995 local newspapers competitively commenced the service of multimedia electronic newspaper on Internet WWW due to the technical development in data processing and the widely used Internet. It includes image, phonetics and moving pictures as well as texts. The Internet service of newspaper articles are not only the information source which enables the users utilize the various information easily and rapidly but also to be an important reference service tools in the library. Howeverjn many cases. the current local electronic newspaper service aims at the service itself. Therefore, the information does not contain plenty of information. In some cases, information searching system focused on the users are not established yet. In this research, structuring process and characteristics of the Internet WWW electronic newspaper and the current service status and contents of the local newspaper have been reviewed. Construction of menu, information searching system and reference mannual for users of 6 local newspapers have been analyzed to secure efficient service for users.
