PVA-SbQ 수용성 감광성 고분자의 구조와 감도관계 및 칼라 수상관 스크린 공정에의 응용 (Structure-Property Relationship of PVA-SbQ Water Soluble Photosensitive Polymer and its Application to Screening Process of Color Monitor)

  • 광 이량화 특성을 나타내는 1-methyl-4-[2-(4-diethylacetylphenyl)ethenyl] pridinium methosulfate(SbQ-A염)를 dimethyl sulfate, terephthalaldehyde mono-(diethyl acetal) 및 4-picoline을 이용하여 합성하였다. 합성된 SbQ-A염을 PVA와 반응시켜 동일(MW=77,000-79,000g/mol) 분자량을 가진 PVA내 SbQ의 함량이 다른 PVA-SbQ-H 시료 및 SbQ의 함량은 약 1.3mol%로 같으나 PVA의 분자량이 다른 PVA-SbQ-L들을 합성하였다. Gray scale(GS)법을 이용하여 측정된 PVA-SbQ 수용성 감광성 고분자의 상대감도는 PVA내 SbQ의 함량이 증가함에 따라 증가하였으며, PVA의 분자량이 낮아질수록 감소하였다. PVA-SbQ-H의 경우 SbQ 함량이 2.63mol%인 시료는 PVA에 ammonium dichromate가 혼합된 기존시료보다 90배 증가된 감도를 나타내었다. PVA-SbQ를 사용하여 형광체 슬러리를 제조하고 사진식각공정을 거쳐 형광체의 미세패턴을 형성하였다. 형광체 슬러리 제조시 양이온 계면활성제인 cetyltrimethyl ammonium chloride를 첨가제로 사용하면 형광면의 해상도가 증가됨을 알았다.

  • A fluorescing, copolymer(Q)-bearing, quaternary ammonium pendant was mixed with excess natural salmon sperm DNA with a molecular weight of $1.3{\times}10^6$(2,000 base pairs) to afford highly fluorescing, complex mixtures. The fluorescence life-time of the polymer Q was greatly increased when mixed with DNA: for the mixture of Q:DNA=1:750 the fast and slow decay lifetimes increased from ca. 10 to 100 ps and from 20 ps to ca. 1 ns, respectively. The enhanced fluorescence of the mixtures was ascribed to efficient compartmentalization and reduced conformational relaxation of the polymer Q by complexation with excess DNA.

PVA-SbQ 고분자 물질을 이용한 ISFET 尿素센서 (ISFET Urea Sensor Using PVA-SbQ Polymer)

  • 반도체 수소이온센서인 pH-ISFET를 제조 하고, 이를 ISFET 요소 센서로 이용하기 위하여 pH-ISFET의 Si$_3$$N_4$ 막 위에 요소 분해효소인 urease를 감광성 고분자 물질인 PVA-SbQ를 이용하여 고정화하였다. 제조된 센서는 빠른 응답특성과 우수한 재현성을 보였으며, 약 1∼50 mg/dl의 요소농도를 정량할 수 있었다. 또한 그 임상적용을 위한 기초연구로서 혈액 중에 존재하는 여러 가지 물질들이 센서의 출력에 미치는 영향을 조사하였으며, 혈장의 요소농도를 측정하여 현재 실용되고 있는 분광광도법의 결과와 비교하였다.

Swelling Controlled Delivery of Antibiotic from a Hydrophilic Macromolecular Matrix with Hydrophobic Moieties

  • A hydrophilic macromolecular network containing hydrophobic moieties has been prepared by free radical copolymerization of acrylamide and styrene in the presence of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and its potential as controlled drug delivery carrier was evaluated with tetracycline as a model antibiotic drug. The amount of drug was assayed spectrophotometrically. The network was characterized by optical microscopy, infra-red spectroscopy and structural parameters such as average molecular weight between cross1inks ($M_c$), cross1ink density (q) and number of elastically effective chains ($V_e$) were evaluated. It was found that with increasing concentration of PVA, ST and MBA in the hydrogel, the release rate initially increases but after definite concentrations of the above components the release rate falls. In the case of AM, release rate constantly decreases with increasing AM concentration in the hydrogel.

  • This paper has proposed a serial 8-bit DAC for column driver circuits of mobile displays using LTPS TFTs. The DAC circuit takes very small area by using parasitic capacitance of column lines as sampling and holding capacitors. Moreover, the proposed DAC does not need the analog buffer, because the DAC operation is performed on the column lines. For the data driver circuits of 2-inch qVGA OLED panel, the DAC area is $84um{\times}800um$ and the simulated DAC power consumption is 8.5mW with 10-V supply voltage.

Epi poly를 이용한 MEMS 소자용 웨이퍼 단위의 진공 패키징에 대한 연구 (A Study on Wafer Level Vacuum Packaging using Epi poly for MEMS Applications)

  • A new vacuum packaging process in wafer level is developed for the surface micromachining devices using glass silicon anodic bonding technology. The inside pressure of the packaged device was measured indirectly by the quality factor of the mechanical resonator. The measured Q factor was about 5$\times10^4$ and the estimated inner pressure was about 1 mTorr. And it is also possible to change the inside pressure of the packaged devices from 2 Torr to 1 mTorr by varying the amount of the Ti gettering material. The long-term stability test is still on the way, but in initial characterization, the yield is about 80% and the vacuum degradation with time was not observed.

  • A CMOS RF bandpass amplifier which performs both functions of low-noise amplifier and bandpass filter is designed for the application of 1.9 ㎓ RF front-end in wireless receivers. The positive-feedback Q-enhancement technique is used to overcome the low gain and low Q factor of the bandpass amplifier. The designed bandpass amplifier is simulated with HSPICE and fabricated using HYUNDAI $0.8\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS 2-poly 2-metal full custom process. Under 3 V supply voltage, results of simulation show that the CMOS bandpass amplifier provides the power gain 23dB, noise figure 3.8 dB, and power dissipation 55mW.

Structural modal identification through ensemble empirical modal decomposition

  • Identifying structural modal parameters, especially those modes within high frequency range, from ambient data is still a challenging problem due to various kinds of uncertainty involved in vibration measurements. A procedure applying an ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) method is proposed for accurate and robust structural modal identification. In the proposed method, the EEMD process is first implemented to decompose the original ambient data to a set of intrinsic mode functions (IMFs), which are zero-mean time series with energy in narrow frequency bands. Subsequently, a Sub-PolyMAX method is performed in narrow frequency bands by using IMFs as primary data for structural modal identification. The merit of the proposed method is that it performs structural identification in narrow frequency bands (take IMFs as primary data), unlike the traditional method in the whole frequency space (take original measurements as primary data), thus it produces more accurate identification results. A numerical example and a multiple-span continuous steel bridge have been investigated to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • Electroluminescence(EL) devices based on organic thin layers have attracted lot of interests because of their possible application as large-area display-emitting display. One of the problems of such devices is lifetime of the cell, where the degradation of the cell is partially due to the crystalliyzation of organic layers. In large part, this problem can be solved by using a multilayer device structure prepared by vapor deposition technique. In this study, blue light-emitting multilayer organic electroluminescence devices were fabricated vsing Poly (9-vinylcarbaEole) (PVK) and 2- (4-tert-butylphenyl)-5-(4$^{#}$-bis-phenyl) 1,3,4-oxadiazole (PBO) as hole trasport and electron transport material, respectively, where trim(8-hyd roxyquinolinate) aluminum (Al $q_3$) was used as a luminescenct material. A cell structure of glass sub- strate/indume-tin-oxide(ITO)/PCK/Al $q_3$/PBD/Mg:In was employed. Blue emission peak at 510nm was observed with this cell structure.e.

3-D Field 해석을 통한 온칩 나선형 인덕터 제작 (The Fabrication of On-chip Spiral Inductors Through 3-D Field Analysis)

  • In this paper, we verified basic forms and equivalent circuits of spiral inductors and various kinds of parasitics of equivalent circuits by using HFSS and Nexxim program that were 3-D EM analysis tools, and fabrication on-chip spiral inductors using Hynix's 0.25um 1-poly and 5-metal CMOS process. Comparing with PGS(patterned ground shield) and NPGS(non patterned ground shield) of spiral inductors of 3.5 turn, 4.5 turn and 5.5 turn, etc, the application of PGS could improve maximum Q value by 8-12%.
