  • This study is an empirical research to find out the effect on the management performance of hidden champions of food manufacturing companies when using blue ocean strategy for new product development. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey on hidden champions in the domestic food manufacturing industry and proceeded empirical analysis. When small and medium-sized enterprises in food manufacturing industries develop a new product, searching for non-customer, rebuilding the market boundary, and linking the external networks have a significant impact on their management performance. However, the fair procedure did not have a significant effect on the management performance. In terms of relative influence, rebuilding the market boundary was most affecting, followed by searching for non-customer and linking the external networks. On the other hand, this study implicated the management performance of hidden champions of food manufacturing industries when new products is developed by using the blue ocean strategy. Obtained results are as follows. If small and medium-sized enterprises of food manufacturing industries develop new products, it will be able to improve the management performance by utilizing strategies such as searching for non-customer, rebuilding the market boundary, and linking the external networks. In particular, the rebuilding the market boundary among the blue ocean strategies has a relatively high impact on management performance.

  • RtMLF (Routable Molded Lead Frame) based on molded substrate has been developed to maximize advantages of both leadframe product which has high thermal and electrical performance and laminate product which accommodates more I/O count and keeps fan-in/fan-out design flexibility. Due to its structural features, RtMLF provided excellent thermal and electrical performance which was confirmed with simulation. The RtMLF samples were manufactured and its reliability analysis was done to evaluate the opportunities of the production and application.

  • The new SOLAS regulation permits the alternative design approach for the approval of designs which deviate from those where prescriptive rules apply. The new approach is being promoted by recent advances of noble designs such as those employing large public spaces in passenger ships. From the respect of fire safety, it is needed to show that the level of safety of new design is equivalent to what can be achieved from the prescriptive rules where the fire simulation is regarded to be the essential tool. This paper provides an overview of the process of performance-based design of the smoke extraction system in a cafeteria of a ROPAX. FDS, a CFD fire simulation software is used to show that the field-model software can improve the fire safety over what are expected from prescriptive rule sets or zone-model application.

Methods: Researcher developed research model about Lean-NPD activities. And researched Lean-NPD. This study analyzed model fitness and path significant with SEM(Structural Equation Model). Results: Fitness of the research model was satisfactory level. Leadership capabilities and production operations were significantly influence marketing capabilities(t> ${\pm}1.96$). Organizational culture significantly affected marketing capabilities(t> ${\pm}1.96$). R&D capabilities and marketing competencies had significant influence on business performance(t> ${\pm}1.96$). Marketing capabilities had significant influence on quantitative management performance(t> ${\pm}1.96$). Outstanding leadership appear to directly affect Qualitative Performance(t> ${\pm}1.96$). Conclusion: Under the excellent leadership and management environment definite organic Lean-NPD organizational culture significantly affects the operation can be seen. Lean-NPD of operational activities to provide value to customers, customer-oriented marketing activities can be seen that more important than anything. Lean NPD based on customer needs is key factor of growth.

  • This study investigates the effects of business environment on the e-business strategy and performance of venture firms. The development of the research model is based on the empirical studies on the strategy literature. The data from the survey was analyzed using Partial Least Squares(PLS). For Daedeok Valley Venture Firms, product innovation differentiation strategy is affected by environmental uncertainty. And, cost leadership strategy tend to be influence by environmental uncertainty. Finally, venture firm's performance is effected by cost leadership strategy and marketing differentiation strategy. However, for in Hsinchu Science Park Venture Firms, product innovation differentiation strategy is affected by environmental uncertainty and heterogeneity. And, marketing differentiation strategy is enhanced by environment uncertainty and industry growth. In addition, cost leadership strategy tend to be influence by environmental uncertainty and heterogeneity. Finally, venture firm's performance is effected by cost leadership strategy and product innovation differentiation strategy.

  • Purpose: The research aims at examining the impact of marketer capabilities and persistence on marketer performance and distribution of agricultural product facilities. Research design, data, and methodology: The research employs quantitative methods using a cross-sectional design survey by analyzing the marketer of agricultural production facilities. Sampling was done using the purposive sampling technique and data were taken from 235 respondents. The data were then processed using SEM-PLS. Results: The findings reveal that both marketer capabilities and marketer persistence significantly impact the performance of agricultural product facility marketers. Notably, marketer persistence exerts a more dominant influence on marketer performance than marketer capabilities. Effective communication and coordination between the sales team and the distribution center emerge as crucial factors determining the success of distributing agricultural equipment to reach farmers' land at the optimal time. Conclusions: The findings offer valuable managerial insights for agricultural product facility companies seeking to enhance marketer performance. To achieve this, companies should focus on increasing marketer persistence, with an emphasis on nurture-focused persistence rather than closure-focused persistence. Additionally, improving marketer capabilities is crucial, starting with relationship development, followed by trust building, customer retention, responsiveness, and acquisition. These strategies can collectively contribute to boosting marketer performance within the organization.

  • This study investigates how cognitive and affective conflict affect performance and social outcomes in the new product situation. We examine the corporate, project, and personal characteristics that determine the level of inter-functional conflict between marketing and R&D. From a survey of Korean high-tech companies, we found : (1) time pressure was positively related to cognitive and affective conflict, (2) joint reward systems, interdepartmental connectedness, and years of education were negatively associated to cognitive conflict, (3) while cognitive conflict was positively related to new product creativity and NPD performance, affective conflict was negatively associated to marketing-R&D integration and perceived effectiveness of the relationship, as well as new product creativity and NPD performance.

  • The effectiveness of silica-based microgels prepared through the reaction of sulfuric acid and sodium silicate as a component of Compozil system has been evaluated . Silica based microgels with better performance in retention and drainage than a commercial colloidal silica sol have been successfully prepared. Silica gels with the highest charge density were obtained when product pH was controlled to 9. And highly charged silica-based microgels showed greater retention and freeness performance than a commerical product. In particular the difference in retention, turbidity , and freeness between these microgels and a commercial product was eminent at low addition rate. The effects of reaction conditions including reaction temperature, process water quality and feeing rate on product efficiency in improving retention and drainage were also investigated and discussed.

  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) has been implemented in many companies to enhance their business performance and customer satisfaction. However, DFSS has not been widely applied to the aircraft industry which operates large, complex development programs. In this paper, the characteristics of an aeronautical product development program are analyzed to figure out the limitations of current DFSS methodology and the prerequisite to deployment of DFSS at the program level is suggested.
