Factors Influencing Cooperation between Nurses and Social Workers (간호사와 사회복지사의 상호 협력에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • Purpose: The study investigated the level of mutual cooperation among those engaged in public and private nursing and social welfare to understand contributing factors. Method: The subjects were 289 nurses and 279 social workers. The level of mutual cooperation between nurses and social workers was evaluated. taking into account related personal factors and organizational environmental factors. Results: The level of mutual cooperation between nursing and social welfare organizations showed the following sequence, in decreasing order; public nursing, public social welfare, private nursing and private social welfare personnel. The factors affecting nurses' cooperation with social welfare personnel were expected duties, understanding of social workers' service, service autonomy, service appropriateness, and the training environment of the organization. Factors influencing the level of cooperation of social workers with nurses included understanding of nursing service, understanding of the efficiency gained by cooperation, service appropriateness and the training environment of the organization. Conclusion: The development of training programs to increase the level of cooperation between the nursing and social welfare fields is strongly recommended.

  • This study will first take a look at the work situations depending on functions or duties taken in fashion organizations in Busan, dividing the work condition into aspects such as special traits of the work, satisfaction level on the company and satisfaction level on welfare. This study has set the following study questions to reach the goal of this research: 1. look at special traits found depending on vital statistics. 2. The satisfaction level on special traits of the work and work itself showed that the diversity of work, importance of work and work flexibility were the key elements that influenced the satisfaction level. 3. The satisfaction level on company and work itself had pride and loyalty, the only factors that influenced work satisfaction level voluntarily, and the other factors had no effect on the satisfaction level. 4. The satisfaction level on welfare and work itself showed that the welfare benefits and welfare policies had no voluntary influence on the satisfaction level on the work itself.

Effects of Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment on Nurse's Turnover Intention in the Social welfare Facilities (사회복지시설 간호사의 직무만족 및 조직몰입이 이직의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of job satisfaction and organizational commitment on the nurse's turnover intention working in the social welfare facilities. Methods: The subjects of this study were 319 nurses who were working in the 238 social welfare facilities. The data were collected by self-reporting questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression. Results: It was found that the key predictor of turnover intention was organizational commitment Organizational commitment explained 41.2% of the total variance of turnover intention. In case of sub categories of job satisfaction, organizational commitment had 37.2% prediction and then payment and supervision added 6.2% prediction. Conclusion: These results suggest that the key predict factor of nurse's turnover intention working in social welfare facilities is organizational commitment. Therefore, the findings of this study can be used to develop effective strategies to decrease nurse's turnover intention.

Effects of a Forest Therapy Program on Reducing PTSD and Depression and Improving Mood States in Fire Officers

  • Background and objective: This study was conducted to investigate the effects of forest therapy programs on reducing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression and improving mood states in fire officers. Methods: To determine PTSD, depression, and mood states before and after the forest therapy program, the survey results of 185 fire officers were analyzed. Frequency analysis was conducted to identify the demographic characteristics of the participants, and Wilcoxon signed-rank test to analyze the differences among group. Results: As a result of a comparative analysis of PTSD before and after the program, there was a significant decrease in PTSD from 10.65 ± 12.00 to 5.64 ± 8.29 after the program. Depression also showed a statistically significant difference from 3.21 ± 4.00 to 2.21 ± 3.47 after the program. As a result of comparatively analyzing mood states before and after the program, there was an increase in positive factors and a decrease in negative factors. Total mood disturbance (TMD) also showed a statistically significant decrease from 5.78 ± 17.37 to -7.38 ± 10.35 after the program. Conclusion: This study has significance in verifying that forest therapy programs can bring psychological changes to fire officers, and these results can be used as a basis for stress management and relief of fire officers.

  • The paradigm of the housing policy has been transformed from housing supply to housing welfare, from the policy of housing quantity expansion to the policy of customized housing welfare. The Housing Act was newly enacted to realize the new paradigm of the housing policy. The Act establishes the role of the Housing Welfare Centers in the housing welfare delivery system, but they have some difficulties in doing their role because of limited amount of centers and their manpower. The desirable and efficient model of housing welfare delivery system, therefore, is that the demand of housing welfare is discovered on local base, and that demanders can be provided housing welfare service connected to local governments or neighborhood housing welfare centers. To do so local communities should be established and activated, and the needs of housing welfare service also be discovered. This study is a exploratory one on communities' role in housing welfare delivery system in spite of some limitations based on existing theories and studies, and is significant as a new trial.

A Study on Welfare Satisfaction of the University Hospital Radiological Technologist (대학병원방사선사의 복지만족에 관한 연구)

  • This research is a study on the welfare satisfaction of radiological technologists in university hospital, and was conducted in order to analysis of welfare factors and improvements. The survey was conducted on radiological technologist of a university hospital in Gyeongnam from July 14th 2014 to August 14th 2014, and we analyzed 121 of the questionnaire, which was retrieved by distributing. As a result, we looked at the welfare level of satisfaction by welfare hospital factors, each of the satisfaction scores were living welfare supports($2.83{\pm}0.43$), financial supports($4.25{\pm}0.65$), housing supports($2.28{\pm}0.46$), educational supports($2.58{\pm}0.50$), health medical supports($3.02{\pm}0.56$), culture and leisure supports($2.79{\pm}0.45$), other welfare supports($2.70{\pm}0.48$) points. The level of satisfaction with the hospital welfare support factors of average score level it was analyzed. It is important that is providing effective hospital welfare through survey for hospital welfare needs and benchmarking of welfare system of general corporate.

Welfare Activation Strategy for a Urban Park Users (도시공원 이용자들을 위한 공원복지 활성화전략 -부산도시공원 이용자를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the improvement plan for the welfare in the park through the empirical test on the park facilities, which are the hardware, and the service contents, which are the software, in the urban parks of Busan. Therefore, to identify the welfare of the parks in Busan, this study took 7 urban parks as samples according to the plate method of experts, and conducted the questionnaire survey from 1,500 persons using these parks. The IPA analysis results on the importance and the satisfaction of the users on the form of use, facilities and the contents of the park are as follows. First, the convenient facilities, which are the hardware of the park, are represented as a intensive management item. Second, the importance and the satisfaction for all the facilities and the contents of each park are significant differences. according to the location of each park and the characteristics of each principal park users. Such results mean that the Busan urban park operation does not satisfy the expectation of the park users for the welfare facilities in the parks. Therefore, it implies that to activate the urban parks and to improve the quality of life than the present, the aceessibility of the local residents to the information should be reinforced through the development of contents to reflect the region and the desires of the users and through building and managing the homepage of the urban parks.

A study using spatial regression models on the determinants of the welfare expenditure in the local governments in Korea (공간회귀분석을 통한 지방자치단체 복지지출의 영향요인에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse the determinants of the change in the welfare expenditure of local governments in 2015. This study analyzed the spatial correlation of welfare expenditure among neighboring local governments and determined the factors affecting the welfare expenditures. According to the results of the study, spatial correlation of welfare expenditure among local governments appears. Determinants, such as socio-economic factors, administrative factors, public financial factors are affecting the amount of the welfare expenditures, but local political factors, and local tax, last year's budgets are not correlated with the amount of local welfare expenditures. In this study, it is significant to found out that the spatial correlation of welfare expenditure among the local governments and to examine the determinants. If possible, it is necessary to analyze the time-series analysis using the multi-year welfare expenditure data, expecially self-welfare expenditures.

Developing an Interdisciplinary Program for the Aged Living Welfare in College of Home Economics (생활과학대학 중심의 노인생활복지 연계전공 프로그램 개발)

  • The purpose of this article was to develop an interdisciplinary program for the aged living welfare in College of Home Economics. This program was developed through the analysis of gerontology curriculum in Korea, Japan, and America, and survey research with social workers who were working in the welfare institutes for the elderly in Korea. Moreover, an interdisciplinary program for the aged living welfare was designed based on the professional role of elderly care and the scope of educational context which were identified. Particular note was that this program could be most effectively implemented in the College of Home Economics. Recommendations for the development and implementation of the program were highlighted.

Opinions on 'Dagagu' Housing Purchase and Public Rental Housing Program by Public Officials and Professionals in the Area of Welfare (다가구주택 매입임대사업에 대한 공무원 및 전문가 의견 조사)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the opinions on 'Dagagu' Housing Purchase and Public Rental Program by public officials and professionals in the area of social or housing welfare to suggest ideas for improvement of this program. Data were collected from 146 public officials and 108 professionals in the area of social or housing welfare. Respondents showed that the perception on this program was not high, especially respondents working in Seoul showed lower perception than respondents in other localities in spite of experience of pilot program executed in Seoul. Respondents also thought that this program will take an realistic role to improve housing welfare for urban poor. Other opinions to practice this program were also suggested.
