This study attempts to address the problem of 3D pose estimation for multiple human objects through a single image generated during the character development process that can be used in augmented reality. In the existing top-down method, all objects in the image are first detected, and then each is reconstructed independently. The problem is that inconsistent results may occur due to overlap or depth order mismatch between the reconstructed objects. The goal of this study is to solve these problems and develop a single network that provides consistent 3D reconstruction of all humans in a scene. Integrating a human body model based on the SMPL parametric system into a top-down framework became an important choice. Through this, two types of collision loss based on distance field and loss that considers depth order were introduced. The first loss prevents overlap between reconstructed people, and the second loss adjusts the depth ordering of people to render occlusion inference and annotated instance segmentation consistently. This method allows depth information to be provided to the network without explicit 3D annotation of the image. Experimental results show that this study's methodology performs better than existing methods on standard 3D pose benchmarks, and the proposed losses enable more consistent reconstruction from natural images.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate which FRC-posts were more distinguishable from core. Materials and Methods: Nine extracted single-rooted mandibular premolars with similar lengths (${\pm}0.5 mm$) and widths (${\pm}0.5 mm$) were endodontically treated and obturated. One specimen which the three roots were embedded in a cold mounting resin was made. 3 specimens were made by this method. Post spaces were prepared for the following post system: FRC $Postec^{(R)}$ Plus, MACRO-$LOCK^{TM}$ POST $ILLUSION^{TM}$$XRO^{(R)}$, $Snowpost^{(R)}$. After three different posts were placed in the roots of a specimen, each three specimens received a direct core build-up: $Luxacore^{(R)}$ Dual A3, $Luxacore^{(R)}$ Dual blue, $Filtek^{TM}$ Z350 A1E. Digital images were taken of the post and core with and without air-blowing. We asked to fifty dentists and fifty dental college students which post was more clearly discriminated from the core. Results: In surveys, when core was $Luxacore^{(R)}$ Dual blue, among three types of posts people more easily discriminated the $Snowpost^{(R)}$ from core. When core was $Luxacore^{(R)}$ Dual A3, among three types of posts people similarly more easily discriminated $Snowpost^{(R)}$ from core. When core was $Filtek^{TM}$ Z350 A1E, among three types of posts people more easily discriminated distinguished MACRO-$LOCK^{TM}$ POST $ILLUSION^{TM}$$XRO^{(R)}$ post from core. People more easily distinguished MACRO-$LOCK^{TM}$ POST $ILLUSION^{TM}$$XRO^{(R)}$ post from core when temperature was lowered by air-blowing. Conclusion: Ability to discriminate between FRC-post and core is different according to color contrast. MACRO-$LOCK^{TM}$ POST $ILLUSION^{TM}$$XRO^{(R)}$ posts are more discriminable when temperature is lowered by air-blowing.

Purpose: The aim of the study was to evaluate the subjective symptoms and clinical signs through the TMD-questionnaire, clinical examination and radiography against the many instrumental performers and to investigate the association between playing instruments and TMDs. Materials and Methods: A total of 803 instrumental performers received TMD-related questionnaire and evaluations of prevalence and disease distribution were performed. Among those who reported at least one symptom of TMD, 70 volunteers visited in clinic then received clinical examination and radiography for diagnosis and evaluations of prevalence and disease distribution were performed. 70 subjects were divided into three groups as woodwind, brass wind, string. Comparative analysis of disease distribution was performed. Results: Among 803 instrumental performers, 610 people (75.97%) were reported to one or more symptoms of TMD. The most frequent symptom was click (29.68%).70 subjects underwent a clinical examination and radiography survey results, the most frequent symptom was a click (29.75%). Most commonly diagnosed disease was a myofacial pain (30.53%).Comparison of the three groups, a significant difference was not observed in the clinical sign. But among subject symptom, muscle pains howed significant differences in accordance with the Group (P = 0.024). During the 70 people who underwent clinical examination, 66 people (94.3%) showed moderate to severe attrition, mild to severe tongue ridging, mild to severe cheek ridging assigns of parafunction. Conclusion: Instrumental performers showed a high prevalence of TMD and the most of the musicians with temporomandibular disorder had bruxism or clenching habits.
A study was made of a method of rational assessment on the roentgeno-cephalogram in orthodontic practice. Fifty eight measurements were analyzed on the roentgeno-cephalograms of 50 male and 50 female Korean adults with the acceptable profile and the normal occlusion. The means and standard deviations of measurements were studied in male and female groups by various analytic methods, and the sex difference was examined statistically. The obtained data were compared with those of the Japanese and American standards by useing a Japanese adults standard polygon chart reported by lizuka and Ishikawa. Amongs of 58 measurements, 14 have been selected as statistically significant and clinically useful, and used to make a Korean adult standard polygon chart. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Standards for cphalometric analysis in Korean adults were obtained, and the polygon chart and cephalometric profilogram were also made by using the standards in order to apply to a clinical diagnosis. 2. The sex difference was recognized in linear measurements, but not in angular measurments. 3. In comparison with the American standards from Downs and Graber, the Korean showed significant differences in angle of convexity, mandibular plane angle, Y-axis angle, interincisal angle and lower incisor to mandibular plane angle. Thus, the Korean showed a more retruded chin position, convex facial type, than white people. 4. In comparison with the Japanese standards from Iizuka and Ishikawa, the Korean showed a significant similarity with the Japanese, especially in females. 5. Upper incisor to Huxely line angle, established as a new measurement, proved to be paralell to X-Y axis angle.

The purpose of this study were to report the reasons for removal of fixed prostheses and survival rate of abutment teeth. A total 192 fixed prostheses removed at Chosun university Dental Hospital and 308 abutment were investigated. The most frequent reason of removal was periodontal problem(30.7%), followed by caries(29.7%), then periapical problem(18.8%) and defective margins(14%). In metal ceramic crown, periodontal problem was the most frequent reason of removal. In complete cast crown, caries was the most frequent reason of removal. Periapical and periodontal problem was the most frequent reason people under forties and over fifties, respectively. Of the 308 abutment teeth, vital and non-vital teeth were 135(43.8%) and 173(56.2%), respectively. Of 135 vital abutment teeth, 39(28.9%) were extracted and of 173 non-vital abutment teeth, 85(49.1%) were extracted. Each risk factor for removal of fixed prostheses and extraction of abutment should be evaluated more clearly for prediction of prognosis of final prostheses and abutment teeth.

Purpose: To determine the anatomical characteristic of C-shaped canal systems in Korean mandibular 2nd molars by cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). Materials and Methods: The 824 CBCT images were evaluated. These patients were taken CBCT for the diagnosis and treatment of dental implantation on 2013. The 711 mandibular 2nd molars were examined. The configuration of root canal systems were classified according to modified Melton's classifications. Results: Of the 711 mandibular 2nd molars, 21.5% had C-shaped canal systems. This prevalence did not differ with tooth position. Most of the C-shaped canals with bilateral molars were symmetrical. Of the C-shaped canal, the most common configuration Type were Melton's Type I (89%) in the orifice level and Melton's III (83.8%) in the apical level. The prevalence of C-shaped canal was higher in female (25%) than male (13.9%) (P < 0.05). Conclusion: A high prevalence of C-shaped canals were observed in Korean mandibular 2nd molars. For successful C-shaped root canal treatment, the comprehension of root canal systems was important.
The purpose of this study was to find the characteristics of lateral crphalogram of skeletal class III malocclusion patients to whom orthognathic surgery was essential. For this study 37 patients with skeletal class III and going to treat or be treated orthognathic surgery(age 7-17) were selected to experimental group and 56 people with normal occlusion (age 8-13) were selected to normal group and the two groups were evaluated and statistically analyzed and the results were as follows 1. In comparison of experimental group and normal group in prepubertal group, there were significant differences in ANS-U1/Me-L1, Mx. Length/Mn. Length, S-N/Go-Me, Wits, ANB, SN-Pog, IMPA, Facial Convexity, APDI (p<0.05) 2. In comparison of experimental group and normal group in pubertal group, there were significant differences in ANS-U1/Me-L1, S-Go/N-Me, Mx.Length/Mn.Length, S-N/Go-Me, Wits, Saddle Angle, SNB, ANB, SN-Pog, IMPA, Interincisal Angle, Facial Convexity, APDI (p<0.05) 3. Among items showing characteristics of skeletal class III malocclusion, there were no significant differences between prepubertal group and pubertal group in other items except Mx. Length/Mn. Length,APDI (p<0.05) 4. The significant correlationship was the highest between Saddle Angle and SNB, SN-Pog and SNB, ANB and Facial Convexity in experimental group
Degenerative joint disease(DJD) has hun known as one of the diseases which affect the middleor old-aged people. But as orthodontists are getting interested in the adult orthodontics, it is not rare for them to meet the open-bite patients with the TMJ DJD in their clinics. The purpose of this article is to investigate the cephalometric characteristics of the open-bite cases with TMJ DJD. Twelve TMJ DJD patients($15.1\~39.5$ years old) were selected from the patients who visited Department of Orthodontics, Seoul National University Hospital. Cephalograms were taken and means from 60 measurements were compared by t-test with those of the fifty four healthy adults($20.0\~26.7$ years old) who have normal occlusion and TMJ. In this study male and female are compared respectively, for in the normal samples 26 measurements showed significant differences between the male and the female. The results and conclusions axe as follows: 1 In DJD group, ANB and Angle of convexity decreased, which means the retruding of the mandible. The interincisal angle was smaller than that of the normal group. The means of the overbite were -2.1mm in male and -3.0mm in female, and the means of the overjet were 5.6mm in male and 6.7mm in female. The profile was similar to that of Angle's Class II div.1 open-bite. 2. SN-GoMe and FMA increased in DJD but SN-PP and FH-PP did not show any significant difference. In TMJ DJD open-bite cases, the bony structure lower than the palatal plane seemed to play an important role in developing open-bite. 3. In DJD group, PH-ArGo, SArGo and Y-sxis angle increased significantly, but genial angle showed no significant difference. The means of hか were 50.1mm in male and 40.2mm in female, which were significantly smaller than those of the normal(56.5mm in male, 50.9mm in female). These findings seemed to indicate the posterior rotation of mandible resulted from the shortening of the ramus height. 4. Anterior faical height(AFH), upper anterior facial height(UAFH) and lower anterior facial height (LAEH) of DJD showed no significant increase as compared with those of the noraml group. There was no significant difference in the ratio of upper anterior facial height to lower anterior facial height(UAFH/LAFH). But, lower posterior facial height(LPFH) was significantly smaller than that of the normal group. 5. It was thought that the peculiar profile of the TMJ DJD open-bite was resulted from the posterior rotation of mandible as the ramus became short following the degerative destruction of of the condylar head and neck.
This study was conducted to examine the growth change in external nose according to age which plays an important role in determining the facial profile, by analysing the biennial serial lateral cephalograms of 20 males and 20 females of mean 8.5 years old to 16.5 years old who have a normal occlusion. The results of this study were summarized as follows. $\cdot$ Both mean and standard deviation were obtained according to each item, sex and age for the male and female. $\cdot$ Nose heights of the male and female increased with increase in their age. The upper to lower nose height ratio somewhat decreased for both male and female with increase of age. The mean ratio was 3.69 : 1 for the male, respectively, and 3.83 : 1 for the female during this study.$\cdot$ The nose depth indicated the most significant increase of all items according to the increase of age, while the sagittal depth inicated higher value for the female than that of the male in the most age groups. $\cdot$ The nose inclination did not show a remarkable change during this study. $\cdot$ The proportions of growth completed at the earliest age showed the highest percentage for sagittal depth(male : $87.14\%$ & female : $91.29\%$). Also, the male indicated the lowest percentage in lower nose height $(73.04\%)$, while the female did the lowest in nose depth$(79.09\%)$. $\cdot$ There was shown the variable of the greatest correlation between the upper nose inclination and nose depth. $\cdot$ From this study, the whole external nasal growth was occurred downward and forward which was more frequent for forward growth than vertical growth.

The concept of extraction in orthodontic treatment has been changed many times. Even today, criteria of extraction or nonextraction is still changing. In this study, changes depending on the evaluator's perception of treatment outcomes were compared in both extraction and nonextraction cases. In this study, premolar extracted 59 patients and nonextracted 60 patients, totally 119 patients who finished orthodontic treatment in Dankook University Dental Hospital orthodontic clinic were enrolled. Evaluation sections made up of specialists and laypersons assessed soft tissue traced from lateral cephalometric radiographs with visual analogue scale before and after the treatment. And the results were statistically analyzed. Thus, the conclusions drawn are as follows: 1. Average score is 5.76 in extraction, which is larger than 5.28 of nonextraction case. Improvement of facial profile was more favorably accepted in extraction case. 2. 5.875 in the group of specialists were higher evaluation than 5.165 in the group of layperson. 3. Specialists gave significantly higher ratings in the extraction than nonextraction. 4. A higher rating in extraction case of the layperson group has no significant difference with nonextraction case. 5. Nonextraction patients were given higher ratings from specialist group. 6. A higher rating of specialist group in extraction case has no significant difference with layperson group.
