We first discuss jump discontinuity in higher dimension, and then prove a local convergence theorem for wavelet approximations in higher dimension. We also redefine the concept of Gibbs phenomenon in higher dimension and show that wavelet expansion exhibits Gibbs phenomenon.

This paper deals with the origin of the concept of lattices in mathematics and its development until 1930's. Although it is purely mathematical, its formation is due to the development of symbolic logic Further, logicians were mostly concerned about how to imitate the methods and duplicate the problems of algebra but not the application to mathematics. The first purely mathematical approach was given by Dedekind and his results were neglected and then reappeared in 1930's.

In this paper, we define the concept of a semisimple injective comodule. We show that it is a generalization of some known comodules, and we give a useful characterization of this notion. Finally, we obtain a new characterization of simple semiartinian coring using semisimple injective comodules.

본 연구는 고등학교 수학 I 의 각 단원에 대하여 개념학습지를 활용한 수업이 고등학생들의 학업성취도와 수학적 신념 형성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 조사하는데 목적이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서 해결하고자 하는 구체적인 문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수학의 개념학습지를 활용한 수업은 학생들의 학업성취도 향상에 효과적인가? 둘째, 수학의 개념학습지를 활용한 수업은 학생들의 수학적 신념에 긍정적인 영향을 주는가? 셋째, 수학의 개념학습지를 활용한 수업에 대한 학생들의 반응은 어떠한 가이다. 본 연구를 통하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 개념학습지를 활용한 수업에서 실험집단은 비교집단에 비하여 학업성취에 향상을 보여 주고 있다. 둘째, 개념학습지를 활용한 수업에서 실험집단은 비교집단에 비하여 수학적 신념 변화에 효과적이었음을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 개념학습지를 활용한 수업에서 실험집단은 비교집단에 비하여 학습태도의 변화에 도움이 되고 있음을 알 수 있다.

구분구적법에 대한 이해는 리만합의 극한으로 정의되는 정적분에 대한 이해의 기초가 된다. 그러나 선행연구는 구분구적법과 리만합의 극한으로서 정적분 개념에 대한 학생들의 이해에 여러 가지 한계가 있음을 지적하였다. 이 연구에서는 선행연구 분석을 통해 구분구적법의 개념 지도에 있어 크게 두 가지 어려움이 있음을 확인하였으며, 이를 개선하는데 기여할 만한 교수학적 시사점을 각각 기술하였다. 나아가 미국, 영국, 일본 교과서에 비추어 우리나라 교과서에서만 고유하게 다루어지는 정적분과 무한급수의 관계가 리만합의 극한이라는 정적분의 개념 지도에 있어 필수적인 내용 요소인지를 반성적으로 검토하였다.

이 연구에서는 고등학생을 대상으로 정적분 개념의 이해와 관련되는 특징을 살펴보기 위해 선행연구와 국내외 교과서에서 다루고 있는 정적분의 개념 정의를 알아보았다. 이를 토대로 지필형 검사지를 개발하여 고등학교 2학년 학생 108명을 대상으로 검사를 실시한 다음 그 결과를 선행연구와 교과서 분석 결과에 비추어 기술하였다. 이 연구에서 학생들은 리만합의 극한이라는 정적분의 정의에 대한 최소 아이디어조차도 거의 기억해내지 못하였다. 또한 적지 않은 학생들이 정적분 개념이 넓이와 부정적분보다 무한급수와 관련된다고 생각하였다. 리만합의 극한으로 정적분을 정의하는 방식과 정적분을 무한급수와 관련시키는 맥락에 대한 반성적인 검토가 필요하다.
