Design of A High-Speed SRAM using Current-Mode Technique (전류모드 기술을 이용한 고속동작 SRAM 설계)

  • This paper presents an SRAM which uses the technique to equalize the internal cell node by adding an NMOS transistor. Accordingly, the write driver operates rapidly in a differential current of bit lines, and the operation speed of SRAM improves. An SRAM was implemented with a memory cell, a sense amplifier and a write driver. The SRAM obtained the performance of 18% power reduction and improvement of 56% operation speed. And Power delay product was reduced with 63%. The proposed SRAM was designed based on a 0.35um 1P4M CMOS technology.

FPGA implementation using a CLAHE contrast enhancement technique in the termal equipment for real time processing

  • In this paper, we propose an approach for real time computation of rayleigh CLAHE using a FPGA. The contrast enhancement technique should be applied in thermal equipment having a low contrast image. And thermal equipment must be processed in real time. The CLAHE is an improved algorithm based Histogram Equalization, but the HW design is complex. A value greater than a given threshold in CLAHE should be equally distributed on the other histogram bin, this process requires iterations for the distribution. But implementation of this processing in the FPGA is constrained, so this section was implemented on the assumption of the histogram distribution or modified the operation process or implemented separately in the CPU. In this paper, we designed a distinct redistribution operation in two stages. So FPGA was designed for easy, this was designed to be distributed evenly without the assumptions and constraints. In addition, we have designed a CLAHE with the rayleigh distribution to the FPGA. The simulation shows that the proposed method provides a better image quality in the thermal image.

  • A Study of Improvement in Reactor Thermal Power Measurement Method using Kalman Filter. The objectives of the safety analysis of nuclear power plants are to maintain the surface temperature of fuel and fuel cladding within limit value in case of Loss of Coolant accident (LOCA) so that it ensures the safety and reliability of nuclear power plants. The new technique evaluating the reactor power and improvement of existing plant system increase the safety margin of nuclear power plant operation, and accordingly, economic effect will be anticipated. Hereby, 1 would like to introduce reactor power measurement method using Kalman filter that enables to calculate the reactor power more precisely combining the parameters, for example, turbine output as the 1 st stage pressure of high pressure turbine, and reactor power using energy equilibrium relation. It is expected that the new technique will enhance the accuracy of measurement of reactor power and maintain the reliability of nuclear power operation by increasing operational safety margin, and gain the economic benefit

  • A high speed address recovery technique for AC plasma display panel(PDP) is proposed. Replacing GND switch by clamping diode. the recovery speed can be increased by saving GND hold-time and switching loss due to GND switch also becomes also be reduced. The proposed method is able to perform load-adaptive operation by controlling the voltage level of energy recovery capacitor, which prevents increasing inefficient power consumption caused by circuit loss during recovery operation. Test results with 50' HD single-scan PDP(resolution = 1366$\times$768) show that less than 3sons of recovery time is successfully accomplished and about$54\%$ of the maximum power consumption can be reduced, tracing minimum power consumption curves.

  • We are interaction refrigeration warehouse cold water pump system and photovoltaic generation system. At this time, a target pressure is able to control in spite of change of the pressure according to pump head and rate of flow of pump. Also, we carry out the vector control of BLDC moor with the maximum torque operation and a high reliability from territory of each operation speed. Therefore, in this paper, we conclude energy saving technique of refrigeration warehouse cold water pump system.

  • Conventional pwm switching power supply have the disadvantage some aspects of size, light weight, noise and system stability. High frequency Series Resonant Converter (SRC), described in this paper, almost improve above disadvantages. We use the state plane technique as analysis method. This technique is powerful tool which can clearly analyze the peak stress of the state variables inside the converter, Here, we can define each operation mode from frequency ratio Fsn, switching frequency to resonant frequency, and we analyze the output performance in each operation mode. To verify the theoretical analysis, we compose the actual converter, and the experimental results are compared with analysis.

  • The harmonics caused b th nonlinear operation of transmission equipments are not identified yet and have been seldom studied. Sources of harmonics in nonlinear circuit, especially caused by the nonlinear operation of transmission equipments, can be approximately modeled with Duffing's Equation which is often referred in nonlinear mechanical oscillation problem. In this study, a new analytic technique is proposed for the analysis of harmonics n nonlinear circuits using Duffing's Equation and compared with some conventional methods. Finally some case studies were performed to evaluate the performance of proposed method and conventional methods.

  • In this paper, the operation of current-fed quasi-Z-source inverter (QZSI) with buck-boost function, improved reliability, and regeneration capability is analyzed. The modified space modulation technique for controlling effectively both shoot-through time and zero voltage time is suggested. The simulation result is carried out in order to verify the performance of proposed technique.

It is necessary to analyze the video data to determine what kind of behavior it is. In this study, we propose a scene change detection technique through histogram operation, paying attention to the change of the histogram due to a sudden movement.

Analysis of Nuclear Power Plant Load Follow Operation by Temperature Reduction Method (냉각재 온도 감소 장식에 의한 원자력발전소 부하 추종 운전 해석)

  • The inlet coolant temperature reduction technique has been used to extend the load follow operation further in the end-of-cycle-life(EOL). In order to simulate the technique and calculate the nuclear characteristics of a PWR core according to the load follow operation, the three dimensional computing system has been established. The analysis was performed in both MINB and SPINR modes of typical 12-3-6-3 locad follow operation for the EOL of KNU-1 plant. Moreover, the capability of return-to-power has been also tested for those two modes with the system analysis by the RETRAN-02 code. The results show that it has no difficulty to extend the load follow operation further in the EOL by applying the inlet coolant temprature reduction, and also the spinning reserve capacity(SRC) increases by 13% in MINB mode and 14% in SPINR mode Bore that used by control rods only, for 14$^{\circ}$ F drop in the inlet temperature.
