The Relationship between Ethics Management and Organizational Trust, Organizational Identification and OCB of Public Sports Organizations (공공체육단체의 윤리경영과 조직신뢰, 조직동일시 및 조직시민행동의 관계: 경인·강원지역 단체를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to empirically reveal the causal relationship between ethics management, organizational trust, organizational identification, and organizational citizenship behavior perceived by members of public sports organizations. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on the employees of Korea sports promotion foundation, the city and county sports association, and the federation of sports associations in Kyoung-In and Kangwon area. The results were as follows : First, ethics management has been found to influence organizational trust. Second, ethics management has been found to influence organization identification. Third, organizational trust has been found to influence organizational identification. Fourth, organizational trust has been found to influence organizational citizenship behavior. Fifth, organizational identification has been found to influence organizational citizenship behavior. This study confirmed that the ethical management activities of public sports organizations were positively influencing the various pro-social behaviors of the members who voluntarily perform outside of their jobs for the development of organization by trusting and identifying the organization.

How can Authentic Leadership Affect Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Job Performance?: The Role of Organizational Climate as a Mediator (진성리더십이 조직시민행동 및 직무성과에 미치는 영향: 조직분위기 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study analyzes the effect of authentic leadership on organizational climate, organizational citizenship behavior, and job performance to suggest the implications behind the growing importance of authentic leadership. In particular, this study substantiates existing arguments that organizational climate moderates the tension between leaders and employees by investigating the mediating effects of organizational climate on the relationship between authentic leadership and job performance. A survey was conducted on employees of various business areas in Korea, and 444 responses were used in statistical analysis which was performed using SPSS/WIN 24.0 and STATA 14.0 statistics package and verified using structural equations. The analysis results showed that 1) authentic leadership has positive effects on organizational climate, organizational citizenship behavior, job performance; 2) organizational climate has positive effects on organizational citizenship behavior and job performance; 3) organizational citizenship behavior has a positive effect on job performance; and 4) organizational climate performs a mediating role in the relationships among authentic leadership, organizational citizenship behavior, and job performance. By including organization climate's mediating effect as a factor in the research on authentic leadership, this study presents a new perspective for future studies on leadership.

Relationships between Superior Trust and Organizational Citizenship Behavior: The Mediating Role of Organizational Trust in Small-Medium Sized Manufacturing Enterprises (중소제조기업근로자의 상사에 대한 신뢰와 조직시민행동관계에서 조직신뢰의 매개적 역할에 관한 연구)

  • This research examines the causal relationships between supervisor trust and organizational citizenship behavior(OCB) and the mediating role of organizational trust on OCB. Using the sample of 282 small and medium sized enterprises' employees, this study analyzes three alternative hypotheses centered around supervisor trust, organizational trust, and OCB. The results show that supervisor trust has a strong positive effect on OCB. Second, organizational trust is positively related to OCB. Third, this research proves that partial mediating effects of organizational trust exist between supervisor trust(relational trust) and OCB(civic virtue, sportsmanship). Finally, this research proves that a full mediating effect of organizational trust exists between supervisor trust(calculative trust) and OCB(sportsmanship). This study recommends supervisor trust, organizational trust be valued in order to increase OCB vital for organizational effectiveness or productivity in small-medium sized manufacturing enterprises.

The Effect of a University Hospital Nurse's Trust in Supervisor, Organizational Trust and Perception on the Shared Value on Innovative Behavior (일개 대학병원 간호사의 상사신뢰, 조직신뢰와 공유가치 인식도가 혁신행동에 미치는 영향)

  • The research was to investigate the effect of trust in supervisor, organizational trust and perception on the shared value on innovative behavior. The data were collected from 334 nurses from University hospital of G city. Data were analyzed with frequency, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient and hierarchical regression, equipped with SPSS 21.0. The results showed that there was correlation among trust in supervisor, organizational trust and perception, and innovative behavior. Therefore, it is considered that the study is the basis to improve innovative behavior of nurses by providing alternatives for achieving trust in supervisor, organizational trust and perception, for sake of efficient management of human resource of nurse of University hospital. Effects of Authentic Leadership and Perceived Organizational Support on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (진성리더십 및 조직지원 인식이 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigates the effects of authentic leadership and organizational supports on the organizational citizens behavior of public welfare facility employee. Structural equation model with four latent variables were constructed to test the hypothetical relationships between variables. Out of 230 people from welfare facilities in Yong-in City were sampled and 216 were answered the questionnaire. Results suggests that authentic leadership and organizational support perceptions were shown to have a positive(+) significant effects on the job engagement and organizational citizenship behavior. Authentic leadership and perceived organizational support are effected as a direct positive effect on job engagement, and the influence of perceived organizational support was recognized as greater fact than the authentic leadership. Variable 'job engagement' took a intermediating role between two independent variables and organizational citizenship behavior. Based on the hypothesis test results we might conclude that welfare facility employee whose task require emotional engagement need to be supported by systematic plan of material resources.

The Effect of Organizational Culture Types on Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Small and Medium Hospitals (중소병원의 조직문화가 조직몰입과 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향)

  • To propose the way for improving organizational management of small and medium hospitals through analyzing the effect of organizational culture types on organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. A survey was held to the employees of 4 hospitals that could accomodate less than 100 patients located in Daegu and Gyeongbuk for 4 weeks starting November 20, 2012. As result of factor analysis, the organizational culture divided to the four types: adventurous, hierarchical, productive, friendly types. The adventurous and friendly types revealed the positive effect on organizational commitment, and the productive and friendly types revealed it on organizational citizenship behavior. Instead, hierarchical type revealed no effects on the both. Therefore, to improve organizational management in small and medium hospitals, the strengthened efforts to build up friendship and supportive environments for reasonable decision making.

A Study on the Effects of Organizational Citizenship Behaviour on Employee Engagement and the Intention to quit (조직시민행동이 종업원 인게이지먼트 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study explores the effect that unresearched organizational conduct has on employee engagement (job immersion) as a cause variable and the results from it. Major results identified in an empirical analysis are as follows. First, the main causes of organizational citizenship behavior (such as altruism, conscientious behavior, moral behavior, participatory behavior, and fair play) are shown to not affect job immersion. In other words, conscientious, participatory, and fair behavior affects job immersion, with participatory behavior having the greatest impact. Second, employees' concentration in an organization was only affected by participatory behavior and fair play behavior from among the factors of organizational citizenship behavior, only more so. That is, it has been shown that some of the causes of organizational citizenship behavior, including participatory behavior and fair play behavior, affect employee inter-behavior, and some of them are more influential than others. Third, the only factor that influences the intention to switch jobs among the organizational citizenship behavior is participatory behavior. In other words, altruism, conscientiousness, politeness, and fair play behavior do not affect the way people move from job to job. Participation in organizational citizenship behavior and fair play may affect employee inter-behavior, and the more influential participatory behavior may also affect the intention to relocate.

Study for Professionalism, Organizational Citizenship Behavior, Psychological Ownership of Nurse Officers (간호장교의 전문직업성과 조직시민행동, 심리적 주인의식에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate differences in professionalism, organizational citizenship behavior and psychological ownership between nurses and nurse officers. Method: A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 1017 hospital nurses and military nurse officers. The instruments used were the Korean Version of Hall's Professionalism Inventory' modified by Baek (2007), Organizational Citizenship Behavior Qquestionnaire(OCBQ) modified by Lee (2006), and the Psychological Ownership Inventory' developed by Van Dyne and Pierce (2004). Results: The average score for military nurse officers professionalism was 3.15, for organizational citizenship behavior, was 3.43 and for psychological ownership, 3.64. These scores were higher than the scores for hospital nurses. There were significant positive correlations between the variables(r=.47~.581, p<.001). Conclusion: The results of this study indicate an affirmable outcome and that the significant variables affected levels of Professionalism, Organizational citizenship behavior, and Psychological ownership. So in order to improve the level of variables, there is a need to consider strategies related to organization, work environment and conceptualization as related to the variables.

The Influences of Workplace Spirituality and Emotional Intelligence on the Organizational Citizenship Behavior for Clinical Nurses (임상간호사의 일터영성과 감성지능이 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives : This study was done to identify the influences of workplace spirituality and emotional intelligence on the organizational citizenship behavior of clinical nurses. Methods : The subjects were 230 clinical nurses, working over 6 months in four general hospitals in three cities. Data were obtained from March 20 to March 30, 2016, with a self-report questionnaire, and analyzed using the IBM SPSS 21.0 program. Results : The factors related to the organizational citizenship behavior of nurses were workplace spirituality(${\beta}$=.36), emotional intelligence(${\beta}$=.29), 40 years of age or higher(${\beta}$=.26), working in a special ward(${\beta}$=.11), and turnover intention(${\beta}$=.10). These variables explained 61.6% of the variance in organizational citizenship behavior of nurses. Conclusions : In order to improve the quality of nursing services and business performance in hospital organizations, it is necessary to enhance workplace spirituality and emotional intelligence. This would lead to promoting organizational citizenship behavior through the development and application of intervention programs from a nursing organization perspective.

Mediation and Moderation Effects of Organizational Citizenship Behavior between Nursing Performance and Turnover Intention (간호업무수행과 이직의도 간의 관계에서 조직시민행동의 조절 및 매개효과 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating and moderating effects of organizational citizenship behavior on the relationship between nursing performance and turnover intention. Data were collected from 439 nurses in 3 tertiary hospitals and 2 secondary hospitals and analyzed by PASW 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. The findings were as follows. The correlation coefficients of the study variables were all statistically significant. The organizational citizenship behavior showed mediating effects between the nursing performance and turnover intention. On the other hand, organizational citizenship behavior did not have moderating effects. Various strategies that are purposed to enhancing organizational citizenship behavior among nurses should be developed to reduce turnover intention of nurse who have high nursing performance.
