C형 간염바이러스(HCV)의 NS5B RNA Replicase에 의해 활성이 유도되는 Hammerhead 리보자임에 의한 HCV 복제 억제 연구 (Inhibition of Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Replication by Hammerhead Ribozyme Which Activity Can Be Allosterically Regulated by HCV NS5B RNA Replicase)

  • C형 간염바이러스(hepatitis C virus; HCV) 증식을 효과적이며 특이적으로 제어할 수 있는 유전산물로서, HCV 증식조절인자인 NS5B RNA replicase 존재에 의해 allosteric하게 활성이 유도될 수 있는 HCV internal ribosome entry site (IRES) 표적 hammerhead 리보자임을 개발하였다. 이러한 리보자임은 HCV IRES 염기서열 중 +382 nucleotide 자리를 인지하는 hammerhead 리보자임, NS5B RNA replicase와 특이적으로 결합하는 RNA aptamer 부위, 그리고 aptamer와 NS5B와의 결합에 의해 리보자임 활성을 유도할 수 있도록 구조적 변이를 전달할 수 있는 communication module 부위 등으로 구성되어 있다. 이러한 allosteric 리보자임에 의해 세포 배양에서 HCV의 replicon 복제가 효과적으로 억제됨을 실시간 PCR 분석을 통하여 관찰하였다. 특히, HCV 지놈을 표적하는 리보자임 단독, 또는 HCV NS5B에 대한 RNA aptamer 단독에 의한 HCV 복제 억제능보다 allosteric 리보자임에 의한 HCV 복제 억제능이 더 뛰어났다. 따라서 개발된 allosteric 리보자임은 HCV 증식의 효과적인 증식 억제 선도물질로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Surimi 및 전분 첨가에 따른 고등어S(comber japonicus) 소시지의 품질 특성 (Effects of Surimi and Starch on the Quality Properties of Mackerel Scomber japonicus Sausage)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the qualities of mackerel Scomber japonicus sausage prepared with Theragra chalcogramma surimi (TS, A grade), Nemipterus virgatus surimi (NS, A grade) (0, 5, 7, 10%), and 7% NS with starch (0, 1, 2, 3%). The whiteness of the mackerel sausage was significantly increased by adding TS and NS, but that of the NS with starch groups was decreased compared with the control. The hardness increased significantly with the addition of TS, whereas the NS and NS with starch groups showed no considerable differences compared with the control. The gel strength was not significantly different among the mackerel sausage additive groups. In the sensory evaluation, the mackerel sausages containing 5% TS, 7% NS, and 7% NS with 2% starch had the highest overall preference. In conclusion, these results suggest that 5% TS, 7% NS, and 7% NS with 2% starch improve the quality, texture and sensory properties of mackerel sausage.

NS-3를 사용한 이동 애드혹 네트워크용 라우팅 프로토콜 성능 비교 (A Performance Comparison of Routing Protocols for Mobile Ad hoc Networks using the NS-3)

  • 본 논문에서는 이동 애드혹 네트워크에서 사용하는 네 가지 라우팅 프로토콜들을 NS-3 네트워크 시뮬레이터를 사용하여 성능비교를 수행하였다. 성능비교에 사용한 라우팅 프로토콜은 proactive 기법을 사용하는 DSDV(destination-sequenced distance vector)와 OLSR(optimized link state routing)기법과 reactive 기법을 사용하는 AODV(ad-hoc on-demand distance vector)와 DSR(dynamic source routing) 라우팅 프로토콜이다. 성능평가 척도는 시스템처리량과 패킷 전달 비율을 사용하였으며, 주어진 정사각형 모양의 통신영역 내에서 가변 개수의 통신노드들이 상호 독립적으로 이동할 경우 네 가지 라우팅 프로토콜의 성능을 평가하여 상호 비교하였다. 성능평가 결과에 따르면 AODV 라우팅 프로토콜의 성능이 전반적으로 우수함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 비저항은 3∼60hm-cm이고 두께는 350∼400μm인 다결정 실리콘을 사용하여 n+-P/P+태양 전지를 제작하였다. 이 전지에 대한 소수 반송자의 수명은 Nd:YAG laser로 측정되었으며 100∼150ns 이었다. 전지의 변환 효율은 AM 1에서 4%로 측정 되었다.

  • Sintering behavior of nanostructured(NS) W-Cu powders prepared by mechanical alloying (MA) was investigated as a function of sintering temperature. MA NS W-2owt%Cu and W-3owt%Cu composite powders with the crystal size of 20-30 nm were annealed at 90$0^{\circ}C$, and thermal characteristics of those powders were investigated by DSC. Sintering behavior of MA NS W-Cu composite powders was investigated during the solid-state sintering and the Cu-liquid phase sintering. The new nanosintering phenonenon of MA W-Cu powders at solid-state sintering temperature was suggested to explain the W-grain growth in the inside of MA powders. The sintering densification of MA NS W-Cu powders was enhanced at Cu melting temperature by arrangement of MA powders, i.e., the first rearrangement of MA powders was occurred, and then the rearrangement of W-grains in the sintered parts was also took place during liquid-phase sintering, i.e., the second rearrangement was happened. Due to the double rearrangement process of MA NS W-Cu powders, the high sintered density with more than 96%o was obtained and the fine and high homogeneous state of W and Cu phases was achieved by sintering at 1200 $^{\circ}C$.

간호·간병통합서비스를 위한 국내 공공병원 병동부에 대한 건축 계획적 연구 - 국내 지역거점 지방의료원을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Architectural Planning for Integrated Nursing Care Service in Ward of Public Hospital - Focused on the Regional Public Hospital in Korea -)

  • The study is to identify the status of the ward of public hospital for integrated nursing care service. Integrated nursing service has expanded nationwide from 2016 but 10 out of 34 public hospitals are currently unable to operate as nurses due to the shortage. Analyze each floor plan and space program of ward and provide the basic data for the construction of the architecture plans for Integrated nursing care service. For this study, selecting 14 wards of public hospital in Korea and then analyzes space organization, distance from NS to bedroom and NS to core(Elevator) and spatial hierarchy of them. Among the 14 public hospitals, there are 7 types of double-loaded corridor, 4 types of double corridor and 3 types of single corridor. If NS is placed centrally, the control of the outsider and the patient's control would be efficient, but most of NS are lean on one side of floor. the placement of NS should be independent of individual arrangements, but it should be smooth alignment with patient spaces, staff spaces, and public spaces. This study could serve as basic research for the architectural plan for future integrated nursing care in ward of public hospital.

  • 이상의 연구 결과로 미루어 볼 때, 참식나무 기주 참나무겨우살이(TY-NS-B)는 $GSK3{\beta}$에 의한 ${\beta}$-catenin 인산화에 의존하지 않는 ${\beta}$-catenin의 분해 유도를 통해 암세포의 생육과 관련된 c-Myc의 발현을 억제하며, 이것은 비소세포성 폐암의 생육억제와 관련이 있는 것으로 판단된다. 또한, 본 결과는 항암을 위한 대체보완소재로 참식나무 기주 참나무겨우살이의 활용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 그러나 추가적 연구를 통해 참식나무 기주 참나무겨우살이가 어떻게 ${\beta}$-catenin의 분해 유도에 관여하는지에 대한 기전연구와 관련 활성물질의 분석연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

A Research on Methods for English Native-Speakers' Teaching in Korean EFL Classes

  • This research conducted between March and December of 2005 has focused on analyzing a diverse range of educational services provided by English native-speaking instructors teaching in Korea. This study includes quantitative research findings from 238 university students. This dual-semester research study focuses on our most recent Korean EFL (English as a Foreign Language) programs provided for university students who wish to improve their English ability. Many students hope to partake in lectures taught by Native English Speaking teachers (hereafter NS teachers), and many universities are also willing to open additional courses for these students. However, in order for lectures to be most effective, NS instructors need to be appropriately trained or qualified teachers in order to successfully educate their students. Furthermore, NS teachers need to constantly review their teaching styles and strategies to allow for professional development and to ensure an improvement in their teaching methodology. Overall, this research provides whole English lecture views of NS teachers that is data-driven regarding designing, implementing, evaluating, and reforming the education of English taught by NS teachers working in Korea.

Nephrotic syndrome: what's new, what's hot?

  • While the incidence of nephrotic syndrome (NS) is decreasing in Korea, the morbidity of difficult-to-treat NS is significant. Efforts to minimize treatment toxicity showed that prolonged treatment after an initial treatment for 2-3 months with glucocorticosteroids was not effective in reducing frequent relapses. For steroid-dependent NS, rituximab, a monoclonal antibody against the CD20 antigen on B cells, was proven to be as effective, and short-term daily low-dose steroids during upper respiratory infections reduced relapses. Steroid resistance or congenital NS are indications for genetic study and renal biopsy, since the list of genes involved in NS is lengthening.

SF6 가스 중 직류 고전압 하에서 부분방전 특성 (Characteristics of Partial Discharge Under HVDC in SF6 Gas)

  • This paper dealt with the measurement and analysis of partial discharge (PD) under high voltage direct current (HVDC) in SF6 gas. Electrode systems such as a protrusion on conductor (POC), a protrusion on enclosure (POE), a crack on epoxy plate and a free particle (FP) were fabricated to simulate the insulation defects. The analysis system was designed with a Time-Frequency (T-F) map algorithm programed based on LabVIEW. This can arrange the acquired PD pulses into frequency and time domain. A HVDC power source is composed of a transformer (220 V/50 kV), a diode (100 kV) and a capacitor (50 kV, 0.5 ${\mu}F$). The gap between the electrodes is 3 mm, and the $SF_6$ gas was set at 5 bar. PD pulses were detected by a 50 ${\Omega}$ non-inductive resistor. In the analysis, PD pulses were distributed below 0.5 MHz and 20 ns ~ 35 ns for the POC, 0.7 MHz ~ 1.7 MHz, below 0.6 MHz and 10 ns ~ 40 ns and 60 ns ~125 ns for the POE, below 0.1 MHz and 135 ns ~ 215 ns for the crack, and below 1.6 MHz and 250 ns for the FP.
