In usual safety signs are final means to transmit hazard information so that the importance of them cannot be emphasized too much. Nevertheless, in Korea, few people are interested in functions of safety signs so that evaluation of safety signs are seldom committed. This research was conducted to evaluate and compare perceptional characteristics of safety signs, especially "Fall" signs, by Semantic Differential Method and Multi-dimensional Scaling Method, with undergraduate students as well as industrial workers. According to research results on several signs evaluated high through suggested procedure, action inducibility was different for students majoring in different sciences, but it had common elements in the sense of 'openness' or 'arrangements'. Besides, perceptional images on safety signs were mainly recognized with bases of 'arrangement' for student group and 'simplicity' for industrial workers, respectively, and their maps corresponded well with each other by partial rotating so that students and workers seemed to recognize safety signs with similar factors though their name might be different. However, since perceptional characteristics including image map, comprehensibility, and action inducibility were similar for student group whereas those were not for worker group, it was concluded that the test for action inducibility would be absolutely necessary for safety signs for workers' group.

This study purported to study the uses of information and communication technology (ICT) tools in their daily life among the undergraduate and graduate students majoring science and engineering. It also examined the purposes of the uses of the major ICT tools, the differences in their information technology uses between graduate and undergraduate students. The data were collected from 83 undergraduate and graduate students from four universities using content analysis of an observational logs and a survey questionnaire. The observational logs were collected using an instant message application available on a smart phone. Study results revealed desktop computers, laptop computers, and smart phones as the three most heavily used ICT tools among the participants and typical situations students use each of the three tools. There were also sharp distinctions between graduate and undergraduate students in their selection of the tools, and distinctions between work and non-work situations. The findings of this study can be used to redesign information services and systems for the scientists and engineers in the next generation.
Korea has pursued an aggressive policy of inviting more foreign-born students to its universities since the late 1990s in the wake of the globalization of education markets and its changing demographic structure. While increasingly more students from Asia come to Korea for study, more than half of the graduates return home upon graduation. Given the issues of brain drain, brain circulation, and knowledge transfer that are raised by such a high return rate, this paper examines the factors that frame the foreign students' decision on their post-graduation careers. By analyzing survey data, we report that Asian students majoring in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) are more likely to return than non-STEM majors. This suggests that Korea's aggressive policies of inviting foreign-born students have contributed to brain circulation and knowledge transfer between Korea and the other Asian countries. We also find that scholarships from Korean sources and positive attitudes toward Korean culture and life increase their inclination to stay in the country upon graduation. These findings, however, raise more questions than answers, since it becomes obvious that their post-graduation decisions are highly affected by what Korea as a society provides.
The purposes of this research are to develop Engineering Mathematics materials using the relations between Engineering Mathematics contents and not only pre-study contents but also major contents and to find the effect of the mathematics study which is applying them for students majoring in electronics. To accomplish the goals, I made list of Engineering Mathematics contents which is necessary to study electronics. Based on the list, I researched relations between Engineering Mathematics contents and not only pre-study contents but also major contents. After research, I selected some subjects which are related each other, developed study materials and examined responses to the materials. Then I analysed the effects on study attitude after used developed materials in my class. As a result, the major contents which was described in the introduction of the materials helped students to be motivated to study Engineering Mathematics and Pre-study contents described before Engineering Mathematics contents helped them to concentrate on studying Engineering Mathematics. Also it showed that developed study materials were effective in increasing self-confidence which is one attitude in the subcategories for Mathematics study.

The curriculum of programming education including algorithm has been recognized as a very important subject to many students majoring in natural sciences and engineering including electronic engineering and computer related departments. This study analyzed usability of the learning system of programming languages using basic algorithms so as for students to easily learn basic algorithm among the entire programming curriculum. The results show that the grade of learning achievement of experimental group using the learning system is 15 points higher than that of non-experimental group and the grade of interest, concentration, effectiveness, understanding, convenience, suitability, and attending a lecture in the next semester are 4 points or more of 5 points criterion.
With the program outcomes of 'the Accreditation of Engineering Education' in Korea, the acquisition and assessment of ethical attitudes as an engineer is emphasized these days. In this study, we surveyed and investigated the attitudes and ethical minds of college students majoring in information and communication engineering regarding their professional attitude and ethical behavior at present and in the future by assuming their hire in this industry. The average score of engineer ethics was 2.25 out of 5. Multi-variate regression found that the unethical attitudes of information and communication engineer were more distinct for students of older age, students with 'rude and insulting' attitudes, students who had not served in army, students who are not idealistic, and students who do not live with parents. The results provide educators with useful understandings related to the engineering ethics education program for college students.
A survey was conducted and analyzed for strengthening the employment competitiveness of engineering students. Questionnaires were conducted to students and graduates majoring in mechanical, civil engineering and computer science as well as to small and medium sized industries. It includes the level of satisfaction and requirement to recognize the situation of the students in metropolitan Seoul area. Survey results indicate that for undergraduates and graduates, knowledge of their own majors is most important. However, for industry, the most important factor is the ability of analysis and application, and their personalities. With the results of this survey, it is expected that these discrepancies between industries and students are reduced and the competitiveness of students is strengthened.

The new plan for the current computer engineering involved in education and research in the values of the major and one of the female students, and you can improve your major satisfaction and retention training and development assessment process is the point of need. in computer engineering majors can be linked to the process of targeted quantitative and qualitative research conducted by the results of major and career choices of students turned out to be a mismatch could result in the phenomenon of female engineering escape. How to study ICT in education for female students to computer engineering major regional, historical and social context should be re-designed to suit the characteristics and analysis of exposed female students majoring computer engineering from anxiety and weak organization that has a sense of belonging, and to offer the first and is the appropriate teaching methods seems to be.
At the K University level in the first semester of the 2022, regarding the courses opened as intensive completion-type major knowledge linking, under the name of 'Collage', 47 students were formed along with students majoring in electronic engineering (21 students) and included 26 students from 14 other majors. It was convergencly conducted as a 5-week completion-type independent course, and the results of responses to 10 items on the 5-point Likert scale questionnaire were summarized. The organized results were tested for four items (reliability, normality, correlation, average difference between 2 groups), and it was confirmed that there was a difference in learning satisfaction depending on the difficulty of the learning topic and the grade of the student. In addition, it was confirmed that more than 65% of the students responded with a positive evaluation of 'moderate' or higher in the five questionnaire items with high correlation.

For students majoring in Architecture or Architectural Engineering, describing a building with pictures and signs is equal to expressing his/her opinion with sentences and presentations. CAD (computer aided design) is a method of describing buildings, and is used practically in architecture-related companies. Many universities prescribe CAD instruction as a compulsory subject, and ABEEK (Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea) requires an introduction to CAD as a basic subject for visual expression. The Architectural Drawing and CAD class in the department of Architectural Engineering of J University is a 2-credit course, with 4 hours of lectures per week. Relative to other subjects, this is insufficient for practical study. Thus, to make up for this insufficient time, the class has adopted a Blended learning system that mixes off-line and on-line classes. The objective of this research is to introduce Blended learning, and to give a case study of the CAD class using Blended learning.
