This study is research on physical health and mental health(physical and mental symptom at school) in perceived school environment among adolescents. The study subjects ere selected by senior high school students in seoul and random sampling. The 3,060 subjects were selected 18 schools. The duration for survey was for Nov. 25-Dec. 13, 1998. The reliability of Questionnaire was Cronbach's $\alpha=0.95$. This study used multiple regression through Factor Analysis in SPSS programs. The major findings of this study are as follows: (1) All of Multiple Regression Models were significant. (p<0.001). (2) Physical Mental health is related to gender, personal environment, and economic status. (3) Physical Health is related to perceived school environmental variable (therapeutic teacher-student relationships, classrom climate, and school life satisfaction) among adolescents. (4) Mental Health is related to perceived school environment variables(therapeutic teacher-student relationships, classroom climate, school life satisfaction, teachers' climate, and classmates' attitudes) among adolescents. This study could be used as the basis for the development of educational program, counseling, teacher in-service training, student teacher training and the establishment of educational and health policy.

The purposes of this study are to analyze sex education content in high school textbooks and to suggest new guidelines for high school sex education content from a gender equality standpoint. The study analyzes sex-related content from high school textbooks based on the 7th curriculum, including subject areas such as Technical/Home Economics, Sciences, Physical Education, Social Studies and Moral Studies. The analysis relies on the framework of Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States that covers 4 levels and 6 categories as well as the framework of Choi (2005) that includes 36 themes in 6 different categories. The results of this study are as follows: First, high school sex-related textbooks are focused mainly on human development and human relations. Secondly, there is a lot of level 3 sex education content within the analyzed textbooks. Third, there are gender inequality issues in the coverage of such topics as pregnancy, contraception and sexual violence. Fourth, there are also gender inequality problems caused by content level. This study recommends that gender inequality issues be included in high school sex education guidelines in the future in order to provide improved and appropriate content for high school level sex education.

The summary of the distinguishing features of the program(developed In this research) 1. The purpose of this study was to explore college students' subjective perception on physical education using Q-methodology. Thirty college students participated in this study. This study found four types of college students' perception for physical education. Type I is named 'the type of Emphasizing Expertise.' The subjects of type I emphasize the importance of practicing professional motor skills and basic physical education knowledge in physical education classes. Type II is named 'the type of Emphasizing Instructional Strategy.' The subjects of type II emphasize the importance of developing effective teaching methods for students to participate actively. Type III is named 'the type of Making Physical Education Mandatory.' The subjects of type III emphasize the needing to make physical education and to increase physical education classes in school. Type IV is named 'the type of Emphasizing Sports for All.' The subjects of type IV emphasize to improve students' fitness and social-skill and connect between physical education and sports for all. These findings will contribute to plan the effective school curriculum.
Considerable attention has been given to Comprehensive School Physical Activity Program(CSPAP) to promote children's health and physical activity(PA) in Sport Pedagogy. This study examined the structural characteristics and effects of CSPAP using literature review analysis to comprehensively overview CSPAP model, which emphasizes the necessity of promoting PA and establishing a healthy lifestyle. Based on the results of the study, CSPAP provide health-enhancing PA in conjunction with schools, communities, and family. CSPAP suggested the importance of PA promotion in sport pedagogy via the uptake of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA) accrual in line with the goal of high-quality physical education.

Objectives: This study aimed to examine the association between depression and stress and health risk behaviors of high school students. Methods : Participants were 1134 high school student. he participants completed the following measures : Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS), CES-D(Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale. Results : The more stress score of male students is high, the score of the problem act on safety was significantly higher. The higher the score depression was significantly higher safety risk behavior score, violent behavior, act tries to commit suicide, smoking behavior, drug use behavior, inappropriate weight loss behavior, irregular eating habit, non-physical activity behavior. The more stress score of female students is significantly high was higher safety risk behavior score, irregular eating habit, non-physical activity behavior. The more depression score of female students is high was significantly higher safety risk behavior score, irregular eating habit, non-physical activity behavior. Conclusions: This study investigated the association between depression and stress and health risk behaviors, and helped in the development of programs to improve the health management ability of high school students.
This study aims to comparatively analyze kinetic variables that affect high jump records and thus to provide the basic data for enhancement of physical education teachers' teaching skills and expertise. 10 students who were majoring in physical education in a college of education - five males and five females - were chosen for the experiment in which the 3D image analyzer and ground reaction force measuring unit were adopted. The kinetic variables of the groups, the characteristics and differences were analyzed, and the correlation between each variable and record in each group was examined. The results are as follows: As to the height of center of gravity from one step before stamping to landing, the vertical velocity of the center of gravity at take off, the vertical velocity of the limbs at take off, the angles of the hip joint and ankle joint of the jumping leg, it turned out that male were better than female. As to the angles of the hip joint and ankle joint of the lead leg, female recorded higher values than male. As to the maximum vertical ground reaction force, the maximum horizontal ground reaction force, the vertical impulse, it turned out that male were better than female.

This research was conducted to provide basic document on efficient health promotion behavior program that elementary school students can use from elementary school course to enhance health promotion behavior for healthy life by checking out the degree of the most influential factor for health promotion behavior about elementary school students who establish lifelong health habit, and by checking out the relation between the degree of self-efficacy and health promotion behavior. The number of subjects of this research was 598. They were all elementary school students from the sixth grade students of the 5 cities of the Kyeong Nam province. We conducted questionnaires and did statistical analyses by using 592 papers which were suitable for date analyses with SPSS. The conclusions were as follows; A. The degree of self-efficacy The degree of self-efficacy of elementary school students was more than average. The degree of self-efficacy on physical activity was the highest and the degree of self-efficacy on self-fulfillment was the lowest. The degree of self-efficacy of girl students was comparatively higher than that of boy students. When their parents got higher education, made a lot of money and kept harmony with their children, the degree of self-efficacy became high. Furthermore, when their parents or themselves have a lot of interest in health, they feel that they are healthy, and they feel that they are satisfied with their bodies, the degree of self-efficacy was high too. B. The degree of health promotion behavior Although the degree of health promotion behavior of elementary school students was a bit lower than the degree of self-efficacy, it was higher than average. The degree of health promotion behavior on physical activity was the highest. But the degree of health promotion behavior on health of their own was the lowest. The degree of health promotion behavior between girl students and boy students was the same. When their parents got higher education, made a lot of money and kept harmony with their children, the degree of self-efficacy became high. Furthermore, when their parents or themselves have a lot of interest In health, they feel that they are healthy, and they feel that they are satisfied with their bodies, the degree of self-efficacy was high too. C. The relation between self-efficacy and health promotion behavior When the degree of self-efficacy was high, the degree of health promotion behavior was high too. So there was high positive relationship between self-efficacy and health promotion behavior. Physical activity showed the highest relationship. The order of strong relationship run as follows. Relationship with others, self-fulfillment, management of stress. The higher self-efficacy which was a recognizable factor on health behavior, the higher the degree of health promotion behavior. It is being revealed that many modem chronic diseases are cause by accumulated careless attitude on harmful health habit and lack of self-control. The behavior of keeping healthy and enhancing health is more firm when they have high self-efficacy which is believing their own conviction. So, When we teach elementary school students health promotion education at school, we should try to enhance their own self-efficacy rather than just instill simple information about health. By doing so, we can help them change their attitude on health. Then, they could enjoy life-long healthy life.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of high school students' disability and academic stress on the participation of integrated physical education class. The result of this study is to examine the correlation between disability, academic stress and integrated physical education. There were negative correlations between parent stress and self stress among the subvariables. There was a positive correlation with the integrated physical education commitment and all the sub variables were positive. There was a negative correlation between academic stress and integrated physical education involvement, and all sub variables were negative.We examined the differences in the general characteristics of how disability and academic stress affect active commitment in the integrated physical education class. The purpose of this study was to set up the basic model to monitor the health status of the middle and high school students in the adolescent period, as well as to provide the fundamental data which might serve as the new standards for their better health maintenance and promotion. The collected data comprised the characteristics of the subjects in the three different fields of life such as school, family and everyday, which could affect their physical fatigues, and they were analyzed to determine the factors of significant influence upon their physical fatigues and to reveal their relativity. A total of 5,954 students at 6 boys' and girls' middle and high schools in Taejon City completed self-administered questionnaires(to measure Health Practice Index and others) asking about each of three life domains during the period March through June, 2000. The key study results were as follows; 1. The middle school students showed more subjective symptoms of fatigue which may be a marker reflecting physical health status, than the high school students. The higher scores were associated, based on school life, with the groups who were boys, who were in lower school grades, who achieved better academic performances and had better relationship with friends. 2. As for family life, the higher scores were in the groups whose financial conditions were better, whose parents showed more interest to their children, whose sense of satisfaction with family life was higher, and whose health status was better. 3. As for life styles, the individuals showed the higher scores in the groups who had breakfasts daily, who didn't have inter-meal snacks, who took regular exercises, who didn't smoke and drink than, their counterparts. 4. The higher level of fatigue was associated with the groups whose health conditions were good, who are satisfied with school life, who were boys rather than girls, who are satisfied with family life, who didn't have inter-meal snacks, who were in good relationship with friends, who achieved greater academic performances, who took regular exercises, who didn't smoke, and whose parents showed more interest in their children.
