We investigated the in vitro effect of Acteoside , phenylpropanoid glycosides. is a natural product isolated from …. on proliferation, differentiation and cell cycle regulation in human promyelocytic HL -60 leukemia cells. Acteoside significantly inhibited the proliferation of HL -60 cells, with IC50 of about 30$\mu\textrm{g}$/$m\ell$. It was also found to be a potent inducer of differentiation in human leukemia derived HL-60 cells through the examination of differentiation markers. (omitted)
The proliferation of mobile applications and the unique characteristics of the mobile environment have attracted significant research interest in understanding customers' purchasing behaviors in mobile commerce. In this study, we extend customer value theory by combining the predictors of product performance with customer value framework to investigate how in-store information creates value for customers and influences mobile application downloads. Using a data set collected from the Google Application Store, we find that customers value both text and non-text information when they make downloading decisions. We apply latent semantic analysis techniques to analyze customer reviews and product descriptions in the mobile application store and determine the embedded valuable information. Results show that, for mobile applications, price, number of raters, and helpful information in customer reviews and product descriptions significantly affect the number of downloads. Conversely, average rating does not work in the mobile environment. This study contributes to the literature by revealing the role of in-store information in mobile application downloads and by providing application developers with useful guidance about increasing application downloads by improving in-store information management.

The objective of the present study was to determine the possible immune-enhancing effects of a substance extracted from a submerged culture of Lentinus edodes with rice bran (SLRB). According to the results obtained by measuring the in vitro macrophage activity of the exo-biopolymer from SLRB, it appears to exhibit activity similar to that of LPS, and this activity seems to occur in a dose-dependent manner. According to the results obtained by measuring splenocyte proliferation, the exo-biopolymer appears to induce an increase in proliferation of approximately 1.4-fold compared to the control group. We measured the proliferation of bone marrow cells in order to evaluate gut immunity and, according to our results, proliferation was increased to 109% that of the control group, and was similar to that associated with LPS. In order to characterize the enhancement of immunological activity in vivo, we orally administered the exo-biopolymer (25, 50, 250 mg/kg bw) to C3H/He mice, and then measured the macrophage activity, determining that the activity was higher than that of the controls at concentrations of 50 and 250 mg/kg. Therefore, the exo-biopolymer from SLRB can be considered to be a useful a BRM agent, as it clearly allows some protection against immunological diseases.

Tarak is a Korean traditional fermented milk product that is fermented by adding rice wine to milk. Tarak was produced with Lactobacillus paracasei ssp. paracasei M13-65-3 isolated from rice wine, and its effects on immune cell proliferation and melanin biosynthesis were investigated. Tarak extract significantly increased proliferation of T lymphocyte Jurkat clone E6-1 cells at concentrations from 10 to $100{\mu}g/mL$. Tarak inhibited activities of tyrosinase and ${\alpha}$-melanocyte-stimulating hormone-induced melanin biosynthesis in mouse skin B16-F10 cells at a concentration of $100{\mu}g/mL$. These results suggest that tarak might have functionalities for enhancing the immune system by increasing immune cell proliferation and regulating melanin biosynthesis.

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of mycelia extracts of mushroom-cultured ginseng by-product on electron donating ability and proliferation of hepatic cancer cell (Hep3B) lines and sarcoma 180(S-180). The ginseng by-product was obtained from ginseng residues generated in processing of ginseng water extract. Mushroom strains used for preparation of mushroom mycelia cultured with ginseng residue were Phellinus linteus, Ganoderma lucidum, Coriolus versicolor and Lentinus edodes. The electron donating abilities of the test samples were increased in a dose-dependent manner in the range of 500ppm to 10,000ppm, and Coriolus versicolor extract showed the most potent activity among four mycelia extracts. In an anti-cancer test using Hep3B cells, ethanol extract showed higher antiproliferating effect than water extract. Ethanol extract of Lentinus edodes showed growth-inhibitory effect of 99.1% at 5,000ppm. All of mycelia extracts of mushroom showed the tumor suppressive effect in mice injected with S-180 cells. The growthinhibitoy rates against tumor cells were 59% for Phellinus linteus, 61% for Ganoderma lucidum, 65% for Coriolus versicolor, 56% for Lentinus edodes. In conclusion, these results suggest that mycelia extracts of mushroom cultured with ginseng by-product have an antiproliferating effect against Hep3B cell and S-180 tumor cells.

The roots of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi have been used in the chinese medicine for the treatment of inflammation, fever and headache. Recent studies had shown that baicalin and baicalein showed a detoxifying effect and could inhibit peripheral capillary permeability, and Wogonin was found to inhibit the proliferation of tumor cells. Wogonin has been synthesized as shown in schem. Compound 2 was prepared from 2,6-dimethoxy-1,4-benzoquinone(1) followed by acylation to give compound 3. The base treatment of 3 gave cyclized product which was carried by deprotection of methyl group chemoselectively. Overall step included relatively simple ten steps.
Due to recent proliferation of the mobile shopping channels, customers increasingly tend to purchase using online channel while experiencing physical products in offline shops. This phenomenon requires traditional offline retailers to consider integrating online channels. In this study, we propose strategic options for the traditional offline retailers regarding the online channel integration, and provide corresponding decision models to maximize the expected profits. We also investigate how the strategic options vary with the product characteristics, by categorizing the products based on inventory cost, demand uncertainty, and fitness to the online channels. By analyzing numerical examples we illustrate how the best online channel integration strategy should be differentiated depending on the product categories.
Tarak is a traditional Korean fermented milk product, which is prepared by the addition of rice wine to milk. The major microbial strains found in Tarak are Leuconostoc citreum, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactococcus lactis, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and Pichia kudriavzevii. The activity of lactic acid bacteria isolated from traditional Korean foods of Taraki against the carcinogenic bacteria Helicobacter pylori, Escherichia coli O157:H7, and Cronobacter sakazakii was characterized. Tarak extract significantly increased the proliferation of T-lymphocyte Jurkat (clone E6-1) cells. Tarak also inhibited the tyrosinase activity and melanin biosynthesis induced by an ${\alpha}$-melanocyte-stimulating hormone in pituitary intermediate lobe.

With the development of mobile and wireless environments, the Ubiquitous era has com on the base of technologies of Semantic Web and Web Services. To accelerate proliferation of the E-Commerce in the Ubiquitous era, the importance of information search is emphasized more and more and its time to need more intelligent search for product and service which can consider location and other context-aware related information. As a starting point to meet these requirements, we proposed more effective product information search service framework through web services under semantic web environment. Over the wireless internet and we also examined its technical validity with the prototype system, implemented prototype and investigated the technological possibility.
Sasa quelpaertensis Nakai leaves contain a mixture of polysaccharides, amino acids, and polyphenols, which mediate various biological activities. For efficient utilization of its leaf, we reported the preparation procedure for phytochemical-rich extract (PRE) using the leaf residue, which was by-product of hot water extraction. This study was undertaken to evaluate the effects of PRE and its major constituent, p-coumaric acid,on the growth of several human cancer cell lines (MKN-74, MKN-45, SNU-1, SNU-16, and HL-60). The ethyl acetate fraction of PRE and p-coumaric acid significantly inhibited the proliferation of MKN-74 and HL-60 cells, respectively, and induced cell apoptosis, down-regulated Bcl-2 and poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase levels, and up-regulated those of Bax and caspase-3. These results show the potential utility of S. quelpaertensis Nakai leaves in cancer prevention.
