  • In the earlier papers we analyzed the axisymmetric, nonstationary electrodynamics of the central black hole and a surrounding thin accretion disk in an active galactic nucleus. Based on those papers we analyze the axisymmetric, nonstationary force-free black hole magnetosphere and the motion of the plasma. We concentrate on deriving the totally new equations for the entropy incrrease and the angular momentum, energy extraction of the black hole.

  • In the earlier papers we analyzed the axisymmetric, nonstationary electrodynamics of the central black hole and a surrounding thin accretion disk in an active galactic nucleus. Based on those papers we analyze the axisymmetric, nonstationary black hole magnetosphere in this paper. We concentrate on deriving the ‘Grad-Shafranov equations’; both in the force-free and non-force-free cases. In the time-independent limit our equations naturally coincide with stationary equations as they should.

  • The problem of the collapse of a self gravitating disk is here considered. We show self-similar solutions for the above problem under a modified viscous parameter. Surface density depends on r$^m$ in the inner region, where m is -1.6. Therefore growing central mass goes on without mass inflow to the system.

  • I briefly review what has been learned from determinations of mean stellar ages and abundances from integrated light studies of early-type galaxies, and discuss some new questions posed by recent data. A short discussion of spectroscopic ages is presented, but the main focus of this review is on the abundances of Fe, Mg, Ca, N, and C, obtained from comparisons of measurements taken in integrated spectra of galaxies with predictions from stellar population synthesis models.

  • An increasing number of observations have confirmed the presence of multiple stellar populations in Galactic globular clusters. Multiple populations evidence come from the complex chemical pattern of stars hosted in GCs and from the split or broadening of different evolutionary sequences in the color-magnitude diagrams. Multiple stellar populations have been identified in Galactic and Magellanic Cloud clusters, as well as in external galaxies. In this paper I will summarize the observational facts.

  • We present a high resolution spectrum of PU Vul observed at Bohyunsan Optical Astronomy Observatory (BOAO) on April 9, 2004. Permitted emission and nebular lines of PU Vul had been significantly changed compared to all spectra observed since its eruption in 1979. Therefore all new lines should be re-identified and were done so. We do-convoluted a $H{\beta}$ line into several emission components with Gaussian functions. Then we carefully discussed the geometrical feature of PU Vul in April 2004.

  • On the framework of a linearly perturbed Friedmann-Robertson-Walker spacetime, we derive an expression for the cosmological angular diameter distance affected by scalar and tensor perturbations. Our expression is applicable in linear order to distances in general FRW models. We study the effect of a stocastic gravitaional wave background on the two-point correlation function of the angular diameter distance fluctuations and, on the basis of this we also derive an expression for the power spectrum of the angular diameter distance fluctuations.

  • Our examination of the relations of spherically symmetric accretion on a massive point object to viscous drag, neglecting gas pressure and using self-similar transformation, shows the behaviors of the asymptotic solutions? in the regions near to and far from the center. The viscosity reduces the free-fall velocity by the factor $(1\;+\;\zeta) ^{-1}$, and causes flattening in the density distribution. Therefore, the viscosity leads to the reduction of the mass accretion rate.

Based on those papers we analyze the axisymmetric, nonstationary force-free black hole magnetosphere and the motion of the plasma. We concentrate on deriving the relations between the velocity components of the plasma and those of the accreting magnetic field lines. We conclude that the former are given by the sum of the latter and the magnetic field terms.

  • A plane-parallel model of the diffuse Galactic light (DGL) is calculated assuming exponential disks of interstellar dust and OB stars, by solving exactly the radiative transfer equation using an iterative method. We perform a radiative transfer calculation for a model with generally accepted scale heights of stellar and dust distribution and compare the results with those of van de Hulst & de Jong for a constant slab model. We also find that the intensity extrapolated to zero dust optical depth has a negative value, against to the usual expectation.
