Fabrication of Switch Module for ATM Exchange System using MCM Technology (멀티칩 기술을 이용한 ATM 교환기용 Switch 모듈 제작)

  • We fabricated switch module of ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) exchange system with MCM-C(MultiChip Module Co-fired) technology and measured its electrical characteristics. Green tape was used as substrate and Au/Ag paste was used to form the interconnect layers. The via holes were made by drill and filled with metal paste usign screen method. After manufacturing the substrate, chips and passive components were assembled on the substrate. In electrical test, the module showed the output signal of 46.9MHz synchronized with input signal. In the view of substrate size reduction, the area of MCM switch module was 35% of conventional hybrid switch module.

  • In this paper, we introduce the multi-derivations on rings and present some examples of such derivations. Then, we unify the system of functional equations defining a multi-derivation to a single formula. Applying a fixed point theorem, we will establish the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of multi-derivations in Banach module whose upper bounds are controlled by a general function. Moreover, we give some important applications of this result to obtain the known stability outcomes.

  • Multi-wire busbar-type bifacial n-type Si solar cells have been used for the fabrication of monofacial and bifacial photovoltaic (PV) module, where bifacial module was equipped with transparent backsheet while monofacial module was prepared using white backsheet. The comparison of six-day accumulated power production obtained from outdoor test under gray cement ground conditions using 60cell monofacial and bifacial PV modules suggested the bifacial gain of over 20% could be achieved. Furthermore, the outdoor evaluation tests of bifacial modules with different ground conditions such as cement (reference), green paint, white paint and green artificial grass, were performed. It turned out white paint showed the best albedo and thus the highest power production, while green paint and artificial grass showed less power generation than cement ground.

  • By decreasing in CPU price and development of computer assembling technology, personal computer fake a good chance to accelerate its supply. Recently, as being introduced new computing technology so called multi media, teaming assist system which is based on single media such as studying book, cassette tape, video tape, or something else is rapidly being replaced by new assist education system based on multi media in which it is operated by the personal computer. In the computer assist education system, there is an evaluation module which appraise learner's study level into the next study strategy. At the view of this point, this part is very important. In this part, there are some factors like Importance, complexity, or difficulty which commonly include fuzzy factors in our surrounding. But until now, we are still out of the level to handle the evaluation module adequately among the some studies. In this study, we would like to suggest a new module that evaluate learning achievement of ICAI which have a variety of fuzzy environment. We combine Independent fuzzy environment like importance, complexity, difficulty into making total evaluation of learner's achievement. By the result, with expressing by linguistic form, this study can provide the theoretical basis in which we will be able to carry out sentence toward evaluation among elementary school.

Development of the Myoelectric Hand with a 2 DOF Auto Wrist Module (2 자유도 자동손목관절을 가진 근전 전동의수 개발)

  • An essential consideration to differentiate prosthetic hand from robot hand is its convenience and usefulness rather than high resolution or multi-function of the robot hand. Therefore, this study proposes a myoelectric hand with a 2 DOF auto wrist module which has 6 essential functions of the human hand such as open, grasp, pronation, supination, extension, flexion, which improves the convenience of the daily life. It consists of the 3 main parts, the myoelectric sensor for input signal without additional attachment to operate the prosthetic hand, hand mechanism with high-torqued auto-transmission mechanism and self-locking module which guarantee the safety under the abrupt emergency and minimum power consumption, and dual threshold based controller to make easy for adopting the multi-DOF myoelectric hand. We prove the validity of the proposed system with experimental results.

Switching Frequency Reduction Method for Modular Multi-level Converter Utilizing Redundancy Sub-module (예비 서브모듈을 활용한 모듈형 멀티레벨 컨버터의 스위칭 주파수 저감 기법)

  • This paper proposes a switching frequency reduction method for MMC (Modular Multilevel Converter) utilizing redundancy operation of sub-module, which can offer reduction of voltage harmonics and switching loss. The feasibility of proposed method was verified through computer simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC software. Based on simulation analysis, a hardware scaled-model of 10kVA, DC-1000V MMC was designed and manufactured in the lab. Various experiments were conducted to verify the feasibility of proposed method in the actual hardware system. The hardware scaled-model can be effectively utilized for analyzing the performance of MMC according to the modulation scheme and redundancy operation.

Design and Implementation an RF-state for WLL multichannel personal stations (WLL 다중채널 단말기용 RF단 설계 및 제작)

  • In this paper, We designed and implemented an RF module for WLL multi-channel personal stations. Then, we experimentally evaluated in receiving sensitivity, adjacent channel interference selectivity and spurious response limit. From the measurement results on the RF module for WLL multi-channel personal stations, we observed and confirmed as follows: First, the variation in output power level was kept to be less than 30 dBm in the range of the input power level from -90 dBm to -30dBm. This measurement result confirmed the dynamic range of 60 dB. Secondly, at the output stage of the RF module, the gain flatness in the pass band was measured to be less than 2dB, which confirmed a precise control of the bandspread signals. Thirdly, at the RF module, the bandwidth and power level in transmission were measured to be 10 MHz, respectively we note that these features satisfy the design specifications.

  • The thermoelectric characteristics of alkali activated slag composites containing multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) was investigated in the present study. Three different MWCNT contents and exposed temperatures were considered, and their thermoelectric-related properties and internal structures were analyzed. It was found that the alkali activated slag composite with MWCNT 2.0 wt.% and the exposed temperature of 150℃ were the optimal condition to obtain the highest Seebeck coefficient and power factor. Based on the feasibility study, the extended size thermoelectric module with 130 elements was fabricated, and tested the electricity production capacity. Consequently, the present thermoelectric module produced 30.83 ㎼ of electricity at ∆T=178.4℃.

MPC-based Active Steering Control using Multi-rate Kalman Filter for Autonomous Vehicle Systems with Vision (비젼 기반 자율주행을 위한 다중비율 예측기 설계와 모델예측 기반 능동조향 제어)

  • In this paper, we present model predictive control (MPC) applied to lane keeping system (LKS) based on a vision module. Due to a slow sampling rate of the vision system, the conventional LKS using single rate control may result in uncomfortable steering control rate in a high vehicle speed. By applying MPC using multi-rate Kalman filter to active steering control, the proposed MPC-based active steering control system prevents undesirable saturated steering control command. The effectiveness of the MPC is validated by simulations for the LKS equipped with a camera module having a slow sampling rate on the curved lane with the minimum radius of 250[m] at a vehicle speed of 30[m/s].
