  • The results of testing general components, physical property and physical function after having made steamed rice cake by adding eggplant, which caters to consumers' tastes are as follows. It showed that when eggplant powder content increased, the moisture content of steamed rice cake with eggplant was decreased. It also showed that the lightness value (L) of steamed rice cake with eggplant powder was the highest as 82.75 in the control group. When eggplant powder content increased, the redness (a) and yellowness (b) were increased. From the results of having measured the antioxidant potential over the steamed rice cake with freezing-drying eggplant powder by DPPH radical elimination, we figured out that it was the lowest as 48.30% in the control group. As more eggplant powder was added, its elimination increased accordingly. As per hardness of steamed rice cake with eggplant, the added group with 7% was revealed as the highest at 0.757. It showed that adhesiveness was the lowest as 30.233 in the control group, and springiness and cohesiveness were on the rise as freezing-drying eggplant powder was increased. Furthermore, softness and chewiness were shown to be high in the added group with eggplant powder of 3, 5%. The evaluation over the overall preference was the highest in 5% added group. Judging from this, adding 3~5% eggplant powder against non-glutinous rice powder is considered an optimal quantity in making steamed rice cake with eggplant.

  • This study attempted to solve daily inconveniences and propose a direction for healthy skin care after investigating eating habits, preferred food and shower frequency and analyzing the relationship between these living habits and perceived skin dryness among adult men in their 30-40s who are suffering from pruritus due to dry skin. Most respondents revealed a high level of inconvenience in their daily lives because of dry skin. According to analysis of the correlation between these life habits and skin dryness, they had an effect on skin dryness in most categories of eating habits, preferred food and shower frequency. In particular, as the amount of smoking or preference for sweet food increased, skin dryness became more serious. Therefore, it appears it would be important to control the intake of preferred food and have healthy eating habits in that eating habits and smoking are correlated with skin health, and skin health is an indicator of physical health.

  • In this paper, we propose a system to users which recommends suitable park using linguistic objects by rule-based inference engine which is made with Prolog. According to the function of city park, which provides positive elements to people such as social, psychological, environmental, and physical, Seoul city park is classified into 6 categories. The classified parks are recommended to users based on the rule based expert system. Rule-based object of park recommendation designs nine linguistic objects based on activity, multi-purposiveness, accessibility, and usage of time. This assigns allowed value accordingly. Generated rules by using these values are fired by user's preference, and infer recommended park. Information on preferences is obtained by way of dialogue, in which the user is asked questions about the three elements that are the criteria for choosing a park. As a result, through the park recommendation system, we intend to increase the user's satisfaction of using park and leisure activities.

  • This study examines the economic ripple effect of Korean wave(Hallyu). Specifically, this study tries to investigate how the satisfaction of Korean popular music among Chinese college students affects the purchase intention for Korean culture products such as Korea tour, the Korean language, and Korean martial art(Taekwondo). These products are not directly related to the Korean popular music. Results show that the overall satisfaction of Korean popular music leads to the preference for Korean popular music, which in turn improves the liking of Korean wave(Hallyu), the liking of Korea, and the purchase intention for Korean culture products. It is also found that the liking of Korean wave(Hallyu) affects the purchase intention for Korean culture products, which is mediated by the liking of Korea. However, the positive relationship between the liking of Korea and the purchase intention for Korean culture products is shown marginally significant.

  • This study addresses the relationship between individual differences regarding self-concept, measured by Self Concept Clarity (SCC) scale and Relational-Interdependent Self-Construal and relationships (RISC) scale, and diverse affective consequences after choice behavior. We hypothesized that lower self-concept clarity and higher relational interdependence would be related to increased susceptibility to choice context-for example, how a choice set is constructed based on one's initial preference. We examined how variations in a choice set can produce different affective consequences after making choices, and investigated the underlying neural mechanism using fMRI. In this experiment, participants first rated their preferences for art posters, and made a series of choices from a presented set. After the choice task, they completed post-choice measures including preferences for the chosen posters, as well as measures of their self-concept clarity and relational interdependence. Our behavioral results demonstrated that when participants faced more conflicting choice context, self-concept clarity was related to more positive affective consequences after choice, whereas relational interdependence was correlated with a lower second-rated attractiveness of the chosen option. The neuroimaging analysis of choice-making revealed that self-concept clarity and the degree of their relational interdependence served as modulators in shaping how one perceives and experiences the same decision-making process. These results have theoretical and practical importance in that it is one of the first studies investigating the influence of the individual differences regarding self-concept on value-based decision making process among diverse choice set contexts.
