고등학교 발명 활동과 대학 특허교육 성취와의 관계 (The Relationship Between High School Invention Activities and College Patent Education Achievement)

  • As intellectual property has become an important competitive element in the industry, government-led patent education is rapidly expanding. It is important to look at whether each patent education course is organically linked to each other under a life-long patent education system from elementary school to college. This study focused on the link between high school education and college education to analyze statistically how invention activities in high school affect patent education achievement at college. Statistical analysis of a survey of students taking a basic course of intellectual property revealed no statistically significant correlation between invention experience in high school and college students' patent class total score, contrary to popular perception. These results are believed to be due to the distribution of data on the number of invention contest participations or the number of invention class participations, which does not form a normal distribution and has a relatively large skewness. Rather, the attendance to the patent class showed a relatively distinct positive linear correlation with the patent class total score, indicating that the student's attitude in class was important for the patent education achievement.

  • This study attempts to develop a methodology that analyzes patent applications to identify future skills, in particular in the sector of information security, recently into the spotlight. Matching skill elements from the International Patent Classification (IPC) with skill units from job analysis, the study tries to track trends in the skills needs based on IPC time-pattern. It then verifies the validity of the outlook for future skills needs by addressing the situation through the use of patents. The research assesses the usability of patent information for this type of analysis. While this study is limited to the information security sector by using Korean patent information, it can be expanded in the future to other areas and patents in the United States and Europe.

특허출원교육시스템의 사용자 수용관계에 관한 연구: 사전지식의 조절효과 중심 (A Study on User Acceptance of Patent Application Education System: Focused on the Effect of Prior Knowledge)

  • 본 연구는 특허출원교육 프로그램의 효과적인 진행을 위해 개발된 PatentNOW의 대학생들의 수용과정을 기술수용모델과 사전지식이론을 바탕으로 접근하였다. 연구결과, 첫째 지각된 사용용이성은 지각된 유용성에 긍정적 영향을 주었다. 둘째 지각된 유용성과 지각된 사용용이성은 사용태도에 긍정적 영향을 주었고 사용태도 역시 사용의도에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 셋째 PatentNOW 사용자들이 갖는 특허제도에 대한 사전지식 수준과 특허출원 경험은 지각된 사용용이성과 사용태도와의 관계에 있어 약화시키는 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 특허출원교육의 질적 향상을 위해서 교육생들의 사전지식 수준에 따른 PatentNOW의 활용 교수법이 차별적으로 개발되어야 함을 시사하고 있다.

전략적 성과 창출을 위한 캡스톤디자인 운영모델 개발 (Development Capstone Design Operation Model for Strategic Achievement)

  • Capstone design is a very important college course that enhances students' creativity and skills. However, in most universities, the operation of capstone design is operated by the experience and intuition of the advisor, and it is somewhat lacking in the generation of useful results such as patent rights and technology start-up from the capstone design result. In this study, we proposed a performance - based capstone design operation model through patent linkage so that the capstone design class can create creative and useful results. The proposed operating model includes support for research on prior art of patent information utilization, patent right of idea, and technology commercialization. The proposed operating model was directly applied to the capstone design class in the university, and it was confirmed that useful results such as expansion of the scope of the research achievement and technology start - up were created compared to the existing operation model.

특허 출원서를 활용한 공학 계열 기술적 글쓰기 수업 사례 (A Study on Technical Writing Instruction in Engineering Education Using Patent Application Form)

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a technical writing model suitable for engineering students based on the practice of technical writing using the patent application form for engineering students. The Dick & Carey model was used to design the teaching of technical writing using the patent application form. In particular, the instructor communicates with the learner and instructs the learner to produce and express students' own ideas. Instruction design in technical writing progresses consists of four steps, such as creating ideas by brainstorming, comprising contents, exercising writing, and feedback. Feedback occurs between an instructor and a learner and also does among students. As writing is proceeding step by step, instruction design for technical writing should come forth with specific methods to make students practice writing in work. Following these steps will help engineering school students to make up new products after graduating university.

  • 최근 표준으로 선정된 기술의 특허권을 보유한 사업자가 그 권리를 남용하는 특허매복행위로 인하여 특허기술 표준을 제정하고 활용하는데 있어 상당한 어려움을 발생시키고 있다. 세계 주요국은 특허매복행위 방지를 위한 법적 근거를 마련하고 있지만, 한국의 경우에는 법적 구속력이 매우 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 표준특허에 있어 특허매복행위로 인한 문제점과 정책적 해결방안을 마련하고자 다양한 제안을 시도하였다. 특히 국내외 매복특허에 관한 이슈와 사례를 조사하였는데, 법적활용이 가능한 장치와 FRAND 특허권의 남용에 관한 명확한 기준 그리고 특허매복행위 방지를 위해 특허권자에 대한 보상시스템 마련이 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

디지털시대의 창업가 육성을 위한 발명교육 프로그램 방향에 관한 탐색적 연구 - 창업아이디어 개발중심으로 - (An Exploratory Study on Component of Invention Education Program to Building an Entrepreneur in Digital Age)

  • 본 연구는 디지털시대의 창업가 육성을 목적으로 대학생들을 대상으로 한 발명창업교육 프로그램의 중요도와 필요도를 규명하고 발명교육프로그램의 타당성을 분석하고자 수행되었다. 연구는 창업과정에서 요구되는 발명교육 프로그램의 발전방향을 제안하고자 한다. 본 연구의 표본은 125명의 대학생이며, 5명의 발명창업 기업가가 참여하였다. 중요연구결과는 다음과 같다 발명창업교육의 분야는 발명개념의 이해, 발명과 경영, 발명과 창의성, 발명과 특허, 그리고 발명실습의 5 가지 영역으로 구분되었다. 대학생들의 인지한 발명교육내용의 평균값은 발명과 경영, 발명실습, 발명과 창의성, 발명개념과 발명과 특허의 순서로 나타났다. 그러나 발명사업가들에게는 발명과 특허, 발명과 경영, 창의성, 발명실습과 발명개념의 순서로 나타났다. 발명교육내용의 필요도 분석에서는 발명과 경영, 발명실습이 타 영역보다 높은 순서로 나타났다. 본 연구는 창업을 위한 발명교육내용이 발명과 경영 부분을 강화해야 하며, 특허부분에서는 학생들이 관심을 가지고 쉽게 경험을 통해 참여할 수 있는 내용전개의 필요성을 제시하고 있다.

Contents and Patent Map Analysis on the Internet Sites for Statistical Information

  • There are many statistical information sites as the use of internet is increased quickly in recent years. In this paper, we explore and analyze internet sites for statistical information such as statistical survey system, education, database, and terminology. And then we classify these sites to apply statistical information to some particular spheres easily. Also, we analyze the patent map for domestic patents of statistical information. In so doing, the result of this study aims at enhancing our understanding of internet sites for statistical information.

가치 있는 특허의 TRIZ 발명원리와 SIT 활용도 분석: 노키아 소송 특허를 중심으로 (Analysis of TRIZ and SIT Thinking Tool Utilization of Valuable Patents: Focused on the Patent Infringement Lawsuit Filed by Nokia)

  • This study aims to find the major creative ideation patterns embedded in the commercially valuable patents in the mobile communication industry. For the purpose, we analyze 171 cases of the patent infringement lawsuit filed by Nokia in the United States. It is examined that what kind of TRIZ inventive principles and SIT thinking tools were applied to resolve technical contractions in each of the 171 cases respectively. Among the 40 inventive principles of TRIZ, 'feedback' principle was used mostly and 'division' principle the next. Among the 5 thinking tools of SIT, 'attribute dependency' mostly used, and 'division' the next. This suggests that what kind of inventive principles or thinking tools should be considered preferentially to resolve technical contradictions in practically important technical problems in the mobile communication industry.

트리즈 발명원리의 산업 분야별 활용도 분석: 대한민국 발명특허대전 수상작 중심으로 (On the Use of TRIZ Inventive Principles by Industries: Focusing on the Awarded Patents at the Korea Invention Patent Exhibition)

  • TRIZ has been widely promoted as an effective methodology to solve engineering problems. Many people wonder if the methodology based on the solutions which resolved technological contradictions more than a half-century ago still works well. To answer the question, the usage of TRIZ 40 inventive principles for the awarded patents of the Korea Invention Patent Exhibition from 2011 to 2017 is analyzed. The result shows that the inventive principles can be applied to a variety of engineering problems in different industries. In addition, there are crucial inventive principles which applied frequently regardless of industry categories.
