Effect of the Fashion Therapy for the Psychiatric Patients(Part I) (정신장애자를 대상으로 한 의상치료 효과(제1보))

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect on self-esteem and emotion of an improved self-appearance image among the female psychiatric patients, and the therapeutic effect of fashion therapy. The treatment intervention was provided for 37 psychiatric patients and the data of 17 participants was analyzed. The results were as follows: 1. The actual self-appearance image improved overall and all factors. Their expectation for the‘attractive’image was heightened. Their self-esteem was improved and negative emotions were reduced overall and depression. 2. The changes of the actual self-appearance had a positive correlation with self-esteem. and a negative correlation with negative emotion overall, especially anxiety, depression. Improvement of ‘attractive’image had the most correlation. 3. The changes of the ideal self-appearance image didn't have the correlation with self-esteem, but negative correlation with emotions overall and anxiety, depression and hostility. 4. The change in the incongruity of their ideal and actual self-appearance image overall had a negative correlation with the change of self-esteem and positive correlation with negative emotion, especially depression and hostility.

Moderating effect of hope between fear of negative evaluation and self-esteem among workers (직장인들의 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움과 자아존중감 사이에서 희망의 조절효과)

  • This study was conducted with the purpose of examining the moderating effect of hope between fear of negative evaluation and self-esteem of workers. For this purpose, a total of 34 workplaces located in Seoul, Daejeon, and Chungcheong were selected and surveyed, and a total of 301 copies of the collected questionnaires were analyzed excluding unfaithful responses. The collected data were subjected to correlation analysis, and regression analysis of moderating effect. The research results are as follows. First, fear of negative evaluation did not show a significant correlation with other variables. However, there was a significant positive correlation between the remaining variables. Second, as a result of regression analysis of moderating effect, the moderating effect of agency thinking of hope was identified between fear of negative evaluation and self-esteem. However, the moderating effect of the pathway thinking of hope has not been identified. Finally, based on this study, we discussed ways to increase the self-esteem that was lowered due to the fear of negative evaluation, and specifically suggested program development and policies using hope.

  • This paper reviewed the relationship between superior leadership and job stress responses, and the moderating effect of age in maintenance area of air force. Based on the responses from 450 air force maintenance persons, the results of multiple regression analysis showed that transactional leadership has negative relationship with physiological stress response, charisma has negative relationship with psychological stress, and individual consideration has negative relationship with behavioral stress. In moderating effects, age has negative effect on the relationship between transactional leadership and physiological stress response, and age has positive effect on the relationship between charisma and psychological stress response.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to estimate environmental preference of advanced countries for water and air pollution. In doing so, we introduce home production. That is, we assume that pollution has not only negative effect on utility but also positive effect on production. Thus if the former is greater that the latter effect, the total effect of pollution is negative. In this paper, we investigated this effect of advanced countries by using GMM estimator. The main finding is that in case of air pollution. This effect is negative. This implies that in case of air pollution, the disutility effect is greater that productivity effect.

Mediating Effect of Maladaptive Cognitive Emotion Regulation Strategies and Negative Affect on the Relationship between Perceived Stress and Smartphone Addiction (지각된 스트레스와 스마트폰 중독의 관계에서 부적응적 인지적 정서조절전략과 부적 정서의 매개효과)

  • Current study was conducted to examine the mediating effect of maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies and negative affect on the relationship between perceived stress and smartphone addiction of adults and to explore suggestions for counseling adults with smartphone addiction symptoms. Three hundred adults(146 males, 154 females) were administered perceived stress scale, maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy scale, negative affect scale, and smartphone addiction scale. The main results are summarized as follows: First, perceived stress had positive influence on smartphone addiction. Second, negative affect showed mediating effect on the relationship between perceived stress and smartphone addiction. Third, maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies did not show mediating effect on the relationship between perceived stress and smartphone addiction. Forth, maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies and negative affect showed double mediating effect on the relationship between perceived stress and smartphone addiction. Based on the above results, it was suggested to include stress management and relief of negative affect through modification of maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies in the treatment program for adults at high risk of smartphone addiction.

The Study on the Relationship between Perceived Service Employee Support and Customer Silence in Failure Situation (서비스 실패상황에서 서비스종업원지원인식과 고객침묵의 관계에 관한 연구)

  • This study examines the effects of perceived service employee support on customer's negative silence, defensive silence and acquiescent silence, and the effects of such negative silence on relationship retention intention. Through this, we would like to discuss the negative effects of customer's negative silence and suggest strategies to reduce negative silence. This study employed questionnaire survey. The total number of questionnaires used in the final analysis was 220. A structural equation model was used for hypothesis analysis. As a result, the perceived service employee support has a significant negative effect on the defensive silence and acquiescent silence in the failure situation. In addition, acquiescent silence had a significant negative effect on relationship retention intentions and defensive silence had no significant effect on relationship retention intentions. Acquiescent silence had a higher negative effect on relationship maintenance intention than defensive silence, indicating that acquiescent silence was worse than defensive silence.

Reexamination of Effect of Perceived Risk on Purchasing Intention (위험이 구매의도에 미치는 영향의 재조명 : 전자상거래 이용자 집단의 혁신성을 중심으로)

  • There are so many studies on perceived risk and purchasing intention. But the results of those studies were inconsistent; some studies showed the positive effect of perceived risk on purchasing intention; others showed the negative effect. This research supposed that the inconsistence of studies resulted from the difference of group innovativeness and set up research hypotheses : among users from the lower innovativeness group, perceived risk has a negative effect on purchasing intention, but from the higher group, perceived risk has a positive effect on purchasing intention. We compared Internet shopping mall users of South Korea representing low innovativeness with those of China representing high innovativeness. The results provided that among South Korean users, perceived risk had the statistically insignificant negative effect on purchasing intention, but among Chinese users, it had the statistically significant positive effect on purchasing intention. Additionally, this study found that perceived risk influenced users' fun which in turn influenced purchasing intention.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate two components of commitment(affective commitment and calculative commitment) and relational equity on loyalty. In addition, The authors analyzed the moderating effect of length of relationship on the effects of commitments and relational equity on switching intention. Major findings can be summarized as follows. It was found that affective commitment made a negative impact on switching intentions and a positive impact on w-o-m. Calculative commitment had no effect on switching intention and w-o-m while it made a negative effect on w-o-m in handset side only. Relational equity appears to bolster a negative effect on switching intention and a positive effect on w-o-m. Also length of relationship seems to moderate the effect of relational equity on switching intention.

The Effect of Organizational Justice on Turnover Intention of Clinical Nurses: The Mediating Effect of Organizational Silence and Moderated Mediating Effect of Manager's Negative Feedback Rejection Inclination (조직공정성이 임상간호사의 이직의도에 미치는 영향: 조직침묵의 매개효과, 상사의 부정적 피드백거부성향의 조절된 매개효과)

  • This convergent study aimed to verify the mediating effect of organizational silence and manager's inclination to reject negative feedback in the relationship between organizational justice and turnover intention of Clinical Nurses. Participants were 250 nurses working at general hospitals with 300 hospital beds or more. Examination of the mediating effect of organizational silence showed a mediating effect of acquiescent silence when procedural justice affected turnover intention. Additionally, when interactional justice affected turnover intention, prosocial and acquiescent silence mediated it. Examining the moderated mediating effect of manager's inclination to reject negative feedback showed moderated mediation effect when procedural justice mediated the acquiescent silence and affected the turnover intention. Interactional justice had a moderated mediating effect when the mediation between prosocial and acquiescent silence affected turnover intention. Therefore, it is necessary to efficiently regulate the manager's inclination to reject negative feedback when organizational justice affects organizational silence and turnover intention.

Influence of Negative Emotion on the Suicidal Ideation in University Student: Mediated Moderating Effect of Explosive Behavior through Gender (대학생의 부정적 정서가 자살생각에 미치는 영향: 성별을 통한 폭발적 행동의 매개된 조절효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the mediated moderating effect of explosive behavior through gender between negative emotion and suicidal ideation. It was conducted to measure depression, anxiety, explosive behavior and suicidal ideation from 644(322 male, 322 female) university students. The mediated moderating effect was analyzed through hierarchical regression analysis and path analysis. And the results of simple slope test were presented graphically. As a result of analysis, first, there were positive relationship among negative emotion, explosive behavior and suicidal ideation. Second, gender had significant moderating effect within the relationship of negative emotion and suicidal ideation. Third, explosive behavior had significant mediating effect within the relationship of negative emotion and suicidal ideation. Forth, gender had significant moderating effect within the relationship of explosive behavior and suicidal ideation. Implications of these results were explored in relation to the importance of negative emotion and explosive behavior that could be taken to improve suicidal ideation according to gender. In addition, this implication and suggestions for future research are provided.
