Nowadays, most of the major manufacturing companies prepare their manufacturing schedule using package based solutions. Even though the accuracy of the detail scheduling result is high at implementation, however, it is low during maintenance period. The main cause of low accuracy during maintenance period is due to difficulties in maintaining the accurate level of master data. In this paper, we propose to easily maintain setup time, which is one of the most important factors required in master data to achieve good scheduling result, after changing job. This paper is mainly focused on how to deduce the factors that influence the setup time in a roll-based manufacturing field with print operations. For this purpose, we employed rule based algorithm and applied for deciding setup time for the existing product items. Likewise, it can be applied to new items without any complex setup procedures, and, finally, it displays the result of the real setup-time and calculated setup-time.

Reduction of ship's rolling is the most important performance requirement for improving the safety of the crew on board and preventing damage to cargo as well as improving the comfort of the ride. It is a common experience for mariners, to see that steering with a rudder generally induces rolling of the ship, though the original aim of the rudder is to keep the ship's heading to the required course. At the first stage, when a rudder is steered, usually a ship heels in an inward direction, due to the roll moment acting on the rudder. At the next stage in steering, the main heel may change to an outward. This coupling between rudder and roll motion has become an attractive problem from the point of view of roll stabilization using the rudder, because it is a natural in sight that if the rudder action is skillfully related to the change of roll as well as to the course deviation, the roll can be reduced to a certain degree. The main aim of this paper is to discuss the results of the actual full-scale sea trials carried out on steer gear No.1 and No.1 2, the individual quartermaster and to make clear their statistical properties, using the actual data which included measurement of roll angle, roll rate and the comparative tests were carried out immediately after each other, in order to minimize any statistical variation in sea conditions. It can be concluded that the steer gear No. 1 2 reduced the roll motion on average by about 21% in comparison with the No.1 and confirmed the some difference as per a ability of quarter-master's maneuver.

Demand for a low-cost, high-throughput, and high-resolution patterning method for fabricating devices continues to increase. The roll-to-roll (R2R) imprint lithography technique has received a great deal of attention as a means of fabricating next-generation devices. In this paper, we propose a fabrication method for polymeric planar lightwave circuit (PLC) devices that uses R2R imprint lithography. The proposed technique uses an elastomeric polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) mold. A Si wafer with micro patterns is used as the Si master. The PDMS mold is then replicated from the Si master. By applying a precise web tension and at a given web speed, we fabricated a micro-patterned PLC device. The insertion losses were 4.0 dB for a $1{\times}2$ optical splitter. As such, the proposed method of fabricating a PLC device by the R2R process was shown to be an effective solution.

The polarizer is an important optical element used in a variety of applications. Nano-wire grid polarizers in the form of sub-wavelength metallic gratings are an attractive alternative to conventional polarizers, because they provide high extinction ratio. This study has been carried out to fabrication of the 17inch area size nano-wire grid polarizer(NWGP) The master for NWGPs with a pitch of 200nm and the area size $730mm{\times}450mm$ were fabricated using laser interference lithography and aluminum sputtering and wet etching. And The NWGP fabrication process was using by the Roll to-Roll UV imprinting and was applied to flexible PET film. The results were a transmission of light (Tp) 46.7%, reflectance (Rs) 40.1% and Extinction ratio of above 16 for the visible light range.

Plasmon subwavelength nanostructures enable the structurally modulated color due to the resonance conditions for the specific wavelength range of light with the nanoscale hole arrays on a metal layer. While the unique properties offered from a single layer of metal may open up the potential applications of integrated devices to displays and sensors, fabrication requirements in nanoscale, typically on the order of or smaller than the wavelength of light in a corresponding medium can limit the cost-effective implementation of the plasmonic nanostructures. Simpler nanoscale replication technologies based on the soft lithography or roll-to-roll nanoimprinting can introduce economically feasible manufacturing process for these devices. Such replication requires an optimal design of a master template to produce a stamp that can be applied for a roll-to-roll nanoimprinting. In this paper, a master mold with subwavelength nanostructures is fabricated and optimized using focused ion beam for the applications to nanoimprinting process. Au thin film layer is deposited by sputtering on a glass that serves as a dielectric substrate. Focused ion beam milling (FIB, JEOL JIB-4601F) is used to fabricate surface plasmon subwavelength nanostructures made of periodic hole arrays. The light spectrum of the fabricated nanostructures is characterized by using UV-Vis-NIR spectrophotometer (Agilent, Cary 5000) and the surface morphology is measured by using atomic force microscope (AFM, Park System XE-100) and scanning electron microscope (SEM, JEOL JSM-7100F). Relationship between the parameters of the hole arrays and the corresponding spectral characteristics and their potential applications are also discussed.

A two-dimensional photonic crystal structure was investigated using a roll-to-roll nanoreplication and physical vapor deposition processes for the inexpensive enhanced fluorescence substrate which is not sensitive to the polarization directions of excitation light source. An 8 inch silicon master having nano dot array with a diameter of 200 nm, a height of 100 nm and a pitch of 400 nm was prepared by KrF laser scanning lithography and reactive ion etching processes. A flexible polymer mold was fabricated by flat type UV replication process and a deposition of 10 nm nickel layer as an anti-adhesion layer. A roll mold was prepared by warping the flexible polymer mold on an aluminum roll base and a roll-to-roll UV replication process was carried out using the roll mold. After the deposition of ~ 100 nm $TiO_2$ layer on the replicated nano dot array, a 2 dimensional photonic crystal structure was realized with a resonance wavelength of 635 nm for both p- and s-polarized light sources.

Nanoimprint lithography (NIL) has revolutionized the fabrications of electronics, photonics, optical and biological devices. Among all the NIL processes, roll-to-roll nanoimprinting is regarded best for having the attributes of low cost, continuous, simple, and energy-efficient process for nanoscale device fabrication. However, large-area printing is limited by the master mold deformation. In this study, a finite element model (FEM) has been constructed to assess the deformation of the roll mold adhesively wrapped on the carbon fiber reinforced material (CFRP) base roll. This study also optimizes the deformations in the metallic roll mold with respect to nip-forces applied in the printing process of nano-fabrication on large scale. The numerical simulations were also conducted to evaluate the deflection in roll mold assembly due to gravity. The results have shown decreasing trend of the deformation with decreasing nip-force. Also, pressure uniformity of about 40% has been optimized by using the current numerical model along with an acceptable deflection value in the vertical axis due to gravity.

Radiofrequency ablation through cardiac catheterization is one of minimally invasive intervention procedures used in drug resistant arrhythmia treatment. To facilitate more accurate and precise catheter navigation, systems for robotic cardiac catheter navigation have been developed and commercialized. The authors have been developing a novel robotic catheter navigation system. The system is a network-based master-slave configuration 3-DOF (Degree-Of-Freedom) robotic manipulator for operation with conventional cardiac ablation catheter. The catheter manipulation motion is composed of the translation (forward/backward) and the roll movements of the catheter and knob rotation for the catheter tip articulation. The master manipulator comprises an operator handle compartment for the knob and the roll movement input, and a base platform for the translation movement input. The slave manipulator implements a robotic catheter platform in which conventional cardiac catheter is mounted and the 3-DOF motions of the catheter are controlled. The system software that runs on a realtime OS based PC, implements the master-slave motion synchronization control in the robot system. The master-slave motion synchronization performance tested with step, sinusoidal and arbitrarily varying motion commands showed satisfactory results with acceptable level of steady state error. The developed system will be further improved through evaluation of safety and performance in in vitro and in vivo tests.
