A study on the thermal deformation characteristics of steel plates due to multi-line heating

  • This paper is mainly concerned with developing the formulae of predicting thermal deformation of steel plate due to multi-line heating. By investigating the results of line heating test and numerical analysis, reasonable heat flux model has been defined. Formulae of predicting the transverse shrinkage and the angular distortion as the dominant thermal deformation types in plate forming by line heating have been derived based on the results of line heating test and numerical analysis with varying plate thickness, heating speed and distance between torches. This paper illustrates how the derived formulae are used in investigating the effect of multi-line heating upon the thermal deformation and how they can be used in defining the limit distance with that there is no interacted effect between torches. This paper ends with describing the extension of the present study.

직물의 구조와 감각특성에 따른 온라인과 오프라인에서의 주관적 태평가 비교 (The Comparison of Subjective Evaluation of Band between On-line and Off-line by Structure and Sensibilities of Fabric)

  • This research was designed to compare the subjective evaluation of Hand between on- and off-line by structure and sensible characteristics of fabric. 113 subjects who have a fashion design major evaluated the subjective evaluation of Hand of various 16 kinds of specimens on- and off-line. T-test and pearson correlation coefficient were used for statistical analysis by SPSS WIN 11.0. The results of this study were as follows: The results of correlation analysis of the evaluation score indicated that Crash and Satin show high correlation between two kinds of evaluation score. But, fabrics which have distinct characteristics such as Plush, Dobby, Seersucker represented low correlation coefficient. The results of t-test fer the difference of the evaluation score showed that thin fabrics like Organdy represent a large difference between on- and off-line evaluation. On the other hand, twill weaved fabrics like Drill, Tweed, Saxony did not show many differences. Analysing each item in terms of correlation of evaluation of hand between on- and off-line gave results that the shininess was most deliverable through on-line and density and the dryness was not so deliverable through on-line. Comparison of evaluation score between on- and off-line items showed that the estimation to real fabric is more negative than that of on-line. The results of most preferable hand between on-and off-line showed exact opposite preference between shinny, smooth and soft Satin and rough, woolen Tweed. Organdy showed the most different subjective evaluation of hand in real ones compared with that of on-line.

  • Korean High Speed Train (KHST) has been tested on high speed line in JungBu site since it was developed in 2002. The data acquisition system was used to test successfully the on-line test for proving the dynamic performance of KHST. The recognition of system vibration mode for railway vehicle is essential to understand the characteristics of design for dynamic system and diagnose the dynamic problems of vehicle system during test and operation. But, up to now, there are the efforts to know the system vibration mode within limit of theoretical field only, not experimental approach with systematic method. The theoretical results are too reliable to apply to real design problem, because it is theoretically based on the homogeneous linear system although the real system have the nonlinear characteristics and vary the environmental conditions. Therefor, in this paper, it is proposed the efficient method of vibration analysis for rail vehicle system and this method apply to KHST to recognize the vibration mode characteristics of it. The results show that this method is able to make the system vibration modes for KHST clear.

  • Korean High Speed Train(KHST) has been tested on the high speed test line in Osung site, since it was developed through the G7 Project Plan in 2002. It was also tested on the conventional line such as KyongBu and Honan Line to know the possibility of increasing the limited speed for the high speed trains. This paper introduces the method to improve the speed on the conventional line with body lateral acceleration among the several considered issues and explains the parameters related to those analysis, such as the cant deficiency, the radius of curve, speed and etc. When a train pass on the curved track, the lateral accelerations of body are divided into the quasi-static and the maximum accelerations according to the UIC 518 which is the international specification for testing and approval of railway vehicles from the point of view of their dynamic behaviour, especially for safety and ride comfort. This paper shows that it is safe and comfort from the results of test when KHST runs on the conventional line with the curves and proposes that the limited speed of conventional curved line could be changed to a little higher speed if the analysises of other fields are completed.

시운전 시험을 통한 한국형 고속전철에 대한 승차감의 분석 (Analysis of Ride Comfort for Korean High Speed Train through On-line Test)

  • Recently, the ride comfort problem becomes increasingly important because of today's needs for train speedup. The concept of ride comfort is equivocal. Generally, it is defined as the body vibration. The prototype of Korean high speed train (KHST), composed of two power cars, two motorized cars and three trailer cars, has been designed, fabricated and tested by the domestic researchers. In this paper, the ride comfort has been reviewed by the experimental method. The on-line test of KHST has been carried out up to 260km/h in the KTX line and proved that KHST has no problems from the viewpoint of the comfort ride at this speed. And the ride index lot KHST has been predicted at 300km/h and 350km/h by fitting curve.

  • It has been issued that the necessity of Live line work for 765kV vertical double circuit six bundle conductors transmission line when the characteristics of transmission line, the composition of T/L and near the T/L circumstances etc. Others are considered. The Barehand method of UHV T/L is extremely dangerous work and especially it is directly related with lineman life so it is very dangerous. It should be performed several technology developments for live-line work on the UHV T/L, that should be considered such as the electrical influence on workers near the T/L, development of live-line facilities, guarantee of safety, the technical rules of live-line work, the safe method of live-line work and etc. In order to maintain the 765kV transmission lines safely by barehand work, first of all, we should know the analysis of electrical safety level test in live-line work at 765kV vertical double circuit six bundle conductors on the suspension string tower type.

실증시험선로를 이용한 도체귀로형 HVDC ±500 kV Double Bipole 가공송전선로의 이온류 특성 평가 (Ion Effects of HVDC ±500 kV Double Bipole Overhead Transmission Line with Metallic Return Conductor Using Full-scale Test Line)

  • 국내에 향후 건설 예정인 도체귀로형 HVDC ±500 kV Double Bipole 가공송전선로의 최적선로 형상을 설계하고 송전선로에서 발생되는 전기환경장해를 검증하기 위해 실증시험장을 구축하여 1년간 전기환경장해 평가시험을 수행하였다. 또한, HVDC Double Bipole 실선로에서 인체의 지표면 전계인지도 평가시험을 통해 HVDC 실규모 실증선로 직하에서 인체가 직류 전계를 감지하는 임계값을 조사하여 HVDC ±500 kV Double Bipole 가공송전선로의 직류전계 설계기준안의 타당성을 검증하였다. HVDC ±500 kV Double Bipole 시험선로의 극형상은 전기환경장해와 운영관점에서 동일한 극성을 대각으로 배치하였으며, 국내 가공송전선로의 전기환경장해의 사회적인 수용성을 고려하여 선로에서 코로나방전이 거의 발생되지 않도록 소도체 방식은 6 도체를 선정하였다. 도체귀로형 HVDC ±500 kV Double Bipole 가공송전선로 방식인 Cardinal×6B를 적용한 실증시험결과, 선로 도체에서 코로나 방전이 거의 발생되지 않았으며, 따라서 지표면 전계와 이온전류밀도는 모두 국내 가공송전선로 설계 기준값을 만족하였다. 또한 선로직하에서 피조사자들에 대한 전계 인지도 평가결과, 피조사자들의 70%는 23 kV/m에 노출되어도 직류전계를 인지하지 못하는 결과를 나타냈다.

사각고리형상의 AuSn 합금박막을 이용한 MEMS 밀봉 패키징 및 특성 시험 (On-Chip Process and Characterization of the Hermetic MEMS Packaging Using a Closed AuSn Solder-Loop)

  • This paper presents a hermetic MEMS on-chip package bonded by a closed-loop AuSn solder-line. We design three different package specimens, including a substrate heated specimen without interconnection-line (SHX), a substrate heated specimen with interconnection-line (SHI) and a locally heated specimen with interconnection-line (LHI). Pressurized helium leak test has been carried out for hermetic seal evaluation in addition to the critical pressure test for bonding strength measurement. Substrate heating method (SHX, SHI) requires the bonding time of 40min. at 400min, while local heating method (LHI) requires 4 min. at the heating power of 6.76W. In the hermetic seal test. SHX, SHI and LHI show the leak rates of 5.4$\pm$6.7${\times}$$^{-10}$ mbar-l/s, 13.5$\pm$9.8${\times}$$^{-10}$ mbar-l/s and 18.5$\pm$9.9${\times}$$^{-10}$ mbar-l/s, respectively, for an identical package chamber volume of 6.89$\pm$0.2${\times}$$^{-10}$. In the critical pressure test, no fracture is found in the bonded specimens up to the applied pressure of 1$\pm$0.1MPa, resulting in the minimum bonding strength of 3.53$\pm$0.07MPa. We find that the present on-chip packaging using a closed AuSn solder-line shows strong potential for hermetic MEMS packaging with interconnection-line due to the hermetic seal performance and the shorter bonding time for mass production.

도시철도 본선 토공구간에서의 포장궤도 시험부설 (Test Construction of the Paved Track at Subway Main Line)

  • Recently, the development of the paved track is required as a low-maintenance of conventional line. The main reason is that the line capacity and bearing of track are increased progressively. The important factors of paved track are stability and applicability. To be based on this subject, cement mortar pouring type paved track is developed. The paved track is a kind of concrete track using the prepacked concrete technique. The most important thing to design the paved track is to optimize the track structure and materials considering various conditions. Until now, the paved track is verified a various material and structure test. In this paper, it is introduce to the test construction at the urban subway main line. The test construction is completed at Dec. 2007. A major object and substance is a guarantee of construction progress on main line, track performance, construction technique for curved section, transition zone and winter season, recycling the used ballast and application of specific sleeper for sharp curved section.

가스절연송전선로(GIL) PQ시험 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Method of Performance Qualification Test for GIL)

  • As the expension of metropolis and increasing of housing site, GIL(Gas Insulated Line) comes to the fore as an alternative to overhead transmission line avoided by local resident. The certification and experimental test for the GIL is now in progress in under ground test lab, Go-chang. For the test, we propose a method of PQ(pre-qualification) test which is essential for development and field application in this paper. The test following this method take about 200 days or 300 days under the circumstances.
