Effect of Split-Application of Slow-Release Fertilizer on Yield and Quality of 2nd Harvested Tea Leaves (완효성 비료 분시방법에 따른 두물차의 수량 및 품질)

  • A field experiment was conducted to evaluate effect by split-application of slow-release fertilizer on the tea plant. The yield of the 2nd harvested tea leaves was not different to the slow-release fertilizer of two time split manuring had been doing Sep. or Mar. compared with the traditional manuring had been doing four time split manuring, but that of the slow-release fertilizer to one time split manuring in Sep. had decreased 12.5±1.5. In case of the 2nd harvested leave, the contents of chemical components related to quality such as total nitrogen, total amino acid were somewhat higher in the slow-release fertilizer (two time split manuring) than in the traditional manuring, but those of tannin, and caffeine were low, and those of chlorophyll, vitamin C, free sugar and theanine were not different to out of treatments. In scoring test, appearance and quality of green tea were more excellence in the two time split manuring compared with one time split manuring of slow-release fertilizer and with the traditional manuring (four time split manuring). Therefore, I thought that use of slow-release fertilizer be increased yield and quality of tea leaves, and improved efficiency nature of nitrogen, phosphate and potassium out of soil fertilizer components.

  • The mulberry variety, Jeonweon No. 1, has been cultivated in some parts of Ho-Nam District since the variety was selected at the Jeonbuk Provincial Silkworm Egg Production Station in the latter half of 1920s. However, the characteristics of the ariety have not been reported. Therefore, the cultivation experiment on the variety was carried out to investigate the characteristics of the variety at Jeonju and Suweon for four years from 1979 to 1982. 1. The mulberry variety, Jeonweon No. 1, belongs to the Morus alba L. and the sprouting stage is medium. 2. The branch growth of the variety was rather slow, however the number of branches was more and the posture of branches opened wide. 3. The rate of cold injury of shoot tips was a little high, but resistance to disease and the lodging of branches was weaker, compared with the Gaeryangbbong variety. 4. The annual yield of leaves of the variety per 10a was 1,474kg, 14% less than that of the Gaeryangbbong variety.

  • Recently, the Web has been constructed based on collective intel1igence and growing up quickly. User created contents have been made the mainstream in this environments. So it's required to make an efficient technique of searching for the contents. The current searching technique mainly is achieved by key words. Semantic Web based on similarity and relationship of a language and using user tags in web2.0 also have been researched with activity. Generally, the web of the participation architecture has a lot of user created contents, various forms and classification. Therefore, it is necessary to classify and to efficiently search for a lot of user created contents. In this paper, we propose a depth searching technique considering the relationship among the tags that descript user contents. It is expected that the proposed depth searching techniques can reduce the time taken to search for the unwanted contents and the increase the efficiency of the contents searching using a service of suggestion words in tags groups.

Octopus fisheries in the coastal waters of Gangneung- II - Octopus drift-line fishery - (강릉시 연안 문어어업에 관한 연구- II - 문어흘림낚시어업 -)

  • A survey on the fishing gear for octopus drift-line fishing was done in Gangwon-do, Sacheon, Gyeongnam and Hokkaido, Japan, while a survey on the environments of fishing grounds used data from January to August from the Korea east coast farming forecast system of Donghae Fisheries Research and Development Institute. The present situation of fishing was examined with boats engaging in drift-line fishing from March to August in the coastal waters along Gangneung. The fishing tackle for octopus drift-line fishing was made manually, and the size, shape, and weight of the hook and number of shooting used vary according to the fishing time and region. Lead is used as the material for sinkers. As bait, pork fat with skin is mostly used in Gangwon-do. The temperature of the bottom water layer in the coastal fishing ground of Gangneung from April to June ranges from 3.212.4C, which is the optimal temperature for octopuses. During July and August, the temperature ranges from 5.020.6C. The maximum difference between day and night temperatures reached up to 9.2C. Salinity is generally stable at 33.235.324.6, which does not affect the inhabitation of octopuses. The octopus catch reached its peak from May to July, while most octopuses weighed less than 1 kg (76.7%). The results show that it is effective to carry out octopus drift-line fishing up to a depth of 40 meters; and that the maximum number of octopuses per line is obtained with an operation time of six hours.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of individualistic, family, and social characteristics of immigrant women on marriage on community integration. It is focused on exploring how the immigrant women on marriages' residential district differentiate community integration. The study adopts a questionnaire method in research of immigrant women on marriage in all parts of Korea. Data are collected from 163(Metropolitan Government & City), 182(Provincial Government) immigrant women on marriage for empirical analysis respectively. Technique used in analyzing data is Binary Logit Model primarily. In conclusion, on the results of test, it turned out to be strong significant influence on provincial regions than the metropolitan city regions statistically excepting family, and social characteristics.

  • The production of cultured coho salmon (Oncorhpchus kisutoh) in Korea has being increased year after year. Smolt being reared in freshwater suffer transferring into seawater and are farmed in cages for fattening. This handling processes including transportation, confinement into cages are unavoidable stress to fish in salmon farming and often end up to mass mortality, This study aimed to investigate the impact of handling process on the stress responses of coho salmon. The indicator of stress was measured by cortisol to be a first response, and for the second response test, glucose, triBlyceride, cholesterol, lactate and electrolyte of K+,Na+,Cl in serum and the activities of alanine aminotrtnferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase(AST) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) were analyzed. As a result, the concentration of cortisol, glucose as well as LDH activity were significantly increased, whereas others showed no difference comparing with control group. It obviously demonstrated that handling process made fish stressful.

Stress responses of coho salmon, Oncorhpchus kisutch, to transport in fresh water or salt water (담수 및 염수 수송이 은연어의 스트레스 반응에 미치는 영향)

  • To study the stress response of coho salmon (Oncorhpohus kisutch) during transportation, the stress responses of the fish confined in a container box filled with freshwater or 5% salt-water were monitored pre and post 10 hours transportation. Changes of cortisol as the first stress indicator, and glucose (GLC), lactate (LAC), triglyceride (TG), cholesterol (CHOL), sodium (Na+), chloride (Cl), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) as the second stress indicators were compared between the fish in two hauling media. Results showed significantly lower levels of cortisol, GLC, LAC, TG, CHOL and AST in salt-water group than freshwater group, It was shown that using salt-water for transportation could lessen the stress level of the coho salmon.

  • With an elevator supply and demand increases, It has been enlarged various requirements for the safety of the elevator. Elevator safety requirements can be the ability to respond to emergencies quickly. Recently, QR code was attached to all elevator for the elevator safety and it is established by law for the Elevator rescue work. And also the elevator system is seeking to utilize more secure elevator with mandatory installation of CCTV and direct call devices. However, CCTV and direct call service is operating on an individual method and it has not been proposed integrated model. In this paper, we propose the safety elevator integration model with CCTV, direct call service and remote control based on smart phone. Using the proposed model, we can be improved the efficiency of maintenance and ability of prompt action in the event of a disaster.

Serum Stress Responses during Seawater Acclimation in Coho Salmon, Oncorhynchus kisutch (은연어의 해수 순치에 따른 스트레스 반응의 변화)

  • Stress response to the seawater acclimation in coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) smolt was investigated. Salt concentration of rearing water was gradually increased for 3 days from freshwater to seawater (30 ppt salt level). The changes of serum concentrations of cortisol as a primary stress indicator, and as secondary indicators, glucose (GLC), lactate (LAC), triglyce.ide (TG), cholesterol (CHOL), sodium ion (Na+), chloride ion (Cl) and enzyme activities (alanine aminotransferase, ALT: aspartate aminotrasferase, AST; lactate dehydrogenase, LDH) were quantified during the acclimation experiment. Among them, cortisol, LAC, TG, CHOL, ALT, AST concentrations showed rapid increase at the first exposure to the 10ppt salt level (day 1), and began to decrease to the constant values after day 2 of adaptation at 20ppt salt level. However, LDH concentration tended to decrease during the whole experimental period. Na+andCl showed slight decrease at day 1, and increased to a little bit higher values after day 2 rather than those in freshwater. All the fishes started on taking a food after day 4 of seawater adaptation. From these results, to reduce osmotic shock inducible stress to fish in seawater acclimation, gradual increase of salt levels is recommended.

  • In a survey of seed-borne mycofloras of Glycine max, 21 species have been isolated. Alternaria tenuis, Aspergillus spp., Cercospora kikuchii, Penicillium spp. and Fusarium spp. were the predominant fungi. C. kikuchii was isolated more often from purple stained seed than from unstained seed, and Fusarium spp., Phomopsis sp., Aspergillus spp. and Penicillium spp. were isolated less frequently in stained than unstained seeds. In inoculation experiments, C. kikuchii, Colletotrichum dematitum, Phomopsis sp. produced mild to severe symptoms on leaves when suspension of their conidia and mycelia were sprayed on to plants. In soil inoculation experiments, Fusarium oxysporum, F. moniliforme and F. semitectum showed pathogenicity causing seed rot and seedling blight.
