RAPD를 이용한 고추(Capsicum annuum) 유전자원의 분류 (Classification of Capsicum annuum Germplasm Using Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA)

  • 본 연구는 RAPD표지를 이용하여 국내외에서 수집된 고추 유전자원들간의 유전적관계를 평가하고자 수행되었다. Random primer를 이용한 고추의 PCR반응은 $MgCl_2$ 3mM, Taq. DNA polymerase 1.5U, 주형 DNA 10ng, dNTPs $200{\mu}M$, random primer 200nM 그리고 $42^{\circ}C$의 annealing 온도조건으로 최적화하였다. 80개의 random primer로부터 높은 밴드선명도와 재현성을 보이는 16개가 선발되었으며 70%의 GC함량을 갖는 primer들이 GC함량이 60%인 것보다 DNA증폭에 있어 효과적이었다. 31개의 고추품종및 계통들에 대해 71개의 polymorphic밴드와 22개의 monomorphic밴드를 포함하는 총 93개의 DNA밴드가 선발된 16개의 random primer들로부터 형성되었다. Primer당 약 4.4개의 polymorphic밴드가 형성되었다. 이들 71개의 polymorphic밴드를 이용하여 유사도지수가 구해졌으며 이를 근거로 31고추 계통 또는 품종들을 뚜렷이 구분하는 dendrogram이 작성되었다.

Random Forest 분류기와 Bag-of-Feature 특징 히스토그램을 이용한 의료영상 자동 분류 및 검색 (Medical Image Classification and Retrieval Using BoF Feature Histogram with Random Forest Classifier)

  • 본 논문에서는 의료영상의 특성을 반영하여 픽셀 그래디언트의 방향 값을 특징으로 하는 OCS-LBP (Oriented Center Symmetric Local Binary Patterns) 특징을 개발하고 BoF(Bag-of-Feature)와 Random Forest 분류기를 이용한 영상 검색 방법을 제안한다. 학습영상에서 추출된 특징 값은 code book 으로 군집화 되고, 각 영상들은 code book을 통해 의미 있는 새로운 차원인 BoF특징으로 변환된다. 이렇게 추출된 BoF특징은 Random Forest 분류기에 적용되고 학습된 분류기에 의해 유사한 특성을 갖는 N개의 클래스별로 분류되게 된다. 질의 영상이 입력되면 동일한 OCS-LBP특징이 추출되고 code book을 통해 BoF특징이 추출된다. 전통적인 내용기반 영상검색과는 다르게, 본 논문에서는 질의 영상에서 추출된 BoF특징이 학습된 Random Forest에 적용되어 가장 유사한 K-근접 이웃 (K-nearest neighbor) 클래스들을 선택하고 선택된 클래스들에 포함된 영상들에 대해서만 질의 영상과의 BoF 유사도 측정을 통해 최종 유사한 영상을 검색하게 된다. 실험결과에서 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법은 빠르고 우수한 검색 성능을 보여 주었다.

  • In this paper, we establish a class of strong limit theorems, represented by inequalities, for the arbitrary random field with respect to the product binomial distributions indexed by the infinite tree on the generalized random selection system by constructing the consistent distri-bution and a nonnegative martingale with pure analytical methods. As corollaries, some limit properties for the Markov chain field with respect to the binomial distributions indexed by the infinite tree on the generalized random selection system are studied.

  • This paper describes a new method using random modulated strategies for switched reluctance machines. The proposed method is combined random turn-on, turn-off angle technique and random pulse width modulation technique. The purpose of this proposed method is to decrease harmonic spectrum, and thus reduce the emitted acoustical noise. A random generator is generated by linear congruential generator (LCG) using random pulse position (RPP) scheme. Simulation results show that the harmonic intensity of proposed method is better than that of conventional method.

  • The rate of convergence to a random variable S for an almost certainly convergent series $S_n = \sum^n_{j=1} X_j$ of independent random variables is studied in this paper. More specifically, when $S_n$ converges to S almost certainly, the tail series $T_n = \sum^{\infty}_{j=n} X_j$ is a well-defined sequence of random variable with $T_n \to 0$ a.c. Various sets of conditions are provided so that for a given numerical sequence $0 < b_n = o(1)$, the tail series strong law of large numbers $b^{-1}_n T_n \to 0$ a.c. holds. Moreover, these results are specialized to the case of the weighted i.i.d. random varialbes. Finally, example are provided and an open problem is posed.

  • 본 논문은 의학 분야에서 사용되는 하드웨어 발생기 디지털 난수 출력열의 특성 처리 분석을 주요 이슈로 한다. 하드웨어 이진 난수를 기반으로 하는 난수발생기의 출력열은 지연, 지터, 온도 등의 요소로부터 영향을 받는다. 본 논문에서는 하드웨어 출력 난수열에 영향을 주는 주요 요소에 대해 살펴보고, 출력열과 암호알고리즘, 부호알고리즘이 결합된 출력열의 난수성을 분석하였다. 분석된 결과는 난수성 주요 검증 항목에 의해 평가되었다.

  • Let {$X_n,n{\geq}1$} be a sequence of negatively superadditive dependent random variables. In the paper, we study the strong law of large numbers for general weighted sums ${\frac{1}{g(n)}}{\sum_{i=1}^{n}}{\frac{X_i}{h(i)}}$ of negatively superadditive dependent random variables with non-identical distribution. Some sufficient conditions for the strong law of large numbers are provided. As applications, the Kolmogorov strong law of large numbers and Marcinkiewicz-Zygmund strong law of large numbers for negatively superadditive dependent random variables are obtained. Our results generalize the corresponding ones for independent random variables and negatively associated random variables.

Adaptive and Prioritized Random Access and Resource Allocation Schemes for Dynamic TDMA/TDD Protocols

  • The medium access control (MAC) protocol based on dynamic time division multiple access/time division duplex (TDMA/TDD) is responsible for random access control and radio resource allocation in dynamic traffic environments. These functions of random access and resource allocation are very important to prevent wastage of resources and improve MAC performance according to various network conditions. In this paper, we propose new random access and resource allocation schemes to guarantee quality of service (QoS) and provide priority services in a dynamic TDMA/TDD system. First, for the QoS guarantee, we propose an adaptive random access and resource allocation scheme by introducing an access probability. Second, for providing priority service, we propose a priority-based random access and resource allocation scheme by extending the first adaptive scheme in both a centralized and a distributed manner. The analysis and simulation results show that the proposed MAC protocol outperforms the legacy MAC protocol using a simple binary exponential backoff algorithm, and provides good differential performance according to priorities with respect to the throughput and delay.

Estimation of Random Coefficient AR(1) Model for Panel Data

  • This paper deals with the problem of estimating the autoregressive random coefficient of a first-order random coefficient autoregressive time series model applied to panel data of time series. The autoregressive random coefficients across individual units are assumed to be a random sample from a truncated normal distribution with the space (-1, 1) for stationarity. The estimates of random coefficients are obtained by an empirical Bayes procedure using the estimates of model parameters. Also, a Monte Carlo study is conducted to support the estimation procedure proposed in this paper. Finally, we apply our results to the economic panel data in Liu and Tiao(1980).

  • Random drift rate (i.e., random drift in angle rate) of a gyro represents the major error source of inertial navigation systems that are required to operate over long time intervals. It is uncorrectable and leads to an increase in the error with the passage of time. In this paper a technique is presented for analyzing random process from experimental data and the results are presented. The problem of estimating the a priori statistics of a random process is considered using time averages of experimental data. Time averages are calculated and used in the optimal data-processing techniques to determine the statistics of the random process. Therefore the contribution each component to the gyro drift process can be quantitatively measured by its statistics. The above techniques will be applied to actual gyro drift rate data with satisfactory results.
