  • The purpose of this study was to examine the pathways between mothers' inappropriate smart device usage habits, preschoolers' immersion tendency and self-regulation, and children's cognitive ability. The subjects of the study were 308 preschoolers aged 4 and 5 years and their mothers in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Incheon, Gangwon-do, Daejeon, Busan, and Mokpo. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation using the SPSS 25 program. A sequential mediation model was analyzed using the AMOS 22 program. Mothers' inappropriate smart device usage habits were found to have a negative effect on the preschoolers' self-regulation, and this association was mediated by the preschoolers' smart device immersion tendency. These findings show the mechanisms through which mothers' inappropriate smart device usage habits negatively affect preschoolers' smart device immersion and self-regulation which, in turn, has a negative impact on cognitive ability

  • This study seeks to empirically investigate the impact of transformational leadership on employees' innovation with the mediating effect of technological diversity. Employees have evolved into leaders in organizing work within institutions over the last few decades. This shift presents new demands for leaders, who are forced to reinvent individual workers while also improving workplace innovation. This research proposes a conceptual model for considering transformational leadership and the impact of technological diversity on innovation. Structured questionnaire is used in the study and the analysis of the data from 633 employees of universities in the United Arab Emirates uses stratified sampling technique and hypotheses verified through Structural Equations Modelling (AMOS-21). According to the results, transformational leadership has a big effect on employees' innovation. Furthermore, in the relationship between transformational leadership and workforce innovation, technological diversity has a partial mediation impact. This research adds to the growing body of knowledge about how transformational leadership influences employees' innovation and how it affects employees' success, especially in the context of UAE-based universities. Overall, this research contributes to the previous studies wherein transformational leadership plays a critical role in influencing the innovative performance of employees and that, in turn, will promote diversification of technology in the organization.

  • Snack culture, which can be easily enjoyed and consumed in a short period of time just like eating sweets, is spreading rapidly. Among them, TikTok is gaining popularity mainly among the MZ generation, and TikTok is rapidly emerging as a means of advertising or marketing. In this study, we studied the effect of TikTok Advertising's informativeness, interactivity, and impediment on brand attitudes. Previous studies have suggested that brand attitudes are formed through usefulness. However, this study divided usefulness into utilitarian value and hedonic value, and proved that brand attitudes are formed through these mediation variables. This is because of the TikTok advertising includes entertainment as well as usefulness. Therefore, this study established and verified the model in which informativeness, interactivity, and impediment of TikTok advertising form brand attitude through utilitarian value and hedonic value. In order to verify this research model, survey questionnaires were distributed to TikTok users and a total of 220 data samples were collected and analyzed. As a result of data analysis, informativeness and interactivity have a positive effect on utilitarian value and hedonic value, but impediment has a negative effect. In addition, informativeness, interactivity, impediment influenced brand attitudes through practical value and hedonic value, not directly influencing brand attitudes. This study is meaningful in that it suggests a marketing strategy that can further enhance brand attitude by considering utilitarian value and hedonic value simultaneously, rather than focusing on either utilitarian value or hedonic value.

The study subjects were middle and high school students living in S City in South Chungcheong Province, and data were collected through a survey. For collected data analysis, SPSS PC+ Win. ver. 25.0 and SPSS PROCESS macro ver. 4.2 were used. Data were analyzed by applying frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and double mediation effect analysis techniques. As a result of the study, first, there was a significant positive correlation between mindfulness, gratitude, self-esteem, and happiness. In particular, there was the highest correlation between gratitude and self-esteem. Second, gratitude and self-esteem had a double mediating effect in the relationship between mindfulness and happiness in middle and high school students. These results can be used as a new practice model to improve happiness by utilizing psychological variables such as mindfulness, gratitude, and self-esteem for middle and high school students.

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify the mediating effects of self-efficacy between academic stress and college adjustment in first year nursing students. Method: Data were collected from 396 first year nursing students from 3 junior colleges and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlations and structural equation model (SEM) with PASW 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 programs. Results: There was a negative relationship between academic stress and college adjustment but a positive relationship between self-efficacy and college adjustment. There was a partial mediating effect of self-efficacy between academic stress and college adjustment. Conclusion: The results indicate a need to develop programs that effectively promote the self-efficacy of first year nursing students to decrease academic stress and maximize college adjustment. Further studies are needed in which other factors that could affect college adjustment are examined.

  • Recently, the growth of the Internet shopping malls around the world has been increasingly accelerated based on the great advances of IT. Nevertheless, in China the Internet shopping malls have not rewed up relatively. Therefore, this paper has a purpose to discover the factors influencing the vigor of the shopping malls in China and mechanisms on interrelationships among the factors, focusing on customers' trust. To analyze the Chinese Internet shopping mall market from a wider perspective, our research model includes the antecedents from the aspects of shopping mall quality, customer characteristics, environmental features through reorganizing comprehensively various factors considered in the previous studies, and uses customer trust as an intermediate factor and purchasing intention as a dependent factor. It is expected that the implications of this study can help Chinese government agencies related to Internet shopping malls and managers for them make decisions on their policies and strategies effectively.

  • This research investigated the effect of human resource practices on knowledge sharing. We developed and tested a mediation model of how human resource practices affect shared vision and codes which facilitates knowledge sharing. A field study of the R&D centers in knowledge-intensive industries showed that commitment-based human resource management systems were positively related to shared vision and codes and knowledge sharing, and the relationship between HR practices and knowledge sharing was fully mediated through shared vision and codes. This study contributed to the extant literature pertaining to the antecedents of knowledge sharing through focusing on the role of HR practices and shared vision and codes.

  • This present study tested whether job stress mediates the relationship between workload and safety behavior of members in organization. In addition, we hypothesized trust in leader/coworkers functions as moderator between not only the workload-job stress link, but also the job stress-safety behavior link. In order to investigate the hypotheses, 841 employees in various fields of companies were sampled. Using structural equation modeling(SEM), we conducted moderated mediation model analysis which elaborately investigated the significance of our hypotheses. The results indicated that job stress mediated the link between workload and safety behavior of members. In addition, the relationship between workload and job stress was moderated by trust in leader/coworkers. Moreover trust in leader/coworkers moderated the job stress-safety behavior linkage. The implications and limitations of our study and suggestions for future research were discussed.

  • This study examined the impact of childhood physical abuse on the self-concept of older adolescents and assessed perceptions of parental relationships as a mediator for consequences of abuse. Sixty-college undergraduates (aged 18-23 yrs.) completed this study. (1) The Self-Description Questionnaires, a multidimensional measure of self-concept, (2) the parent scales of the inventory parent and Peer Attachment, a measure of perceived parental support, and (3) the Assessing Environments, a retrospective report of family environment and parenting practices. Analyses, controlling for SES and education, showed that a history of physical abuse was a strong predictive of adolescence current self-concept. Further analyses would lend support to a mediation model, suggesting that physical abuse had a negative impact on self-concept through its negative effect on parent-child relationships.
