Scientific Study of Subjectivity on Recognition Types and Preferences of Animation Audiences (애니메이션 수용자의 인식유형과 취향에 관한 주관성연구)

  • This is a scientific study of subjectivity on recognition types and preferences of animation audience. Therefore, Q-methodology was used as a methodology of this study. As a result, it was possible to find the various characteristics according to the preferences of audience on animation genres. The features of each type were classified into 3 types. First was an artistic and literary value-oriented type that explored storytelling and descriptive value. Second was a pictorial and aesthetic value-oriented type that explored visual beauty such as characters and Mise en scene. Third was a visual and entertainment value-oriented type that explored entertainment factors and attractions. Thus, according to the classification of preference types, it was inferred that digital image generation audience with an active preference that can create and consume images have developed a tendency that independently consumed their preferences based on thoroughly personal or subjective preferences rather than classified and accepted their preferred culture as their symbolic expressions of hierarchical position. In this aspect, Q-methodological consideration that is useful to analyze the subjectivity of audience could be a significant work. Nevertheless, this study alone could not reveal various generative contexts of specific preferences. It seems to have more significant results by applying various qualitative or quantitative methodologies together with this study and analyzing recognition types and preferences of audience.

  • 현재의 영상 검색 시스템은 일반적으로 카테고리 검색 및 분류 검색으로 구성되어 있다. 일반적인 영상 데이터베이스 구축 및 현재의 검색 방법으로는 영상에 대한 재미요인을 분석하여 사용자에게 제공되지 않는다. 하지만 본 논문에서 제시하는 Q-방법론을 사용하여 영상을 분석하였다. Q-방법론에 의하여 분석된 영상은 영상 서버에 저장되며 영상 위치와 분석된 영상 디스크립션 및 재미요인은 데이터베이스에 구축하였다. 또한, 카테고리 검색 및 분류 검색에 대한 단점을 보강하기 위하여 키워드 검색시 색인 사전을 참조하여 온톨로지 검색에 대한 기능을 강화하였다.

  • 우리나라 선원은 해방기 이후 외화가득의 주역이며 비상시 군수물자를 운송할 수 있는 사회경제적으로 가치 있는 직업이나 최근 선원 직업의 사회적 인식이 다소 부정적이고, 예전처럼 젊은 선원의 유입이 높지 않은 편이다. 본 연구는 일반 대중을 대상으로 Q 방법론을 활용하여 선원의 직업을 어떻게 인식하는지 그 이미지 유형과 특성을 분석하였다. Q 방법론에 의한 선원 직업 이미지 인식은 3개 유형으로 분류되었고 우리나라 선원에 대한 대중의 인식은 부정적이였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 해운산업의 핵심 인적자원인 선원의 안정적으로 확보하고 선원 종사자들의 직업적 만족도와 취업률을 높이기 위해서는 대중들이 인식한 선원의 부정적 직업 이미지를 전환할 수 있는 다양한 방안을 마련해야 할 것이다.

The Subjectiveness of Decent Jobs using Q Methodology (Q 방법론을 활용한 괜찮은 일자리에 대한 주관성 연구)

  • In this study, we expected the perceived difference of job calling and decent jobs between recent generation and baby-boomer and eco baby-boomer generation. Understanding perceptions of jobs by current generation that are perceived as lifetime jobs rather than lifetime workplace will make some valuable contributions to future job research and policy. The aim of the study was to examine the subjective perception of decent jobs among university students who are ready to go to labor market. By using Q methodology, we extracted 291 Q statements and 47 Q samples. In addition, 31 subjects classified Q samples into Q distributed tables. We used Ken-Q Analysis program. In the results, we found five types of perceived subjectiveness on the decent jobs, which were interests-seeking, balance-seeking, toward organization, power-seeking, and career development. These results confirm the diversity of perceptions of decent jobs. Then, we suggested policy implications to help the labor market entry based on the results.

The Subjectivity Perceptions of the Image of the Police (경찰 이미지 제고에 대한 주관적 인식유형)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the types and features of subjectivity perceptions of the police by applying Q methodology that draw upon schematic model in subjectivity study. A survey was carried out among police officers in Gangwon province, South Korea, to classify the 61 selected Q-statements into a normal distribution using a 11 point scale. The collected data was analyzed using QUANL program, and principal component factor analysis using varimax rotation was used to identify the types of perceived image of the police. Type I can be categorized by a strong concern for the education & manpower management, Type II can be categorized by advocating for duty observance, Type III can be categorized by the pursuit of publicized police image and Type IV can be categorized by the suggestions for legal improvement. The use of Q methodology provides insights into the image of the police that would not be available through traditional methodologies and offers a foundation for essential efforts to address and overcome concerns about the image of the police.

Recognition on Suicidal Intent of the Elderly among Caregivers: A Q-Methodological Application (노인 자살의도에 대한 주부양자의 인식: Q-방법론 적용)

  • Purpose: This study's purpose is to classify and analyze caregivers' recognition of the elderly suicidal intents. Methods: This study uses applied Q-methodology to measure human subjectivity in depth. Concretely, 35 statements are composed in depth interviews and literature investigation. Then, Q-cards and distributive chart of Q-sampling were given to 25 caregivers randomly-selected, who were asked to arrange them on a 7-score based. After coding Q-factor analysis is carried out with the PC-QUANL program. Results: Four types of indicators of the elderly suicidal intents were identified by the caregivers. These are Knowledge-based recognition, Behavioral measure based recognition, Negative comprehension and Sympathy. Conclusion: In this study, four types of recognition were yielded among the caregivers and the characteristics of each type were analyzed. These findings may be useful in assessing suicidal potential and nursing interventions.

  • Q 방법은 인간의 태도와 행동을 연구하기 위해 철학적, 심리학적, 통계적, 그리고 심리측정과 관련된 개념을 통합한 방법론으로서 인간의 주관성을 정량적으로 분석할 수 있는 특수한 통계기법이다. 소비자의 인식, 가치, 태도, 신념과 같은 개념을 객관적으로 연구할 수 있는 방법으로서 가설 생성을 위한 탐색적 연구와 이론의 검증과 같은 확인적 연구에서도 적용될 수 있다. 많은 수의 표본을 대상으로 한 횡단적 R 방법에 비하여 개인이나 소집단에 대한 깊이 있는 탐구가 가능하다는 점에서 소비자 행동 연구에 유용성이 매우 높다. 개인의 주관성을 바탕으로 한 소비자 개인의 특성과 차별성을 이해하는 것이 마케팅 분야의 핵심을 이루고 있음에도 불구하고 그 동안 소비자의 주관성에 대한 깊이 있는 접근이 이루어지지 못하였다. 1935년에 심리학 분야에서 개발된 Q방법은 이를 분석할 수 있는 컴퓨터 패키지의 보급과 더불어 사회과학 전반에 걸쳐 그 활용이 확산되어 가고 있다. 이에 Q 방법의 과학철학적 특성과, 현재 널리 이용되고 있는 변수 중심의 R 방법과의 차이, 그리고 컴퓨터 분석을 포함한 구체적인 Q 분석방법 및 관리적 활용상의 문제점에 대해 논의하였다

  • The purpose of this paper is to explore the meaning of talent donations by semi-professional Athlete using Q methodology. This Q factor analysis finally identified 3 factors: The first factor, The type of donation cautious, They represent an understanding the need for donation, needing to prepare for donation, information about donation targets, careful attitude toward talent donation. The second factor, The type of donation authenticity, They represent departure from good mind, premise of authenticity to donation, necessity of program for donation activities. The final factor, The type of trust for endowment institution, They represent trust in the target organization to donate, interest in donation-related incidents, necessity of various donation methods in sports field.

Teacher's Belief in Young Children's Play : A Q-approach (유아 놀이에 대한 교사의 신념 분석 : Q-방법론적 접근)

  • This study identified and explained the prototypes of teacher's belief about children's play with the use of Stephenson's Q-methodology. The sample consisted of 35 kindergarten teachers. A Q-deck composed of 48 cards, derived in part from a review of related literature and was developed by the researchers and sorted by the subjects. The obtained Q-sort scores were analyzed by factor analysis. The findings revealed that the subjects were divided into 3 belief types : "life-experienced", "developmental-disciplinary", "cultural-environmental". Likely explanations for these results are considered, and implications are discussed.
