정위치 해석해를 가지는 병렬 메카니즘에 관한 분석과 혼합구조 매니퓰레이터로의 활용 (Analysis of Parallel Mechanisms with Forward Position Closed-Form Solution with Application to Hybrid Manipulator)

  • In this work, a new 3-PSP type spatial 3-degree-of-freedom parallel mechanism is proposed. And a 6 DOF hybrid manipulator which consists of a 3-PPR type planar 3 DOF parallel mechanism and a new 3-PSP type spatial 3-degree-of-freedom parallel mechanism is proposed. Both 3 DOF mechanism modules have closed-form forward position solutions and particularly, 3-PSP spatial module has unique forward position solution. Firstly, the closed-form position analysis and first-order kinematic analysis for the proposed 3-PSP type module are carried out, and the first-order kinematic characteristics are examined via maximum singular value and the isotropic index of the mechanism. It is shown through these analyses that the mechanism has excellent isotrpic property throughout the workspace. Secondly, position and kinematic analysis of the 3-PPR planar module are briefly described. Thirdly, the forward position analysis for the 3-PPR 3-PSP type 6 degree-of-freedom hybrid mechanism consisting of a 3-PPR planar module and a 3-PSP spatial module is performed along with the analysis of the workspace size and first-order kinematic characteristics. The kinematic characteristics of the proposed hybrid manipulator are compared to those of geometrically similar Stewart manipulator.

십자형 평판 모노폴 안테나의 L자형 슬릿에 의한 다중 공진 특성 연구 (A Study on the Multiple Resonance Characteristics of Crossed Planar Monopole Antenna by L-Shaped Slit)

  • 본 논문에서는 십자형 평판 모노폴 안테나에 L자형 슬릿을 두어 이중공진 및 삼진공진 등 다중 공진 특성이 발생하는 새로운 형태의 안테나 구조를 제안하였다. 십자형 평판 모노폴 안테나 구조에서 다중공진 특성이 발생하도록 하기 위해서는 평판 모노폴 안테나의 높이와 길이를 원하는 공진 주파수에 맞추고, 안테나 표면에 L자형 슬릿을 두어 슬릿의 길이와 슬릿의 개수에 따라 공진 주파수를 여러 개 발생시킨다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 안테나의 장점은 L자형 슬릿의 길이와 개수에 의해 쉽게 특정 주파수 대역에서 다중공진이 발생하도록 설계 가능하다는 것이다. 또한, 공진이 발생하는 주파수에서 모두 무지향성의 방사패턴과 함께 일정 수준 이상의 고이득을 가져 차량용 등 이동체용 안테나에 적합하다.

Planar Motion Mechanism Test of the Mobile Harbor Running in Design Speed in Circulating Water Channel

  • Mobile Harbor (MH) is a new transportation platform that can load and unload containers onto and from very large container ships at sea. It could navigate near harbors where several vessels run, or it could navigate through very narrow channels. In the conceptual design phase when the candidate design changes frequently according to the various performance requirements, it is very expensive and time-consuming to carry out model tests using a large model in a large towing tank and a free-running model test in a large maneuvering basin. In this paper, a new Planar Motion Mechanism(PMM) test in a Circulating Water Channel (CWC) was conducted in order to determine the hydrodynamic coefficients of the MH. To do this, PMM devices including three-component load cells and inertia tare device were designed and manufactured, and various tests of the MH such as static drift test, pure sway test, pure yaw test, and drift-and-yaw combined test were carried out. Using those coefficients, course-keeping stability was analyzed. In addition, the PMM tests results carried out for the same KCS (KRISO container ship) were compared with our results in order to confirm the test validity.

적층 평판형 SOFC 모듈에서 소결 시 전해질 층의 휨 현상 (The Warpage Phenomena of Electrolyte Layer During the Sintering Process in the Layered Planar SOFC Module)

  • A layered planer SOFC module was designed from planar-type SOFC. It was prepared by multi-layered ceramic technology. To form the cathode and the anode in the layered structure, reliable channels should be made on the both side of electrolyte perpendicularly. However, monolithic SOFC using multi-layered ceramic technology hasn't been studied another group, and the warpage of electrolyte in the channel, also, hasn't been studied, when electrode is printed on the electrolyte. In this study, the channels are prepared with electrode printing, and their warpage are evaluated. In the case of YSZ without electrode, the warpages are nothing in the limit of measurement using optical microscope. The warpage of 'YSZ-NiO printed' increases than that of 'NiO printed', and also, the case of 'double electrode printed' is similar to 'YSZ-NiO printed'. It is thought that, in the printed electrolyte, the warpage is related to the difference of the sintering behavior of each material.

Evaluation of AC Resistance in Litz Wire Planar Spiral Coils for Wireless Power Transfer

  • A relatively high operating frequency is required for efficient wireless power transfer (WPT). However, the alternating current (AC) resistance of coils increases sharply with operating frequency, which possibly degrades overall efficiency. Hence, the evaluation of coil AC resistance is critical in selecting operating frequency to achieve good efficiency. For a Litz wire coil, AC resistance is attributed to the magnetic field, which leads to the skin effect, the proximity effect, and the corresponding conductive resistance and inductive resistance in the coil. A numerical calculation method based on the Biot-Savart law is proposed to calculate magnetic field strength over strands in Litz wire planar spiral coils to evaluate their AC resistance. An optimized frequency can be found to achieve the maximum efficiency of a WPT system based on the predicted resistance. Sample coils are manufactured to verify the resistance analysis method. A prototype WPT system is set up to conduct the experiments. The experiments show that the proposed method can accurately predict the AC resistance of Litz wire planar spiral coils and the optimized operating frequency for maximum efficiency.

  • In this paper, Solar, Wind, fuel cell used in a Power conversion devices and industrial inverter motor to increase the efficiency of energy consumption, which is a core part of high-efficiency, high-voltage Trench Gate Field Stop IGBT was studied. For this purpose Planar type NPT IGBT and Planar type Field Stop IGBT have designed a basic structure designed to Trench Gate Field Stop IGBT based on the completed structure by analyzing the energy consumption of electrical characteristics, efficiency is a key part, high-efficiency and high-voltage inverter for industry regarding the optimization design for Trench Gate Field Stop IGBT.

다중방전 경로를 이용한 편상접지체의 접지저항 및 전류특성 (Grounding Resistance and Current Characteristics of the Planar Earth Structure using Multiple Discharge Paths)

  • This study proposes a newly modified form of existing ground electrodes in order to secure trust of grounding system for large current caused by a stroke of lightning. Proposed planar earth structure has a several needle electrodes around a circular rod and 4 plane electrodes in all directions. The plane electrodes are fused with the insulator on the linear rod, so that they're electrically isolated. The concept is to increase the discharge amount of earth structure using multiple discharge paths like needle and plane electrodes. To check the discharge efficiency of the suggested scheme, the discharge currents are compared with typically used two kinds of ground rods. To ensure accuracy in the measurement of the discharge current, the same material was used for the comparison model. Also, the ground resistance are simulated by CDEGS commercial software and the results are compared with measured data. Based on this kind of experimental study, the suggested ground rod can be used when designing a ground system or when constructing a ground system at the site.

  • Stacks of solid oxide fuel cell under 1kW max power were designed on planar type employing anode supported cell and metallic interconnects. The stacks composed of 3-cells, 8-cells, and 16-cells were fabricated by using single cell purchased from Indec, sealant and interconnect prepared at RIST. In performance test of the final 16-cells stacks, OCV was recorded to be 16.7 V. Peak power and power density were 1 kW, 0.77 $W/cm^{2}$ at $820^{\circ}C$, respectively. In addition, the long term degradation rate of the power exhibited 2.25 % in 500 h at $750^{\circ}C$.

평면형 3자유도 병렬 메커니즘의 여유 구동 특성 분석 (Analysis of the Redundant Actuation Characteristics of the Planar 3-DOF Parallel Mechanism)

  • A redundantly actuated planar 3-degree-of-freedom parallel mechanism is analyzed to show its high application potential as a haptic device. Its structure along with the closed form forward position solutions is briefly discussed. Then its geometric and kinematic characteristics via singularity analysis, the kinematic isotropy index, and the input-output force transmission ratio are investigated both for the redundantly actuated cases and for the non-redundantly actuated case. In addition, comparative joint torque simulations of the mechanism with different number of redundant actuations as well as without redundant actuation are conducted to confirm the improved joint torque distribution characteristics. Through these analyses it is shown that the geometric and kinematic characteristics of the redundantly actuated mechanism are superior to the ones of the mechanism without redundant actuation. Thus, it can be concluded that the suggested planar mechanism with redundant actuation has a very high potential for haptic device applications.

Ti 내부확산/양자교환(TIPE)방식에 의한 평면 광도파로 렌즈의 제작 (Fabrication of a Optical Planar Waveguide Lens by Ti-Indiffused Proton-Exchange)

  • 본 논문에서는 Y-cut $LiNbO_3$ 기판 위에 TIPE 방식을 이용하여 평면 광도파로 렌즈를 제작하고 그 특성을 측정하였다. Ti 내부확산 평면광도파로 및 TIPE 평면 광도파로 제작하고, 프리즘 결합으로 굴절율을 측정하였다. 측정한 기본파 유효굴절율로부터 평면 광도파로 렌즈의 궤적을 구하여, 사진식각법과 lift-off기법을 이용하여 TIPE 평면 광도파로 렌즈를 제작하였다. 도파로를 따라 도파되던 광이 평면 광도파로 렌즈에 의하여 접속되는 현상을 관측하였고 측정한 결과와 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션의 결과가 잘 일치함을 알 수 있었다. 관측한 초점의 위치 및 크기가 설계한 값과 잘 일치하였다.
