  • Recently, malicious code distribution of ransomware through a web site based on a drive-by-download attack has resulted in service disruptions to the web site and damage to PC files for end users. Therefore, analyzing the characteristics of the target web site industry, distribution time, application type, and type of malicious code that is being exploited can predict and respond to the attacker's attack activities by analyzing the status and trend of malicious code sites. In this paper, we will examine the distribution of malicious codes to 3.43 million websites in Korea to draw out the characteristics of each detected landing site, exploit site, and distribution site, and discuss countermeasures.

  • Web applications make life more convenient. Many web applications have several kinds of user input (e.g. personal information, a user's comment of commercial goods, etc.) for the activities. On the other hand, there are a range of vulnerabilities in the input functions of Web applications. Malicious actions can be attempted using the free accessibility of many web applications. Attacks by the exploitation of these input vulnerabilities can be achieved by injecting malicious web code; it enables one to perform a variety of illegal actions, such as SQL Injection Attacks (SQLIAs) and Cross Site Scripting (XSS). These actions come down to theft, replacing personal information, or phishing. The existing solutions use a parser for the code, are limited to fixed and very small patterns, and are difficult to adapt to variations. A machine learning method can give leverage to cover a far broader range of malicious web code and is easy to adapt to variations and changes. Therefore, this paper suggests the adaptable classification of malicious web code by machine learning approaches for detecting the exploitation user inputs. The approach usually identifies the "looks-like malicious" code for real malicious code. More detailed classification using sequence information is also introduced. The precision for the "looks-like malicious code" is 99% and for the precise classification with sequence is 90%.

  • Recently, various studies on malicious URL detection using artificial intelligence have been conducted, and most of the research have shown great detection performance. However, not only does classical machine learning require a process of analyzing features, but the detection performance of a trained model also depends on the data analyst's ability. In this paper, we propose a DL-ML Fusion Hybrid Model for malicious web site URL detection based on URL lexical features. the propose model combines the automatic feature extraction layer of deep learning and classical machine learning to improve the feature engineering issue. 60,000 malicious and normal URLs were collected for the experiment and the results showed 23.98%p performance improvement in maximum. In addition, it was possible to train a model in an efficient way with the automation of feature engineering.

  • This study investigates open-source dynamic XSS filters used as security devices in web applications to account for the effectiveness of filters in protecting against XSS attacks. The experiment involves twelve representative filters, which are examined individually by placing them into the final output function of a custom-built single-input-form web application. To assess the effectiveness of the filters in their tasks of sanitizing XSS payloads and in preserving benign payloads, a black-box testing method is applied using an automated XSS testing framework. The result in working with malicious and benign payloads shows an important trade-off in the filters' tasks. Because the filters that only check for dangerous or safe elements, they seem to neglect to validate their values. As some safe values are mistreated as dangerous elements, their benign payload function is lost in the way. For the filters to be more effective, it is suggested that they should be able to validate the respective values of malicious and benign payloads; thus, minimizing the trade-off. This particular assessment of XSS filters provides important insight regarding the filters that can be used to mitigate threats, including the possible configurations to improve them in handling both malicious and benign payloads.

Other confidential information via the web site of the country, and your personal information by illegally accessing the data has been obtained who Hacker forces are operating in some countries. Due to the problem of web site management has many vulnerabilities that web sites, as well as programs. In this paper, in the trend world, as well as domestic XSS, SQL Injection, Web Shell analysis of the vulnerability to attacks and XSS, SQL Injection, Web Shell is a direct attack to attack. Security measures are presented what after the attack demonstrated the hack to data collection, analysis. In this study, web site management, web site security and safety can be improved and research will contribute.

  • Sharing cross-site resources has been adopted by many recent websites in the forms of service-mashup and social network services. In this change, exploitation of the new vulnerabilities increases, which includes inserting malicious codes into the interaction points between clients and services instead of attacking the websites directly. In this paper, we present a system model to identify malicious script codes in the web contents by means of a remote verification while the web contents downloaded from multiple trusted origins are executed in a client's browser space. Our system classifies verification items according to the origin of request based on the information on the service code implementation and stores the verification results into three databases composed of white, gray, and black lists. Through the experimental evaluations, we have confirmed that our system provides clients with increased security by effectively detecting malicious scripts in the mashup web environment.

  • Current web has evolved to a mashed-up format according to the change of the implementation and usage patterns. Web services and user experiences have improved, however, security threats are also increased as the web contents that are not yet verified combine together. To mitigate the threats incurred as an adverse effect of the web development, we need to check security on the combined web contents. In this paper, we propose a scheduling method to detect malicious web pages not only inside but also outside through extended links for secure operation of a web site. The scheduling method considers several aspects of each page including connection popularity, suspiciousness, and check elapse time to make a decision on the order for security check on numerous web pages connected with links. We verified the effectiveness of the security check complying with the scheduling method that uses the priority given to each page.

  • Recently, Phising attack uses trick of URL and sites, and technical concealment method which infiltrates sophisticated malicious code. However, sometimes Phising security technology cannot cover all of Phising methods. Consequently, this research proposes inspection to solve this problem. First, we can install Proxy server for a strong open information exchange of web environment between web servers and clients. Therefore, it compares and analyzes harmful site and Phising URL with White domain list, and filters them. Finally, designs for stable web based information so that we can block Phising with least regulation and active control. So the purpose of this paper is introducing this design system and structure, and inspect them.

  • Today we live in a flood of web sites and access numerous websites through the Internet to obtain various information. However, unless the security of the Web site is secured, Web site security can not be secured from various malicious attacks. Hacking attacks, which exploit Web site security vulnerabilities for various reasons, such as financial and political purposes, are increasing. Various attack techniques such as SQL-injection, Cross-Site Scripting(XSS), and Drive-By-Download are being used, and the technology is also evolving. In order to defend against these various hacking attacks, it is necessary to remove the vulnerabilities from the development stage of the website, but it is not possible due to various problems such as time and cost. In order to compensate for this, it is important to identify vulnerabilities in Web sites through web vulnerability checking and take action. In this paper, we investigate web vulnerabilities and diagnostic techniques and try to understand the priorities of vulnerabilities in the development stage according to the actual status of each case through cases of actual web vulnerability diagnosis.

  • Pharming attack is a confidence trick that the hacker catch away customers financial information on Internet banking. At first, a hacker installs malicious execution code on customers PC in secret. As a customer tries to connect a Internet banking Web site, the malicious code changes it to phishing site in Internet explorer. The hacker catch away customers financial information in process of internet banking. The hacker steals money from customer's bank account using stolen information. PKI is a widespread and strong technology for providing the security using public key techniques. The main idea of PKI is the digital certificate that is a digitally signed statement binding an user's identity information and his public key. The Internet banking service stands on the basis of PKI. However, the bank is trusted in natural, the only customer is certified in the present Internet banking. In this paper, we propose a method of cross certification in Internet banking. The customer certify a bank and the bank certify the customer in proposed method. The method can service to customer the secure Internet banking about pharming attack. We compare the proposed method with other methods.
