  • The purpose of this study is to propose an effective informatization policy by categorizing consumer groups according to the level of digital divide and identifying the characteristics of each type. For this end, a total of 402 data were collected through an online and on-site surveys targeting consumers with internet experience, and the data were analyzed using the SPSS 26.0 program. As a result of conducting a K-means cluster analysis based on access to, capability, and utilization of digital devices, four consumer groups were categorized: 'device lover', 'proficient user', 'general user', and 'digital alienated'. By consumer type, significant differences were found in demographic characteristics, social capital, perception of the future information society, attitude toward technology as innovativeness, discomfort and familiarity, which are the antecedent variables of the digital divide. Significant differences in digital device satisfaction and intention to use, which are outcome variables of the digital divide, were also confirmed by consumer type. This study is academically and practically valuable in that it proposes customized informatization policies for each consumer group according to the level of digitization.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the conditions for improving space use and satisfaction by examing the behavior, focusing on the senior center, one of the leisure welfare facilities for the older adults. An online survey was conducted on 300 older adults aged 65 years old (104 males, 196 females) who had experience using senior centers. The results are as follows. First, the frequency of use per older adults was 1-3 times a month the most, and the preferred frequency of use was 1-3 times a week. The results showed that they wanted to use the Senior center frequently, but they could not use it often. Considering the high preference for health promotion activity programs in senior centers, it is understood that the use of space programs for health promotion can be increased if provided. Second, as the usage time per route ranges from a minimum of 1 hour to a maximum of 5 hours, it is considered that satisfaction and usability can be improved if a space to support various personal activities is provided. Third, it is considered to be helpful to improve the program or space composition that can strengthen friendship or improve accessibility by appearing as difficulties in friendship and accessibility for the reasons not used per senior citizen.

We applied social cognitive theory and technology acceptance model in order to reflect the convergence characteristics between medical service and digital technology of telemedicine. Based on these theoretical backgrounds, we investigated perception toward telemedicine and determinants of intention to accept telemedicine. To examine the research model and hypothesis, an online survey was conducted for college students who have not used telemedicine from September 8 to 10, 2021. A total of 184 data were collected, and multiple regression analysis was conducted using the SPSS 28.0 program. The results showed that health technology self-efficacy, usefulness and convenience benefits, social norm, and trust in telemedicine providers had positive effects on intention to accept telemedicine. This study is meaningful in that it selected undergraduate students, who are digital natives, as new targets for telemedicine, and presented the basic direction of strategies to target them.
