  • This paper proposes a new FIR fillet architecture for the spectral shaping filter used in the transmitter and the receiver for QAM-VDSL modem. This architecture reduced the hardware property and the power consumption. We derive algorithms for reducing the number of multipliers and the memory architecture for reducing the power consumption. The proposed filter has been implemented using VHDL and performed functional simulation.

  • Modem standard CMOS process technology suffer from so large amount of PVT i.e process, voltage and temperature variation over 30% of its desired value that accurate resistor value is hard to be achieved. A filter using switched-capacitor(SC) circuit has a time constant proportional to relative capacitor area ratio rather than its absolute value. If the PLL's loop filter were made out of SC circuit, there could be much less PVT variation problem. Furthermore, programmability on the loop filter can be achieved In this paper, we present the PLL with SC loop filter. The accuracy provided by SC filter would be helpful to enhance PLL's locking behaviour.

  • In this paper, we designed the equalizer optimized for VDSL modem chip using QAM method. The equalizer is capable of variable constellation. The equalizer was coded using VHDL and the logic simulation was performed. The test vector were generated based on the channel environments using MATLAB.

  • In this paper, we used class D amplification circuit to improve the decline of error rate caused by low impedance in the Power Line Communication. We manufactured voltage drive circuit and current drive circuit that are driven circuit of power line modem on the present and made a comparison experiment with drivel circuit that uses class D amplifier proposed in this paper. As a result of Experiment, We showed that it has great superiority over other existing drive circuits at rapid impedance change in power line channel.

Spatial Reuse Algorithm Using Interference Graph in Millimeter Wave Beamforming Systems

  • This paper proposes a graph-theatrical approach to optimize spatial reuse by adopting a technique that quantizes the channel information into single bit sub-messages. First, we introduce an interference graph to model the network topology. Based on the interference graph, the computational requirements of the algorithm that computes the optimal spatial reuse factor of each user are reduced to quasilinear time complexity, ideal for practical implementation. We perform a resource allocation procedure that can maximize the efficiency of spatial reuse. The proposed spatial reuse scheme provides advantages in beamforming systems, where in the interference with neighbor nodes can be mitigated by using directional beams. Based on results of system level measurements performed to illustrate the physical interference from practical millimeter wave wireless links, we conclude that the potential of the proposed algorithm is both feasible and promising.

Characteristics of Colors and Color Images on fashion Web Sites (패션 웹사이트의 색채 특성와 이미지)

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the characteristics of colors and color images on fashion web sites, and to provide efficient color informatiom which is useful in color planning and is suitable for brand image on fashion web sites.216 color sample used by 48 fashion web sites were collected and analyzed. The results of this study are as follows; First, dominant colors on fashion web sites are neutral color such as white, gray, black and warm colors such as red, yellow red, yellow. Except blue, cool colors show low usage ratio. Second, the color tones of vivid, strong, light, dull, dark, dark grayish were shown in order. Third, the color images on fashion web sites are casual, modem, romantic, natural, elegant, chic, classic, dandy, pretty, clear, cool casual, dynamic, gorgeous, ethnic and formal.

  • In this study, the various financial management systems practiced by modem dual-income families were assessed by in-depth interviews with 6 people, 3 practicing integrated financial management and 3 practicing individual financial management. The results indicated significant differences between the two financial management methods regarding family structure, individual values, and family finances. Families that practiced individual financial management consisted of weekend couples without children who showed an individual-centered value tendency and seemed to take a positive attitude towards their future economic situation due to possession of their on stabilized financial assets. Based on these results, we can expect more families to adopt methods of individual financial management and show a wider variety in their financial planning tools which will require adequate and efficient countermeasures and strategies suitable for each financial management practice.

  • Performance test of servo control system that is used ultra-precision positioning system with single plane X-Y stage is performed by simulation with Matlab. Analyzed for previous control algorithm and adapted for modem control theory, dual servo algorithm is developed by minimum order observer, and stability priority on controller are secured. Through the simulation and experiments on ultra precision positioning, stability and priority on ultra-precision positioning system with single plane X-Y stage and control algorithm are secured by using Matlab with Simulink and ControlDesk made in dSPACE

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the trends of, the ugliness images expressed in Modern Make-up from 1995 to 2003, especially focusing on color, and to enlarge the possibility of expressions through formative elements such as shape·texture·details and to anticipate the prospect of the Make-up in the future. The results can be summarized as follows. First, Ugliness is the most negative aesthetic value which is lack of beauty, and ultimate beauty is achieved through the combination of beauty with ugliness. Second, the images of ugliness have been expressed in paintings and fashion. The 20 century paintings, representing the ugly shape are extremely exaggerated with yellow, red, black, blue, white, green. The shape have been distorted, deformed, destroyed. And Pluralism and De-constructivism with its traits of indeterminacy have become the background of ugliness images in Fashion.

  • In modem industry, the accuracy and the surface-finish requirements for machined parts have been becoming ever more stringent. Optical method in measurements is playing an important role in vibration measurement, crack and defect detection and surface topography with the advent of opto-mechatronics. In this study, the principle of the general confocal microscope is introduced for surface measurement, and the advanced confocal microscope that has better measuring speed than the traditional confocal microscope is developed. A study on improving the resolution of the advanced confocal microscope is followed. Finally, Software for data acquisition and analysis of various parameters in surface geometrical features has been developed.
