We investigate anti-centralizing and skew-centralizing mappings involving generalized derivations and derivations on prime and semiprime rings. We also obtain some range inclusion results for generalized linear derivations and linear derivations on Banach algebras by applying the algebraic techniques. Some results in this note are to improve the ones in [22].

We studied the MDS self-dual codes over finite chain rings. We stated the projection and lifting of codes over the finite chain rings with respect to the MDS self-dual codes, and then we applied the results to the MDS self-dual codes over Galois rings.

In this article, we completely determine the rings for which every element is a sum of a nilpotent and three tripotents that commute with one another. We discuss this property for some extensions of rings, including group rings.
