다품목 재고관리를 위한 계층분석모형의 개발 (Development of an Analytic Hierarchy Process Model for the Multi-item Inventory Control)

  • ABC analysis is the process of dividing inventory items into three classes according to their monetary usage so that managers can focus on items that have the highest monetary usage value, and has been widely used in practice since its development in 1950. However, the original criterion, monetary usage value, can no longer be the only rational criterion. Applying Analytic Hierarchy Process, we develop a new method to classify inventory items by considering such operationally/strategically important criteria as annual dollar usage, lead time, supplier's capacity, defective rate, difficulty of purchasing and unit price. A case study is performed applying the method to the field data from a company which produces electrochemical products.

  • Price quotations for SOR / RFQ from OEM clients is a very important process in the automotive parts industry. However, OEM clients are demanding a price quote on short duration but it takes long delivery time due to sales, research and development, purchasing, production and cost management departments role and jobs focused on detail and responsibility. And to provide a reasonable alternative with eliminating the waste of non-value processes is to achieve OEM clients satisfaction through standardized and parallel processing, IT system based on the systems and processes of global benchmark companies.

  • The goal of this article is to ascertain the factors that govern consumers' choosing to outbound travel product. The authors assess the consumers' travel product choosing processes with information search(internal knowledge, external information knowledge). alternative evaluation(perceived image, emotional experience, price acceptability, appeal, trust), and alternative choice(purchasing intention). Using data on Thailand travel product, the authors find considerable results and conclude by discussing prescriptive recommendations for the travel industry.

  • This study investigates how discrete choice analysis can be applied to health care operations. Discrete choice analysis helps to understand the complex decision-making process of purchasing expensive medical equipments by identifying relative weights that decision makers impose on each attribute through simple virtual choice experiments. We also verified the usefulness of applying discrete choice analysis to the purchase of medical equipments with empirical evidence.

유통되고 있는 실내조경 식물명과 학명과의 차이 (Differences Between Common Name and Scientific Name of Interior Landscape Plants in Practical Circulation)

  • The purpose of this research is to compare and analyze scientific names and Korean names of interior plants, considering that consumes' purchasing systems consist of internet and communication media in the era of informationalization, to help the consumers purchasing plants, and to propose some directions for the unification of Korean name in practical circulation. This survey was performed during 4 months from May to September in 2000. The survey places for research were wholesale flower market of YangJje Dong and Nam Seoul. The used plants for research were 37 family, 76 genus and 120 species. The main methods of data collection were interview and reference f plants picture books. The main reference for identifying plant name was accomplished by Yoon Ypung-Sub's HORTUS KOREANA. The research results are as follows; 1) Fifty one plants were identified as using generic or specific name. 2) Thirteen plants were identified as using varietal name. 3) Twenty four plants were identified as using common name recoded in a plant dictionary. 4)Thirteen plants were identified as using incorrect name. Consequently, it was identified that the research for the unification of Korean name of interior landscape plants should be performed thorough continuous cooperation between academic field and business field for solving various problems which is occurred in plants circulation process.

소비자의 인터넷 쇼핑몰 이용가치와 불안요소 인지 - D백화점 쇼핑몰 고객을 중심으로 - (Consumer′s Perception and Buying Behavior through the Shopping Mall -Focused on the Customers of D Cyber Mall-)

  • This study examined the effects of demographic variables on buying behavior, and investigated buyers'perceived value and risk perception of the internet shopping mall. The sample was collected by a department store in Daegu, and it included 1,732 individuals using the Cyber Mall. Research methods used in this study were simple statistics, t-test and ANOVA. The buyers perceived values through the internet shopping mall were classified into five categories-price, time, convenience, intrinsic attributes, reliability and the risk perception also was classified such as the overall purchasing process, quality of products, exposure of the personal information, delivery system, refund and exchange. The major findings of this study were 1) most important categories affecting their buying behavior were the value of convenience and following values in order were time, price, reliability, intrinsic attributes. 2) the risk perception were overall purchasing behavior, quality of products, exposure of personal information, delivery, and refund & exchange in order. 3) age of buyers, buying experience on the internet shopping mall, and gender were the important factors affecting the buyers'perceived value and risk. 4) the study also, showed that according to the variety of products, buyers perceived the value and risk differently, for example, the price was the most important perceived value in case of food product. The implication of the study is to strategically suggest how to enhance the buyers'perceived value and diminish perceived risk of different products.

  • The objective of this research is to construct and build a software platform to enable collaboration among enterprise headquarters, product designers, software engineers, manufacturing plants, and suppliers which are locate at different remote locations via internet. In specific, agent technology is adopted as a software vehicle to automate demand and supply process in the internet environment. Agents are programs that act on behalf of their human users to perform laborious tasks such as information locating, accessing, filtering, integrating, adapting and resolving inconsistencies. Global competion is forcing the present day industry to produce high quality product more fast and inexpensively. In Korea, most labor-intensive industries have moved to China and other Asian countries for cost reduction. The need for fast information exchange has increased among the remote locations for the cooperation and coordination. In this research, a virtual global purchasing and ordering system will be constructured that distributes production schedule among remote places, acts as a bridge between the headquarters and manufacturing plants, distributes tasks and collates different solutions between demand and supply using agent. The external communication protocol takes HTML format, internal message handling requires SGML for document exchange, and KQML for agent implementation. The expected benefits will be : reduced cost of real-time information exchange, realization of global manufacturing environment, the maximum utilization of internet for the enterprise data exchange.

컴포넌트기반의 XML/EDI 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Component-Based XML/EDI System)

  • One of the important applications for business-to-business electronic commerce is in procurement and inventory management using electronic data interchange(EDI). Using online catalogs and approved supplier lists, firms can easily create requisitions and purchasing documents. The emerging trend in EDI technology is changed from VAN(Value Added Network) based EDI to XML based EDI. This paper intends to suggest a component-based XML/EDI system using Unified Modeling Language(UML), as an application system for automobile part industry. Applying component based XML/EDI systems designed with UML methodology, we analyzed the workflow and the document on procurement process between trading partners and implemented a prototype of efficient XML/EDI system, as a surrogate of existing VAN/EDI. The result of applying object-oriented CBD(Component Based Development) technique is to minimize the risk of life cycle and facilitate the reuse of software as mentioned to limitation of information engineering methodology. It enables the interoperability with corporate legacy systems such as ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning), SCM(Supply Chain Management). This system proposes a solution to apply analysis phase and design phase in implementation of XML/EDI system. The implementation of XML/EDI system using CBD shows the ease of use in software reuse and the interoperability with corporate internal information system. The purchasing department with XML/EDI system can electronically communicate purchase orders, delivery schedules to external suppliers and interoperate with other application systems.

한.일 주부들의 친환경 소재 패션상품 구매행동 및 인식 비교 (A Comparative Study of Korean and Japanese Housewives, considering Purchasing Behaviors and Awareness of Eco-friendly Materials in Fashion Products)

  • The objective of this study is to suggest a direction eco-friendly material based fashion products may pursue in the 21 st century in order to protect our environment. This is done by considering the knowledge of the products by housewives, the main consuming players in a household. 398 copies of the survey were collected amongst Korean and Japanese housewives in the 30s and 40s aged group sample and analysed using SPSS 12.0 statistic program. The analysis results are as follows. First, base material was highly knew by Koreans in contradiction with Japanese who were highly knowing the disposal process in regard to eco-friendly fashion products. Second, a higher ratio of Koreans tended to purchase the product with consideration of health issues, however quality of the material was considered more by Japanese buyers. Finally, the result showed that eco-friendly products buyers from both countries had more willingness to purchase eco-friendly material based fashion products than non-buyers in the future. Korean housewives showed more interest in environment, benefit to health and value from eco-friendly material based fashion products than Japanese. Koreans had a better understanding of information and knowledge of the product, as well as higher future purchase intention however, Koreans considered less durability, design and variety of products.

  • Natural disasters and transient resource extraction cause new environmental problems and the waste of resources has also become a big problem. Because these kinds of environmental damage and pollution are harmful to human beings, the problem of environmental protection has become a global issue. In this situation, most consumers prefer Eco-Friendly products that benefit their health and can reduce environmental pollution as well. Businesses also try to develop marketing strategies that position products focused on the environment. At this point, the study has categorized extrinsic properties of Eco-Friendly products into brand images, the reliability of Eco-marks, advertisement views, and researches how the properties have effects on the perceived values and perceived risk in the process of consuming and how the perceived values and perceived risk have implications for purchasing intention. The consumer's perceived values are classified into emotional, social and Eco-friendly values. On the research of existing Chinese consumers or organic milk products, this study explains how the Chinese consumers make an assessment of the extrinsic property of Eco-Friendly products in the Chinese market and provide strategic implications to the Chinese market entrants.
