For a based, 1-connected, finite CW-complex X, we denote by $\varepsilon(X)$ the group of homotopy classes of self-homotopy equivalences of X and by $\varepsilon_#\;^{dim+r}(X)$ the subgroup of homotopy classes which induce the identity on the homotopy groups of X in dimensions $\leq$ dim X+r. In this paper, we calculate the subgroups $\varepsilon_#\;^{dim+r}(X)$ when X is a wedge of two Moore spaces determined by cyclic groups and in consecutive dimensions.

Given a topological space X and a non-negative integer k, we study the self-homotopy equivalences of X that do not change maps from X to n-sphere $S^n$ homotopically by the composition for all $n{\geq}k$. We denote by ${\varepsilon}^{\sharp}_k(X)$ the set of all homotopy classes of such self-homotopy equivalences. This set is a dual concept of ${\varepsilon}^{\sharp}_k(X)$, which has been studied by several authors. We prove that if X is a finite CW complex, there are at most a finite number of distinguishing homotopy classes ${\varepsilon}^{\sharp}_k(X)$, whereas ${\varepsilon}^{\sharp}_k(X)$ may not be finite. Moreover, we obtain concrete computations of ${\varepsilon}^{\sharp}_k(X)$ to show that the cardinal of ${\varepsilon}^{\sharp}_k(X)$ is finite when X is either a Moore space or co-Moore space by using the self-closeness numbers.

본 연구는 20세기 미국 대학의 수학 교육현장에서 큰 영향을 미쳐온 R. L. 무어 교수법이 학부 수학교육 과정에 효과적으로 적용되기 위해 어떻게 연구되고 변형되어왔는지를 지켜보면서, 교육학적 논의를 통해 우리나라 대학교육에 시사하는 점을 논의하고자 한다.

This set is a subgroup of the self-homotopy equivalence group ${\varepsilon}(X)$. We find certain homotopic tools for computations of ${\varepsilon}^{\sharp}_k(X)$. Using these results, we determine ${\varepsilon}^{\sharp}_k(M(G,n))$ for $k{\geq}n$, where M(G, n) is a Moore space type of (G, n) for a finitely generated abelian group G.

Boyer-Moore 알고리즘은 컴퓨터 및 인터넷 보안, 바이오 인포매틱스 등의 응용프로그램에서 널리 활용되는 패턴매칭 알고리즘이다. 이 알고리즘은 방대한 양의 입력 데이터에 존재하는 특정한 하나의 패턴을 실시간에 검색해야하는 높은 계산 요구량으로 인하여 병렬 처리 및 성능 최적화가 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 GPU를 활용하여 BM 알고리즘을 병렬 최적화하는 방법론을 제안한다. 방법론에 따라 알고리즘 cascading 기법을 적용하여 실행시간에 소요되는 매핑 오버헤드를 최소화하고, 멀티스레딩 효과를 극대화하여 스레드들간의 부하 부산을 향상시킴으로써 순차실행 대비 최대 45배의 성능향상을 얻었다.

본 연구자들은 이 논문에서 다변수미적분학 수업에 적용한 변형 무어교수법(Modified Moore Method)을 소개하고, 이 교수법을 적용한 수업에서 학습에 대한 학생들의 인식변화와 학습 효과를 관찰하여 효과적인 교수 학습을 논의하였다. 본 연구는 3주 기간의 여름계절학기 강좌로 개설된 다변수미적분학 수업을 수강한 15명의 학생들을 대상으로 실시되었다. 학생들의 능동적 예습을 안내하기 위하여 주요 수학 개념에 관련된 단계별로 구조화된 발문 형식의 예습자료를 미리 제시하였다. 수업 중 학생들의 소그룹 협력학습 과정과 발표를 관찰하고, 매 수업 후반에 작성한 학생들의 강의일지와 학기말에 실시한 설문 조사를 분석한 결과에 의하면, 학생들은 스스로 탐구하여 발견하는 학습을 통하여 주제 개념에 대하여 보다 깊이 이해할 수 있음을 인식하게 되었고, 동료와의 토론 및 상호 가르침을 통하여 다양한 내용의 학습과 반성적 사고를 경험할 수 있었다.
