Design and Dynamic Analysis of Fish-like Robot;PoTuna

  • This paper presents the design and the analysis of a "fish-like underwater robot". In order to develop swimming robot like a real fish, extensive hydrodynamic analysis were made followed by the study of biology of the fishes especially its maneuverability and propel styles. Swimming mode is achieved by mimicking fish-swimming of carangiform. This is the swimming mode of the fast motion using its tail and peduncle for propulsion. In order to generate configurations of vortices that gives efficient propulsion yawing and surging with a caudal fin has applied and in order to submerge and maintain the body balance pitching and heaving motion with a pair of pectoral fin is used. We have derived the equation of motion of PoTuna by two methods. In first method, we use the equation of motion of underwater vehicle with the potential flow theory for the power of propulsion. In second method, we apply the method of the equation of motion of UVM(Underwater Vehicle-Manipulator). Then, we compare these results.

  • 정지궤도 인공위성의 추진시스템은 위성발사에서부터 모든 임무궤도의 자세제어와 마지막 임무단계인 폐기궤도 기동을 위한 다양한 속도증분을 제공한다. 이러한 추진시스템은 위성제작사에 따라 매우 다양하게 구성되고 있으며 버스체마다 사용되는 추력기 또한 매우 다양하다. 따라서 각 정지궤도위성 제작사에서는 각각의 추진시스템에 맞는 모든 궤도 관련 임무를 계획하고 검증하는 임무해석소프트웨어를 개발하고 있다. 이러한 범용화된 임무해석소프트웨어를 개발하기 위하여 다양한 추력기 데이터를 검토하였고 이를 토대로 일반화된 추력기 모델링식을 구축하였다.

  • This paper proposes a mathematical modelling about Leviation Force and Propulsion Force in a system, where Primary and Secondary LSRM air-gap is irregular. This can be a suitable model for Magnetically levitation Train, where Primary and Secondary air-gap mechanically has to control simultaneously Levitation Force and Propulsion Force.

  • 위성의 자세제어용 추력시스템에 대한 연료 공급용 솔레노이드 밸브의 국산화를 위해 Dual-Type의 솔레노이드 밸브를 개발하였다. Hydrazine을 연료로 사용하는 위성용 밸브는 반응속도, 유량, 누설 등의 기본성능 외에 수십만 번의 Cycle life, 충격 및 진동, 극저온 등의 환경 요인을 만족해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 설계 및 제작하고 질소 공압 장치를 이용한 성능 시험을 수행하였다.

  • 발사 전 발사체에 공급되는 추진제는 엔진의 정상작동을 위해 설정된 추진제 온도범위 내로 공급되어야 하며, 이는 발사체 공급계 시스템 내에서의 온도변화도 고려되어 발사 전 지상공급시스템 운용 절차에 반영된다. 본 논문에서는 나로호 발사대 액체산소 충전시스템의 액체산소 충전 온도 제어를 위한 시스템 운용절차와 액체산소 냉각방법에 대해 고찰한다.

  • The ostraciiform swimming mode allows the simplest mechanical design and control for underwater vehicle swimming. Propulsion is achieved via the flapping of caudal fin without the body undulatory motion. In this research, the propulsion of underwater vehicles by ostraciiform swimming mode is explored experimentally using an ostraciiform fish robot and some rigid caudal fins. The effects of caudal fin flapping frequency and amplitude on the cruising performance are studied in particular. A theoretical model of propulsion using rigid caudal fin is proposed and identified with the experimental data. An experimental method to obtain the drag coefficient and the added mass of the fish robot is also proposed.

  • The Diesel Multiple Units (DMU) is a successful mass transportation system, that is being, continuously, on demand by train operators and railway authorities around the globe. One of its advantages is the fact that a diesel engine, along with the correct propulsion and control equipment, could also be used on either Electrified or Non-Electrified Railway Lines. Currently, there are almost 12,000 DM Units being used worldwide and the demand is on the increase. This paper describes the special features as well as the advantages/disadvantages of the different types of the DMUs according to the propulsion systems that are employed, to help establish a trend in the DMU market.

  • This paper presents a model and simulation for the korean type multi-propulsion system consisting of a gas turbine driven synchronous alternator coupled to a rectifier and dc-to-dc converter. The simulation modules include turbine system, alternator and rectifier, dc-to-dc converter, power management module. A modular, system level simulation of the propulsion system prototype is presented in order to confirm stability for loads with uncertain input impedances and uncertain control loop speeds.

Performance Analysis of the Linear Induction Motor for the Deep-Underground High-Speed GTX

  • In order to develop a deep-underground great train express (GTX) in South Korea, the specifications decision and development of a traction control system (including an inverter and a traction motor), which considers a variety of route conditions, must be advanced. In this study, we examined the running resistance properties of a high-speed traction system based on a variety of tunnel types and vehicle organization methods. Then, we studied the power requirements necessary for the traction motor to maintain balanced speed in the high-speed traction system. From this, we determined the design criteria for the development of a high-speed traction system for use in the deep-underground GTX. Finally, we designed a linear induction motor (LIM) for a propulsion system, and we used the finite element method (FEM) to analyze its performance as it travelled through deep-underground tunnels.
