Real Time Balancing Control of 2 Wheel Robot Using a Predictive Controller (예측 제어기를 이용한 2바퀴 로봇의 실시간 균형제어)

  • In this paper, the two-wheels robot using a predictive controller to maintain the balance of the posture control in real time have been examined. A reaction wheel pendulum control method is adopted to maintain the balance while the bicycle robot is driving. The objective of this research was to design and implement a self-balancing algorithm using the dsPIC30F4013 embedded processor. To calculate the attitude in ARS using 2 axis gyro(roll, pitch) and 3 axis accelerometers (x, y, z). In this study, the disturbance of the posture for the asymmetrical propose to overcome the predictive controller which was a problem in the control of a remote system by introducing the two wheels of the robot controller and the linear prediction of the system controller combines the simulation was performed. Also, the robust characteristic for realizing the goal of designing a loop filter too robust controller is designed so that satisfactory stability of the control system to improve stability of the system to minimize degradation of performance was confirmed.

  • In this paper, the channel decoder promising reliable data retrieving in noisy holographic channel has been developed for holographic WORM(write once read many) system. It covers various DSP(digital signal processing) blocks, such as align mark detector, adaptive channel equalizer, modulation decoder and ECC(error correction code) decoder. The specific schemes of DSP are designed to reduce the effect of noises in holographic WORM(H-WORM) system, particularly in prototype of DAEWOO electronics(DEPROTO). For real time data retrieving, the channel decoder is redesigned for FPGA(field programmable gate array) based hardware, where DSP blocks calculate in parallel sense with memory buffers between blocks and controllers for driving peripherals of FPGA. As an input source of the experiments, MPEG2 TS(transport stream) data was used and recorded to DEPROTO system. During retrieving, the CCD(charge coupled device), capturing device of DEPROTO, detects retrieved images and transmits signals of them to the FPGA of hardware channel decoder. Finally, the output data stream of the channel decoder was transferred to the MPEG decoding board for monitoring video signals. The experimental results showed the error corrected BER(bit error rate) of less than $10^{-9}$, from the raw BER of DEPROTO, about $10^{-3}$. With the developed hardware channel decoder, the real-time video demonstration was possible during the experiments. The operating clock of the FPGA was 60 MHz, of which speed was capable of decoding up to 120 mega channel bits per sec.

  • This paper is based on the ubiquitous network of telematics technology, equipped with a black box to the car by a unique address given to IPv6. The driver's black box at startup and operation of certification, and the car's driving record handling video signals in real-time sensor signals handling to analyze the records. Through the recorded data is encrypted transmission, and the Ubiquitous network of base stations, roadside sensors through seamless mobility and location tracking data to be generated. This is a file of Transportation Traffic Operations Center as a unique address IPv6 records stored in the database. The car is equipped with a black box used on the road go to Criminal cases, the code automotive black boxes recovered from the addresses and IPv6, traffic records stored in a database to compare the data integrity verification and authentication via secure.   • This paper implements an integrated vehicle chassis system of ACC(Adaptive Cruise Control) and LKS(Lane Keeping System) based on OSEK OS to vehicle operating system and analyzes its performance through experiments. In recent years active safety and advanced driver assistance system has discussed to improve safety of vehicle. Among the rest, We integrate ACC that controls longitudinal velocity of vehicle and LKS that assists a vehicle in maintaing its driving lane, then implement integrated control system in vehicle. Implemented control system uses OSEK/VDX proposed standard, which is aiming at reusability and safety of software for vehicle and removal hardware dependence of application software. Redesigned control system based on OSEK OS, which is supported by OSEK/VDX, can manage real-time task, process interrupt and manage shared resource. We show by results performed EILS(ECU-In-the-Loop Simulation) that OSEK OS-based integrated controller of ACC and LKS is equivalent conventional integrated controller of ACC and LKS.

  • As the Industrial Revolution progressed, Big Data technologies were used to develop a system that instantly identified the consequences of older vehicles using mobile devices. First, data from the vehicle was collected using the OBD2 sensor, and the data collected was stored in the raspberry pie, giving it the same situation that the raspberry pie was driving. In the event that vehicle data is generated, the data is collected in real time, stored in multiple nodes, and visualized and printed based on the processed, refined, processed and processed data. We can use Big Data in this process and quickly process vehicle data to identify it effectively through mobile devices.

Analysis of engine load factor for a 90 kW agricultural combine harvester based on working speed

  • This study aimed to evaluate the engine load factor (LF) of a 90 kW agricultural combine harvester. The combine harvester used in this study is equipped with an electronic engine, and real-time engine data (torque and speed) was collected through a controller area network. The speed of the combine harvester during harvesting operation was divided into three levels (4, 5, and 6 km/h) for the representative operation speed range of 4 to 6 km/h. The LF was calculated using the engine load data measured in real time during harvesting. A weight was applied to the LF for each condition based on a survey of the usage. Results of the field test showed that the LF was 0.53, 0.64, and 0.87 at working speeds of 4, 5, and 6 km/h, respectively. The highest engine load factor was recorded at 6 km/h. Finally, based on the weight for the usage applied, the integrated engine LF was analyzed to be 0.69, which is approximately 144% higher than the currently applied LF of 0.48. A study on LF analysis for the entire work cycle, including idling and driving of the combine harvester, will be addressed in a future study.

  • This paper proposes a method to recognize and track drivable lane areas to assist the driver. The main topic is designing a deep-based network that predicts drivable road areas using computer vision and deep learning technology based on images acquired in real time through a camera installed in the center of the windshield inside the vehicle. This study aims to develop a new model trained with data directly obtained from cameras using the YOLO algorithm. It is expected to play a role in assisting the driver's driving by visualizing the exact location of the vehicle on the actual road consistent with the actual image and displaying and tracking the drivable lane area. As a result of the experiment, it was possible to track the drivable road area in most cases, but in bad weather such as heavy rain at night, there were cases where lanes were not accurately recognized, so improvement in model performance is needed to solve this problem.

  • Traffic management centers (TMC) collect real-time traffic data from the field and have powerful databases for analysing, recording, and archiving the data. Recent advanced sensor and communication technologies have been widely applied to intelligent transportation systems (ITS). Regarding sensors, various in-vehicle sensors, in addition to global positioning system (GPS) receiver, are capable of providing high resolution data representing vehicle maneuverings. Regarding communication technologies, advanced wireless communication technologies including vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-vehicle infrastructure (V2I), which are generally referred to as V2X, have been widely used for traffic information and operations (references). The V2X environment considers the transportation system as a network in which each element, such as the vehicles, infrastructure, and drivers, communicates and reacts systematically to acquire information without any time and/or place restrictions. This study is motivated by needs of exploiting aforementioned cutting-edge technologies for developing smarter transportation services. The proposed system has been implemented in the field and discussed in this study. The proposed system is expected to be used effectively to support the development of various traffic information control strategies for the purpose of enhancing traffic safety on highways.

  • VMS are installed in many Korean highways in oder to give drivers informations such as travel time to destination, congestion and Incident situation. However, some guidelines for install VMS are restricted in only geometric factors although human factors considering driver behavior are very important to affect the VMS installation. Therefore, this paper are focusing on developing and verifying the discriminant model for VMS installation considering human factors. As a result, following outputs are obtained ; (1) developing the discriminant model using human factors of driving simulation experiments in oder to predict driver reading VMS messages safely detour highway. (2) proving that driving experiences in highway, personal driving history, vehicle speed orderly affects VMS installation (3) verifying predictability of developed model by comparing the real values with predicted values. (4) suggesting that VMS should be installed off 3.2Km from the I.C. of rural highway.
