연속 살균기의 온도제어 및 최적설계에 관한 연구 (Study on Temperature Control and Optimal Design for Continuous Sterilizer)

  • 본 논문에서는 배치식 살균기의 문제점을 분석하여 연속 살균기를 모델링하고 설계하였으며 온도편차를 제어하였다. 살균기의 노즐 직경, 홀 직경, 노즐 길이 등의 설계 파라미터를 이용하여 온도를 해석하였다. 살균기의 온도편차에 중요한 노즐 직경, 제트박스의 직경, 노즐의 홀 피치 등의 설계 파라미터를 반응표면분석법에 의하여 최적화하였다. 그리고 본 연구에서 제안한 설계 파라미터를 이용하여 살균기의 실험장치를 개발하여 온라인으로 테스트를 실시하였다. 온라인 테스트 결과 목표온도까지 상승하는데 약 7.3 min 소요되었고 온도편차는 약 $0.84^{\circ}C$로 양호하였으며 해석적으로 최적화를 실시한 결과와 동일한 최적조건을 도출하였다.

부산 해안지역의 고농도 오존 발생 특성에 관한 연구 (Characteristics of Surface High Ozone Concentration on Pusan Coastal area, Korea)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the characteristics of surface ozone concentration and occurrence of high ozone concentration using hourly ozone, nitrogen dioxide and meteorological data for 1997~1998 in Pusan coastal area. Monthly mean ozone concentration was the highest at Dongsamdong in Spring(35.4ppb), at Kwangbokdong in Fall(25.1ppb) and the lowest Dongsamdong(22.2ppb) and Kwangbokdong(16.0ppb) in Winter. Relative standard deviation indicating clearness of observation site was 0.42 at Dongsamdong and 0.49 at Kwangbokdong that is similar to urban area. The diurnal variation of ozone concentration of Dongsamdong and Kwangbokdong showed maximum at 1500~1600LST and minimum 0700~0800LST that typical pattern of ozone concentration. In ozone episode period(Sept. 10~15, 1998), diurnal change of ozone concentration was very high, and ozone concentration was related to meteorological parameters such as temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, cloud amount and radiation on a horizontal surface. During the episode days peak ozone concentrations are much higher than the normal values, wind speeds are always lower, and solar radiation is high with the exception of the September episode.

  • Frequency is an important operating parameter of a power system. Electric power systems sustain transient frequency swings whenever the balance between generation and load does not no longer hold. To cope with this Constraints, il requires an accurate and high speedy frequency deviation estimation technique and suitable adjustment to obtain the power system energy balance. This paper describes the design, computational aspects and implementation of an iterative technique for measuring power system. The rate change of the phase angle is used for estimation. To confirm the validity of the proposed algorithm, the simulation studies carried out on a typical 154[KV] double T/L system by using EMTP software. Some test results are presented in the paper.

  • This paper proposes a method to consider an aging failure probability and survival probability of power system components unlike uses only aging failure probability in existing mean life calculation. The estimates of the mean and its standard deviation is calculated by using Weibull distribution and each estimated parameters is obtained from Data Analytic Method (Type II Censoring). The parameter estimation using Data Analytic Method is simpler and faster than a traditional calculation method. This paper shows how to calculate the mean life and its standard deviation by the proposed method and illustrates a exactness using real historical records of generator utilities in korea.

  • In the control of the robotic manipulators, the variable structure control method for the get Point Regualation has a advantage of the insensitivity about parameter variations and disturbances. When the robotic manipulators are controlled by a point-to-point scheme, no path constraint is considered. Thus, the variable structure control method will be effectively applied only if the trajectory of the robot hand is estimated precisely. In this paper, the joint trajectories in the joint space and the hand trajectory in the cartesian space are calculated by the variable structure control method, and an algorithm is suggested to elaborate the deviation error of the robot hand from a straight line path. The result of this study will become a base of the effective path planning about robotic manipulators with the variable structure control concept.

FLUORESCENCE QUENCHING OF BBOT BY ANILINE IN DIFFERENT ORGANIC SOLVENTS

  • The fluorescence quenching of 2, 5-di-(5-tert-butyl-2-benzoxazolyl)-thiophene (BBOT) by aniline in five different solvents namely heptane, hexane, cyclohexane, dioxane and acetonitrile has been carried out at room temperature with a view to understand the quenching mechanisms. The experimental results show positive deviation in the Stern-Volmer plots in all the solvents. In order to interpret these results we have invoked the Ground state complex and sphere of action static quenching models. Using these models various rate parameters have been determined. The magnitudes of these parameters suggest that sphere of action static quenching model agrees well with the experimental results. Hence this positive deviation is attributed to the static and dynamic quenching. Further, with the use of Finite Sink approximation model, it was possible to check these bimolecular reactions as diffusion-limited and to estimate independently distance parameter R$^1$ and mutual diffusion coefficient D. Finally an attempt has been made to correlate the values of R$^1$ and D with the values of the encounter distance R and the mutual diffusion coefficient D determined using the Edward's empirical relation and Stokes-Einstein relation.

Signal-to-Noise Ratio Formulas of a Scalar Gaussian Quantizer Mismatched to a Laplacian Source

  • The paper derives formulas for the mean-squared error distortion and resulting signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio of a fixed-rate scalar quantizer designed optimally in the minimum mean-squared error sense for a Gaussian density with the standard deviation ${\sigma}_q$ when it is mismatched to a Laplacian density with the standard deviation ${\sigma}_q$. The SNR formulas, based on the key parameter and Bennett's integral, are found accurate for a wide range of $p\({\equiv}\frac{\sigma_p}{\sigma_q}\){\geqq}0.25$. Also an upper bound to the SNR is derived, which becomes tighter with increasing rate R and indicates that the SNR behaves asymptotically as $\frac{20\sqrt{3{\ln}2}}{{\rho}{\ln}10}\;{\sqrt{R}}$ dB.

FIR 필터를 이용한 전력계통의 주파수 추정기법 (Estimation Technique of Frequency using FIR Filter in the Power System)

  • Frequency is an important operating parameter of a power system. Electric power systems sustain transient frequency swings whenever the balance between generation and load does not no longer hold. To cope with this constraints, it requires an accurate and high speedy frequency deviation estimation technique and suitable adjustment to obtain the Power system energy balance. This paper describes a digital signal processing technique for measuring the operating frequency of a power system. The fundamental frequency component of 3-phase signal is first extracted by using an algorithm based on FIR filter. The rate change of the phase angle is used for estimation. To confirm the validity of the proposed algorithm, the simulation studies carried out on a typical 154KV double T/L system by using EMTP software. Some test results are presented in the paper.
