  • The learning control develops controllers that learn to improve their performance at executing a given task, based on experience performing this specific task. In a previous work the authors presented an iterative precision of linear decentralized learning control based on p-integrated teaming method for the vertical dynamic multiple systems. This paper develops an indirect decentralized learning control based on adaptive control method. The original motivation of the loaming control field was learning in robots doing repetitive tasks such as on a]1 assembly line. This paper starts with decentralized discrete time systems, and progresses to the robot application, modeling the robot as a time varying linear system in the neighborhood of the nominal trajectory, and using the usual robot controllers that are decentralized, treating each link as if it is independent of any coupling with other links. Error wave propagation method will show up in the numerical simulation for five-bar linkage as a vertical dynamic robot. The methods of learning system are shown up for the iterative precision of each link at each time step in repetition domain. Those can be helped to apply to the vertical multiple dynamic systems for precision quality assurance in the industrial robots and medical equipments.

  • This paper presents to study the velocity control method of AGV for heavy material transport. Generally, in the industries, fork-type AGV using path tracking requires high stop-precision with performing operations for 20 hours. To obtain the high stop-precision of AGV for heavy material transport, AGV requires driving technic during low speed. Hence, we use encoder with keeping the speed of AGV and study the velocity control method to improve for the stop-precision of AGV. To experiment the proposed the velocity control method, we performed the experiments engaging the pallet located 4m in front of the AGV. In the experimental result, the maximum error of stop-precision was less than 18.64mm, and we verified that the proposed method is able to control stable.

  • In this paper, a new method of position synchronizing control is proposed for multi-axes driving system. The proposed position synchronizing control system is constituted with speed and synchronizing controller. The speed controller is aimed at the following to speed reference. Furthermore, it is designed to guarantee low sensitivity under some disturbance as well as robustness against model uncertainties using $H_{\infty}$technique. The synchronizing controller is designed to keep minimizing the position error using PID control law which is considered to reduce the dimension of transfer function in the control system. Especially, the proposed method can be easily conducted by controlling only slave axis speed, because it, has variable structure which is decided to master and slave axis by the sign of synchronizing error. Therfore, the master axis which is smaller influenced than another axes by disturbance can be controlled without reducing or increasing its speed for precise position synchronization. The effectiveness of the proposed method is sucessfully confirmed through many experiments.s.

  • This paper presents in-process compensation methodology to eliminate cutter runout and improve machined surface quality. The cutter runout compensation system consists of the micro-positioning mechanism with the PZT (piezo-electric translator) which is embeded in the sliding table to manipulate the radial depth of cut in real time. For the implementation of cutter runout compensation methodology. cutting force adaptive control was proposed in the angle domain based upon PI (proportional-integral) control strategy to eliminate chip-load change in end milling process. Micro-positioning control due to adaptive acuation force response improves the machined surface quality by compensation or elimination of cutter runout induced cutting force variation. This results will provide lots of information to build-up the precision machining technology.

  • This paper proposes the fuzzy-PLL control system for fast response time and precision control of automation systems. The conventional PLL has not only a jitter noise caused from such a demerit of the wide dead zone, but also a long delay interval that makes a high speed operation unable. In order to solve the problems, the proposed system, which provides the improvement in terms of the control region in high speed and precision control, first used the fuzzy control method for fast response time and when the error reaches the preset value, used the PLL method designing new PFD for precision control. The new designed multi-PFD improves the dead zone, jitter noise and response characteristics, which is consists of P-PFD(Positive edge triggered PFD) and N-PFD(Negative edge triggered PFD) and can improve response characteristics to increase PFD gain.

  • This paper proposes a Dual Controller System for Precision Control (DCSPC) for control of the gripper. The DCSPC consists of two subsystems, CDSP (Controller based DSP) and CARM (Controller based ARM processor). The CDSP is developed on a DSP processor and controls the gripping motor and LVDT. In particular, the CARM is implemented using Linux and ARM processor according to recent research related to open-source. The robot for high-precision assembly is divided into the robot control and the gripper control section and controls CARM and CDSP systems respectively. In this paper, we also proposed and measured the performance of communication API. As a result, it is expected to recognize improvements in communication between CARM and the robot controller, and will continue to conduct relevant research among other commercial robot controllers.

  • This paper proposes the new hybrid adaptive controller for fast response time and precision control of automation system which exist deadzone or non-linearity of system. The proposed system, which provides the improvement in terms of the control region in high speed and precision control, first used the fuzzy control method for fast response time and when the error reaches the preset value, used the PLL method designing PFD improved jitter for precision control. The new designed PFD improves the jitter noise and response characteristic without generating deadzone. The theoretical and experimental studies have been carried out. The presented results from the above investigation show considerably improved performance in the position control of automation system.

  • Robot manipulator has highly nonlinear dynamics. Therefore the control of multi-link robot arms is a challenging and difficult problem. In this paper an independent joint adaptive fuzzy sliding mode scheme is developed leer control of robot manipulators. The proposed scheme does not require an accurate manipulator dynamic model, yet it guarantees asymptotic trajectory tracking despite gross robot parameter variations. Numerical simulation for independent joint control of a 3-axis PUMA arm will also be included.

  • Excavator has been used in wide field since the attachment in the end effect can be changeable according to the purpose of working. However, efficiency of work using excavator mainly depends on an operator's ability. For the purpose of improving the efficiency of work and reducing the fatigue of operator, the automatic excavator system has been researched. In this paper, the tracking control system of each links of excavator is designed before developing the automatic excavator system. In order to apply the tracking control system, the pneumatic excavator system is developed and the tracking control system is applied. For designing the tracking control system, the adaptive sliding mode control algorithm is proposed. The performance of the proposed control system is evaluated through experiments using the pneumatic excavator system.

  • The target of this paper is the development of Web-based monitoring & control system which is for effective and economic management of mold manufacturing process. This system has three module; G-code Control, Monitoring Module and Result analysis module. Also, as the environment of development is based on internet, this system which is possible to the remote site management of manufacturing process works on Web. To be possible to control the manufacturing monitoring by client, each module is made ActiveX control and is based on socket communication. This system makes the foundation which is possible to manage the mold manufacturing process efficiently from remote site by matching real-time monitoring with manufacturing process in factory using G-code control and displaying the result of manufacturing using Ch-CGI.
