This study aimed to examine emo fashion, a very recent music-related fashion trend spreading fast amongst youths, and understand emo ideas and methods of expression for a greater understanding of contemporary youth sub-cultures and fashion trends. Documentary research, positive research and in-depth interviews were used throughout the study. 4 Korean emo bands and 4 U.S. emo bands were selected based on music chart rankings, and a total of 37 photographs from the bands' Internet websites were selected, and their clothes shown in the photographs were examined. 5 Korean emo band musicians were subjects of in-depth interviews, and they were asked about their emo culture, music, fashion, ideas and styles, and photographs were taken of the subjects and evaluated, too. Lastly, Korean and U.S. emo kids were studied through photographs, and comparatively analyzed. Both Korean and U.S. emo musicians wore slim silhouettes, skinny jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, black, studded belts and plastic-framed glasses. Korean fashion expressed a less depressive atmosphere with color and other details compared to the United States, and did not prefer dark black eye make-up, which United States emo style appeared to express frequently. Korean musicians' emo fashion was closer to other youth fashions, whereas U.S. emo fashion included more formal styles such as ruffled shirts and pin-striped vests. Korean emo kids wore clothes not much different from most Korean youths, but U.S. emo kids wore a lot of eye make-up and black t-shirts with graphic or skull prints, and had more geometrical hair styles, as if cut at home. The reasons for such differences were found to be a longer emo music and culture history in the United States leading to more elaborate fashion expressions and a difference in the states of mind, such as Korea pursuing to express love, and the United States pursuing loneliness.

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze about the Telecasters's appearance management, external image & awareness on Self-Efficacy. The method of this study is carried out form 2 January 2013 until 20 January. with the 164 telecasters who announcers, voice actors, gag men, singers. The results of the research is summarized below: First, Among the telecasters, singer is the highest awareness of the beauty services importance about the fashion, makeup, hair, skin care, cosmetic surgery. Especially, about the awareness of the beauty services importance about the fashion, makeup, hair, singers> announcers> voice actors> gagmen appear one after another. Second, about the importance awareness of the beauty services importance & the relation of self-efficacy, for announcers, the more higher awareness the fashion, makeup, hair, the higher self-efficacy of the confidence, effective expression, etc.. For voice actors, the more higher awareness the hair, skin care, the fashion, make up, cosmetic surgery, the higher self-efficacy of the new image making, the confidence, task efficiency improvement, etc... For gagmen, the more higher awareness the fashion, hair, skin care, makeup, cosmetic surgery, the higher self-efficacy of the self-expression, the confidence, the new image making, task efficiency improvement, etc.. For singer, the more higher awareness the makeup, hair, cosmetic surgery, skin care, fashion, the higher self-efficacy of the task efficiency improvement, the self-expression, the confidence, the new image making, etc.. Third, about the importance awareness of the appearance management behavior, external image, about the importance awareness of the appearance management behavior, singer is the most higher awareness, announcers> voice actors> gagmen appear one after another. about the importance awareness of the external image, singer is the most higher awareness, voice actor> announcers> gagmen appear after another. The meanings of this study provide the telecasters's image's fields with the effective basic data.

The influence of digital media according to environmental change of multi-media came to have significance more than what we imagine. In accordance with high resolution of HDTV in digital media era, the cautious awareness is required for skin color by the immediate color such as replica of TV color, lighting and clothing. As for the broadcasting makeup expression technique caused by a change in broadcasting environment in the digital media era, the first, There is necessity for natural makeup technique, and for expressing the whole makeup evenly and very delicately. The makeup work gets much more delicate. For the delicate expression, more time is being required than the existing makeup time. Second, Lots of time and manpower are required for elaborate real-object processing on all the production fields such as background set, stage properties, and makeup. Third, Realistic expression is available on the screen. Importance of basic makeup is highlighted. Thus, even the skin care shop came to be prevalent. Development in only HD cosmetics is needed for foundation with fine particle in new material and with diverse colors hereafter. The video-media field is a method that is ignored a sense of distance through vehicles such as camera, picture tube, and several kinds of broadcasting machinery and equipment and that is delivered vividly to viewers through screen, unlike the stage makeup, thereby being needed the makeup technology proper for HDTV according to the changing broadcasting environment and media. The video machinery and equipment are proceeding with being gradually high-tech and precise. Thus, an expert in makeup needs to know common sense on the video machinery and equipment before makeup, and needs to make an effort according to it. And, a follow-up research can be said to be necessary on the advance in makeup method and on more diverse dedicated cosmetics along with a research on color tone proper for HDTV.

As the completion of genome sequencing, large collection of expression data and the great efforts in annotating plant genomes, the next challenge is to systematically assign functions to all predicted genes in the genome. Functional genome analysis of plants has entered the high-throughput stage. The generations and collections of mutants at the genome-wide level form technological platform of functional genomics. However, to identify the exact function of unknown genes it is necessary to understand each gene's role in the complex orchestration of all gene activities in the plant cell. Gene function analysis therefore necessitates the analysis of temporal and spatial gene expression patterns. The most conclusive information about changes in gene expression levels can be gained from analysis of the varying qualitative and quantitative changes of messenger RNAs, proteins and metabolites. New technologies have been developed to allow fast and highly parallel measurements of these constituents of the cell that make up gene activity. We have reviewed currently employed technologies to identify unknown functions of predicted genes including map-based cloning, insertional mutagenesis, reverse genetics, chemical mutagenesis, microarray analysis, FOX-hunting system, gene silencing mutagenesis, proteomics and chemical genomics. Recent improvements in technologies for functional genomics enable whole-genome functional analysis, and thus open new avenues for studies of the regulations and functions of unknown genes in plants.

본 연구는 네일아트의 시각적 표현을 위해 공간을 구성하는 조형의 기본요소인 점, 선, 면을 적용한 네일아트를 제시하여 네일아트 디자인의 창의적인 발상과 예술적인 영역의 확대에 도움이 되고자 한다. 연구방법은 전문서적과 선행연구, 인터넷 웹사이트를 통해 조형요소의 개념과 특성을 고찰하였다. 다양한 표현 기법과 함께 점, 선, 면의 특성이 네일아트에 어떻게 적용되며 시각메세지로 표현되고 있는지를 각 특성에 따라 분석하여 총 6작품을 제작하였다. 본 연구는 조형요소인 점, 선, 면이 가지는 특성을 예술적으로 접근하여 재해석함으로써 네일아트 표현에 대한 시각을 새롭게 모색하고 이를 활용하여 네일아트 디자인의 무한한 가능성을 높이는데 기여하고자 한다.

플라보노이드(flavonoid)는 식물 등의 대사체에서 유래한 폴리페놀 계열의 화합물이며, 다양한 인체생리작용을 조절할 수 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이중 3,3',3',7-tetrahydroxyflavone (fisetin)은 다양한 과일과 채소에서 발견되며, 최근 노쇠용해(senolytic) 활성을 통해 특정 조직의 기능을 회복시킨다는 것이 알려졌다. 본 연구에서는 인간 표피 각질세포를 대상으로 하여 fisetin의 피부장벽 유전자 발현 조절 및 항노화 효능을 분석하였다. Fisetin은 말단소립 역전사효소(telomerase)의 활성을 증가시켰으며, CDKN1B 유전자의 발현을 감소시켰다. 또한 피부장벽을 구성하는 주요 유전자인 KRT1, FLG, IVL, DSP의 발현을 증가시켰으며, 세라마이드 합성효소의 일종인 CerS3, CerS4 유전자의 발현을 증가시켰다. 이러한 결과는 fisetin의 효능이 노쇠용해에 국한되지 않고 인간 각질세포의 다양한 생리학적 조절에도 관여함을 보여준다. 따라서 fisetin은 화장품 및 의약품 등의 생리활성 조절물질로 활용될 수 있다고 사료된다.

본 논문은 좋은 원작의 만화나 웹툰이 흥행에 그다지 성공을 거두지 못하고 있는 상황에서 웹툰의 영화화 중 최고의 흥행 스코어를 기록한 <은밀하게 위대하게>가 어떤 시각적 구성요소를 통해 영화관객을 매료시켰는지, 즉 웹툰과 영화에서 표현되는 시각적 텍스트 분석을 통해 이미지의 유사성을 검토하고자 한다. 이러한 논의는 우선적으로 웹툰과 영화의 싱크로율, 즉 이미지의 유사성에서 기인한 흥행성과의 의미를 도출하고자 한다. 또한 오늘날 웹툰의 영화화가 활성화되고 있는 시점에 그간 흥행의 부침을 겪은 웹툰의 영화화가 일시적인 유행이 아니라 지속가능한지에 대한 물음에 답을 구하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 원작 웹툰과 영화화된 <은밀하게 위대하게>의 시각적 구성요소를 비교 분석하여 매체변형에 대한 의미와 가치 그리고 중요성을 제시하고자 한다. 주로 웹툰의 시각적 구성요소와 영화적 요소의 표현형식이 일치하고 있는 장면연출과 칸과 칸의 전환, 그리고 색채와 톤을 위주로 하여 분석할 것이다. 구체적인 구성요소는 화면의 크기, 움직임, 색상과 톤, 배경과 상황, 공간구도와 심도, 콘트라스트, 표현방식과 배열방식으로 텍스트를 나누어 웹툰과 영화의 시각적 표현 방식을 상호 비교한다.

Background: Korean mistletoe (Viscum album) extract has been found to posses immunostimulatory activity. In this study, Korean mistletoe extract, M11C (non-lectin components), was used to know whether this extract might activate mouse peritoneal macrophages to produce interleukin $1{\beta}$ (IL-$1{\beta}$). Methods: Hemagglutination assay was carried out to examine whether M11C contained a lectin or not. To know the effect of M11C on the production of IL-$1{\beta}$, the macrophages were treated by the M11C, and then collected the supernatant (M11C stimulated macrophages-conditioned media; MMCM). MMCM was analyzed for the IL-$1{\beta}$ quantification and mRNA expression by means of ELISA and RT-PCR, respectively. Results: Maximum effective dose and time of M11C on IL-$1{\beta}$ production from macrophages were $20{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ and 8 hours, respectively. This ELISA data was reconfirmed by immunoblotting assay. indicating that M11C is a good candidate for an immunomodulator. The dose and time dependent effects of M11C on the expression of IL-$1{\beta}$ mRNA from macrophages was also shown in expression of mRNA detected by RT-PCR. Treatment dose and time for the maximum expression of IL-$1{\beta}$ mRNA were $20{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ and 4 hours, respectively. Maximum gene expression of IL-$1{\beta}$ was much earlier than maximum production of it. Conclusion: As results, Korean mistletoe extract, M11C, may be used for an immunomodulator. This will be able to make up for and solve the problems caused by existent immunoagent with many adverse effects through many other studies in future including one molecule extraction.

Recently the fashion design has been expressed mixing trend of antipodal concept. The purpose of this study are to consider preponderantly the fashion design using corset, shown up as the motive of costume design from 1990's to 2002's, define the character of molding. and extend the width of understanding of modern fashion. The results of the study are as follows: 1. The trend of deconstructionism as one line of fashion world in the 1990's make into outer garment of inner-wear, corset has been using the main item of infra costume. The past corset was existed innerwear, but it is revived various forms by transforming outer garment of body expression consciously. 2. Corset look is shown double faced factory of the beauty of tradition and decadence, vulgarity and nobility, concealment and exposure, and are expressed boldly the free consciousness outer about woman's sex with the improvement of woman's social position. 3. The molding character of Corset look divided Eroticism, Fetishism, Deconstructionism. Futurism. The trend of Corset look design is the emphasized sexual part of lace-up and cutting line of corset, and various details of see-through, kitsch, glitter look. Therefore, the trend of Corset look will be applied the modern fashion and used as motif of new design, affected the inspiration of more developed design with grafting of up-to-date fabrics and processing technique.

Objectives: It has been pointed out that there are problems in handling and managing chemicals due to trade secrets of Material Safety Data Sheet(MSDS). To date, some company intentionally leave out of several parts and use an inaccurate expression in MSDS. In particular, with the result of the inspection of the government and labour community, it is required that the 2nd section in MSDS included the composition and information on ingredients has to be provided with comprehensive expression to secure more reliability. Methods: Therefore, this study is aimed: 1) to recognize the current status of trade secrets of MSDS in workplaces with both domestic manufacturers of chemical products and multinational corporations; 2) to make contributions to prevention of the industrial accidents by providing the accurate information of MSDS; 3) to improve the risk communication system related with chemicals; 4) to impress workers on the importance of right of known for MSDS. With the result we analyzed the status of trade secrets in MSDS in 73 companies, such as petrochemistry production, paint production, metal processing oil production, detergent production, and international company related with chemicals, we have found that 38,150 (45.5%) have the trade secrets parts in the total number of 83,832 in MSDS. Also, based on the 288 MSDS gathered by the Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute (OSHRI) from 2005 to 2009, 41.7% of the MSDS are classified into the trade secrets. Conclusions: Therefore, to procure an assurance system of MSDS, we suggest that a MSDS picking up and checking system be legislated in the Occupational Safety and Health Act to protect workers from the unidentified chemical hazards due to the secret trade of MSDS.
