Effectiveness of information conveyance in reading is affected by several factors such as line length, letter size, line spacing arrangement as well as typeface itself. This study examined relative importance of these factors by asking people to read the texts that was constituted with non-square form letter and rank the preference of texts through conjoint analysis. In the case of reading time, justification was the most important factor, followed by leading, line spacing, letter width, line length, font size, font type in their order of importance. And in the case of preference decision, letter width was the most important factor, followed by font size, justification, line spacing, leading, line length, font type. The result will be useful in understanding how to consider human preference in the hangul typography.

This study was to identify the dimensions of consumers' attitudes toward imported casual brands. Another objectives were to examine consumers' attitude according to the preference group, and to ascertain the imported casual brand images. The 55 Likert type questions were selected through the results of self-questionnaire analyses. 520 females aged between 20 to 29 in Pusan responded to the second questionnaire of consumers' attitudes and brand images toward imported casual brands. The results were as follows: 1. For final factor analysis, 56 selected from 85 questions were subjected to the principal component analyses with orthogonal rotation after extraction of 5 major factors. 2. Five dimensions are brand's uniqueness and good quality, high prestige, incongruity with native emotion and ethnocentrism, conspicuous consumption, and reasonable purchasing advantages. These factors explained 45.0% of total variance. 3. Five dimensions were different according to the degree of preference. For preference group, they purchased the imported casual brands by uniqueness, good quality and reasonable purchasing advantages. For non-preference group, they disliked the imported brands by incongruity with native emotion, ethnocentrism, and conspicuous consumption. 4. Preference group had 5.47, whereas non-preference group had 1.76 pieces of imported casual brands for this 2 years. This result suggests that to develop the domestic brands with international uniqueness, good quality, and high prestige, and to improve according to preference group are necessary.
A female preference is a potentially complex function relating variation in multiple male traits with her probability of accepting the most optimal individuals as a mate. If mate preference is dominantly driven by additive fitness benefits, different females tend to be congruent in the decision of choice, whereas females will not necessarily share their mate preferences if non-additive benefits more strongly operate. Here, a sequential blocked design ($4{\times}4$) was applied to experimentally assess the relative contribution of additive and non-additive components to the female mate preference with Korean rosy bitterling, Rhodeus uyekii. In a total of 48 single stimulus presentations, behavioral elements of courtship activities were analyzed to derive the 'index of female preference'. Females showed a clear preference for males with more elaborate carotenoid colors, but mated randomly with respect to male body size and other color patterns. However, they were not individually consistent in their choice of mates, suggesting that non-additive components probably contribute to the evolution of female preference.

In social commerce, consumers can buy products at much cheaper price if the required minimum number of buyers are made. Social commerce has showed rapid growth as an innovative distribution system receiving highlights, however it is true that it hasn't been sufficiently studied. The purpose of the study for presents the direction of growth of the fashion industry with social commerce through qualitative studies. This study is to make a preference group of four people and a non-preference group of four people of social commerce users for the fashion items sold social commerce market and lastly proposes some improvements. The 'preference group' showed high familiarity and preference to social commerce; and they had the tendency of the pursuit of convenience and voluptuous shopping. The revisit of 'non-preference group' preferred open market and, had the tendency of economical shopping and, they are favorable to other categories of social commerce. The reasons of preference were that accessibility was good in fashion products purchasing behaviors in social commerce and, it was convenient and, price was good and new information on cheap and good products were provided; the reasons of non-preference were that the quality of the products and genuineness of articles are doubtful or, the price is not the lowest or, the carried over products were majority. In the perspective of the fashion products in social commerce they answered that it would be brighter but improvements are needed such as supplying exact information, the lowest price, diversified products and the subdivision of category.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the career awareness, the preference for science and stereotypic image of the scientist between the gifted students and non-gifted students in elementary school. For this study, 52 gifted students and 80 non-gifted students were participated. The results were as follows: First, the career awareness of gifted students was significantly higher than that of non-gifted students. Second, the preference for science of gifted students was significantly higher in all sub-domains than non-gifted students. There was a significant interaction effect between group and gender in the scientific interest and the intention of solving problems. Third, analyzing stereotypic image test for scientist between the gifted students and non-gifted students, it proved that non-gifted students had more stereotypic image comparing with the gifted students. Forth, carrying out the correlation analysis on the career awareness and the preference for science, the career awareness and the stereotypic image of the scientist, it proved that there were significant correlations with each other. It revealed that the career awareness affected the preference for science significantly through multiple regression analysis.

This study comparatively analyzed the images and preference of lighting space using the emotion-based technique in order to effectively use it in clothing shops and fashion marketing. In terms of color temperature for light sources, 2,800K of lamp color, 6,500K of daylight color and 4,200K of white color were used. For the assessment, sensory evaluation technique was used. Then, the study found the followings: In terms of the image of lighting space by light source, different images were observed by light source with significant difference by the evaluation category. For factor analysis by the evaluation category, 7 factors were extracted. Among them, evaluation on lighting space was influenced by the following three images: modern space, elegant space and classical space. In particular, the modern space comprised of the following adjectives had the biggest effect on the assessment of the image of lighting space ('refreshing,' 'transparent,' 'bluish,' 'bright' and 'non-classical') (primary evaluation 30.13%). According to assessment on the preference of lighting space, the respondents' most favorite lighting space was 4,200K while their least favorable one was 6,500K in terms of color temperature. In terms of preference by the image of lighting space, they didn't like 'non-elegant' and 'non-beige' images even though they had the images of modern space. Therefore, it was confirmed that beige and elegant space images have an effect on the preference of lighting space.

The hand characteristics of bast blended fabrics are studied by a subective evaluation method. To offer basic data for development of better hand of bast fiber fabrics customer's hand preference surveys are executed as well. IN this study 51 varieties of linen or ramie blended fabrics of various blending ratio density and thickness and Hansan ramie Chinese ramie and a Shingosen fabics of various blending ratio density and thickness and Hansan ramie Chinese ramie and a Shingosen farbic and used. To evaluate the hand of the fabrics subjectively nine ranks' semantic differential scale questions of 26 items are developed with adjective pairs. A seven ranks' scale is also developed to evaluate hand preferences in blouse and jacket cloths, Through subjective evaluation of bast blended fabrics the 26 items could be classified into seven kinds of hand classification : surface characteristics extensibility/drapability felling of heaviness stiffness resilience moisture property and feeling of density. The cumulative variance value explained by these seven factors is 67.18% According to the results of fabrics' preference by age groups no significant differences are found in blouse cloths but a few significant differences are found among different age groups in jacket clothes. However experts and non-experts show considerable differences on preference It can be concluded that fabrics' preference I more dependent on professionality than on age. In the survey experts. However more drapery cloths are preferred by experts and cloths with drier touch are preferred by non-experts. Experts prefer rougher less even less winding heavier and sparser fabrics but non-experts prefer rougher lighter thinner and stiffer fabrics as jacket cloths.
This study investigated the store switching behavior of fashion stores targeting college students. A random sample of college students completed a questionnaire that contained measurements of store property, relationship quality, switching intent of store, preference of on/offline store, purchase of brand/non-brand product and monthly clothing expenses. The factors extracted as switching behavior of on/offline fashion store are store property, relationship quality and switching intent of store. Dimensions of store switching behavior in online shopping mall is revealed to be composed of diversity/ easy to search, store reliability, home page layout, sales promotion, reliability, commitment and switching intent of store. Also those of offline store is revealed to be composed of store comfort/salespeople service, product diversity, store location, product price, reliability, commitment and switching intent of store. The significant differences were found between store switching behavior of college students by preference of on/offline store and purchase of national brand/non brand. It is expected that this results can be used as a basic material for further study and setting up the fashion retailing strategies in fashion store for selling non brand products.
This study was carried out to find out differences about meal conditions and food preference between non-obese and obese elementary school children. Ten children(non-obese 5 and obese 5) from each of the nationwide 192 schools were surveyed by self-developed questionnaire. Total of 1,767 questionnaires(815 from non-obese and 952 from obese children) were collected and data were analyzed using SPSS 12.0 program. The results of the comparative analysis were summarized as follows. There was not significantly different in height between non-obese $group(151.0{\pm}12.5cm)$ and obese $group(151.2{\pm}12.3cm)$. But BMI was significant difference between non-obese $group(18.0{\pm}2.2cm)$ and obese $group(27.3{\pm}3.2cm)$. Economical status was not significantly different between 2 groups. But educational level of parents and mother’ job were significant differences between 2 groups. Only 2/3 of the subjects reported to have breakfast at regular basas, regularity of having breakfast was not significantly different between 2 groups. Also regularity of having lunch during vacation was not significantly different between 2 groups. But Reasons of skipping breakfast and lunch were significantly different between 2 groups. Regularity of having dinner, reasons of skipping dinner, intake amount in dinner, and frequency of having snacks were significantly different between 2 groups. But the time required for lunch and dinner were under 20 minutes of 60-80% of the subjects, and were not significantly different between 2 groups. Non-obese group have liked fast foods, fruits & juices, sweets, and cakes & cookies than obese group. Obese group have liked meat & meat products and ramyeon, but they have not eaten those foods frequently because of anxiety about being more fatty. These findings suggested that nutrition education programs include different strategy according to obesity and obese prevention program is needed for non-obese school children.

User requirements for access and authentication increase daily because of the diversification of the Internet of Things (IoT) and social structures. The increase in authentication needs requires the generation of new passwords. Users want to utilize the same passwords for memorization convenience. However, system administrators request each user to use different passwords, as well as passwords that include special symbols. Differnet passwords and including special symbols passwords seem to exceed the tolerance range within your memorization skills. It fetches a very negative consequences in terms of password management. This paper proposes a preference symbol password system that does not require memorization by users. First, a survey is conducted to prove statistical safety, and based on this, an evolution-type password system that uses preference symbols is designed. Preference symbol passwords show superiority with respect to installation cost and convenience, compared with conventional non-memorizing password systems such as biometrics, keystrokes, and mouse patterns.
