  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate the intention of early application users in consideration of the characteristics of digital finance-based MyData service users. It is expected that user characteristics will affect the intention to use MyData service, which has not yet been advanced, and accordingly, it will examine how the characteristics of the initial users of MyData service and the intention to use it are connected. Design/methodology/approach The model used in this study is a value-based adoption model (VAM), and a lot of research has been conducted on information technology and online user acceptance and continuous use intention of online users. VAM has been proven useful through empirical analysis in many studies. The value-based acceptance model is a method of analyzing the intention to use Benefits and Sacrifices as the main elements of perceived value. It can be said to be a model that can analyze the benefits of use and the sacrifices to be made. Findings According to the analysis results of this study, it was found that usefulness, enjoyment, and reliability, which are the benefits of MyData service apps, had a positive effect on perceived value, which is partially consistent with existing research results. However, it was found that complexity, which is the sacrifice of MyData service apps, negatively affects perceived value and security has no negative impact. The results of security are considered to be complementary to financial institutions because MyData service deals with financial data based on personal information, and the research hypothesis is rejected because users' demands are relatively low. Therefore, MyData service apps should do more to increase benefits (usefulness, enjoyment, and reliability) than to reduce sacrifice (complexity) to users.

  • This study explores the impact of technostress on the intention to use telemedicine applications (apps) in the post-COVID19 era, a period marked by the rapid popularization of such apps to mitigate COVID19 infection risks. Utilizing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the study identifies variables and proposes a research model. A questionnaire survey involving 364 adults is analyzed through Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling. Results indicate positive significance for variables linked to the TAM (perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude, and intention to use). Notably, techno-complexity negatively affects perceived ease of use, while techno-unreliability negatively impacts perceived usefulness and ease of use. Surprisingly, techno-uncertainty has a positive effect on both perceived usefulness and ease of use. Techno-overload, although negatively impacting perceived usefulness and ease of use, does not reach statistical significance. The study underscores the need to consider both positive and negative aspects, including technostress, when evaluating telemedicine app usage. Additionally, recognizing the varying impact of technostress based on users' ICT(Information and Communication Technology) confidence levels is crucial. Overall, these findings contribute academically to telemedicine app adoption literature and hold industrial significance by providing a user perspective on these apps.

  • This study investigated the harmonic preference of children and adolescents depending on age and musical training. A total of 684 primary and secondary school students participated in this study. For this study, a four-measure melody was composed and constructed in four levels of harmonic complexity, determined by the rate of nonharmonic notes used and immediacy of harmonic resolution. Participants rated the degree of their perceived complexity and their preferences after listening to each musical stimulus. Ratings from the participants were analyzed in terms of the effect of age and the length of musical training. The results showed that younger students demonstrated little to no change in their preference regardless of the complexity level. Middle and high school students showed significantly decreased preference with increased harmonic complexity. High school students with more musical instrument training perceived changes in harmonic complexity more sensitively and showd higher level of optimal complexity. Younger students was affected by musical training relatively less than older students. This study presents the baseline data to be considered when determining the appropriate level of harmonic complexity for music appreciation of young population.
