수산해양계열 고등학생의 전공만족, 진로탐색 자기효능감 및 진로탐색행동의 구조적 관계 연구 (A Study on the Structural Equation Modeling of the Relationships among Major Satisfaction, Career Search Efficacy, and Career Exploration Behavior with Marine Science High School Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to find the structural relationships among major satisfaction, career search efficacy, and career exploration behavior with marine science high school students. For investigating this topic, 524 students were surveyed from the marine science high schools. In order to find out the structural relationships among major satisfaction, career search efficacy, and career exploration behavior, structural equation modeling was used. Followings were the results of the research: (a) Major satisfaction effected significantly on the career search efficacy. (b) Career search efficacy effected significantly on the career exploration behavior. (C) There was not significant direct cause and effects from major satisfaction to career exploration behavior, but indirect effect was significant. Some recommendations were suggested for increasing career exploration behavior of marine science high school students.

치위생과 학생의 전공만족도, 진로탐색효능감이 진로탐색 행동에 미치는 영향 (Effect of satisfaction in major and career search efficacy on career search behavior in dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this research is to identify the effect of Dental Hygienic students' level of satisfaction towards their major and sense of career exploration efficacy on their career exploration behavior so that the key findings of this research will help the university students to explore career related to their major and to assume rational attitude towards their career path. Methods : The study was conducted targeting 450 university students who are studying in the Department of Dental Hygienic at the four universities located in Daegu, Gyeongsangbuk-do and Chungcheongbuk-do. Data collection was carried out using the self-administered questions based on the use of structured survey questionnaire, and analysis was conducted using frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Results : 1. Total grade of the Dental Hygienic students' level of satisfaction towards their major was $3.36{\pm}.49$ points, while total grade of the sense of career exploration efficacy was $3.06{\pm}.46$ points. In case of the career exploration behavior, the total grade was $2.76{\pm}.53$ points. 2. In case of the level of satisfaction towards their major, there was a significant difference depending on the class, grade and motivation for admission. As for the sense of career exploration efficacy and career exploration behavior, there was a significant difference depending on grade. 3. Sense of career exploration efficacy and career exploration behavior demonstrated level of satisfaction towards their major manifested positive correlation. Sense of career exploration efficacy manifested positive correlation career exploration behavior. 4. As for the elements that affect Dental Hygienic students' career exploration behavior, they were level of satisfaction towards their major and sense of career exploration efficacy, and the explanatory power was 19.0%. Conclusions : It should be necessary to study the elements that affect Dental Hygienic students' career exploration behavior in greater depth using diverse methods and information in order to increase sense of career exploration efficacy so that the individual Dental Hygienic students can engage in detailed career exploration behavior for the sake of their career path.

  • In recent times, STEM graduates are confronting a decline in employment rates influenced by economic, social, cultural, and policy-related factors. Career decisions are closely linked to education, college experiences, and university settings. To comprehend the reasons behind the decline in STEM employment, it is essential to explore the relationships among these factors. This study aims to comprehensively examine differences in career motivation and career exploration behavior among 2,393 STEM undergraduates in Korea. Additionally, factors affecting career motivation and career exploration behavior were investigated. The findings indicate significant differences in perceived career motivation and career exploration behavior based on individual backgrounds and university characteristics. And analyzing the data, 37.8% of career motivation is explained by contextual supports, career barriers, individual backgrounds (grade, GPA), university characteristics (major fields, location), field to enter after graduation, and timing of job preparation. For career exploration behavior, 30.1% is explained by contextual supports, career barriers, individual backgrounds (gender, grade, GPA), university characteristics (major field, location), field to enter after graduation, and timing of job preparation. Practical implications underscore the need for tailored educational and policy support, considering individual backgrounds and university characteristics, to effectively address challenges faced by STEM graduates in the evolving employment landscape.

  • Purpose: This study was investigated the effects of culinary and foodservice major selection motive and work value on the major satisfaction, career search efficacy and career exploration behavior of college students. Methods: Survey comprising total 53 questions including 8 for major selection motive, 8 for work value, 6 for major satisfaction, 20 for career search efficacy, 5 for career exploration was distributed to 400 college students majoring in culinary or foodservice. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression were conducted using SPSS Statistics (ver. 21.0). Organization of concept and analyses of the relationship between variables based on the advanced study and database is essential. Research model based on the theory and analysis of the extracted data was established; and subsequently, the proof relations between the variables were analysed. Results: The study results indicated that, only intrinsic work values among personal motivation and work values were significant. This is because personal motivation and intrinsic work values are related to subjects' aptitudes, interests, talents, and future professions when students choose their majors. Therefore, interest, abilities, achievement, high understanding, and satisfactory schooling are important factors. Conclusion: This study has newly expanded the research on career search behavior to include psychological factors and cognitive and attitudinal factors. We also determined competitive operations that enhance students' major satisfaction, career search efficiency, and career search behavior.

커리어포트폴리오를 활용한 진로탐색 프로그램이 전문계 고등학생의 자기효능감 및 진로정체감에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of a Career Exploration Program Using Career Portfolio on Self-efficacy and Career Identity of Vocational High School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of a career exploration program using career portfolio for vocational high school students and suggest ideas for making a decision their career and occupation. The number of subjects in this study were 50 high school students in Busan metropolitan city among which 25 were assigned for the experimental group and 25 in the control group. The career exploration program utilizing career portfolio in this study was composed of 12 sessions utilizing the career portfolio. This program was based on Jeong et al.'s career development program(2005) for high school students and Choi's career exploration program using internet(2005). The instruments of this study were self-efficacy scale and career identity scale. The average, standard deviation and the differences between the pre and post-test were calculated and processed by SPSS WIN 14.0. The major findings of this study can be summarized as follows: First, the career exploration program using career portfolio was effective to enhance significantly the level of the self-efficacy of vocational high school students. Second, the career exploration program using career portfolio was also effective to enhance career identity.

  • 연구는 진로탐색 교육이 취업불안, 진로성숙도 그리고 진로의사결정에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 실시하였다. 광주광역시에 소재한 B실업계고등학교에 재학 중인 비즈쿨 창업교육을 받는 학생 65명을 선정한 후 각각 실험집단 30명과 통제집단 35명으로 구분하였다. 매주 1회 총 9회기의 진로탐색 프로그램을 실시하였으며, 본 연구에서 나타난 주요 결과를 요약하여 제시하면 다음과 같다. 진로탐색 교육에 참여한 실험집단은 참여하지 않은 통제집단보다 취업불안이 감소되었고, 진로성숙도와 진로의사결정이 향상되었다.

항공서비스 관련학과 학생들의 전공만족도가 진로탐색행동에 미치는 영향에 관한 융합 연구 : 2년제 대학과 4년제 대학의 비교를 중심으로 (The Effect of the Satisfaction with major on Career Exploration Behavior of the Students in the department of Airline Service: Focused on the comparison between 2year and 4year colleges)

  • 본 연구는 항공서비스 관련학과 학생들을 대상으로 전공만족도가 진로탐색행동에 미치는 영향과 두 변수 간 관계에서 학제에 따른 차이가 있는지 실증 분석하였다. 연구대상은 충청남 북도에 위치한 2년제와 4년제 대학의 항공관련학과 재학생 550명이며, 자료분석은 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, 다중회귀분석, 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 전공만족도의 하위 요인 중 수업교과만족은 자기탐색 1개 요인에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 관계만족과 학과자부심은 직업탐색과 자기탐색 2개 요인에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 전공만족도가 진로탐색행동에 미치는 영향은 2년제와 4년제 대학생에 따른 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 대학생들의 전공만족도 향상 방안을 제시하였으며, 2년제 대학생과 4년제 대학생은 전공만족도와 진로탐색행동에 대한 인식의 차이가 있으므로 진로 지도 시 서로 다르게 접근해야 함을 시사한다.

진로교육이 간호 대학생의 진로발달에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Career Education on Career Development for Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to build the career education course for nursing students' career development and to identify the effects of the education. Method: The study used a one-group pre- and post-test design and the surveys were carried out from April to June, 2011. The participants were 71 undergraduate seniors of department of nursing in E university. The data were obtained via questionnaires survey before and after taking the course. The collected data were analyzed by paired t-test using SPSS 19. Results: 88.7% of the subjects responded being satisfied with their major. The scores of career search efficacy (t=-2.57, p=.012), career exploration (t=-4.62, p<.001), and career adaptability (t=-3.51, p=.001) showed statistically significant improvement after the education. Networking (t=-2.66, p=.010) and personal exploration efficacy (t=-2.89, p=.005) showed statistically significant difference between pre- and post-test. Between two subgroup of career exploration, only the environment exploration (t=-5.92, p<.001) significantly improved. However, there was no significant difference in career identity. Conclusion: From this study, career education showed significant effects on the career search efficacy, career exploration, and career adaptability of nursing students. These findings suggest that career education as a subject would be an efficient way for career development of nursing students.

대학생의 자기주도성, 학습몰입, 진로결정효능감과 진로탐색행동 간의 관계 구조분석 (The Analysis on the Causal Model between Self-directedness, Learning Flow, Career Decision and Self-efficacy, and Career Exploration Behavior of Undergraduate Students)

  • 본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 자기주도성, 학습몰입, 진로결정효능감과 진로탐색행동 간의 관계 구조를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 남녀 대학생 604명을 대상으로 자기보고식 설문조사를 하였고, 구조방정식을 활용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학습몰입과 진로결정효능감은 진로탐색행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 선행변인으로 밝혀졌으나, 자기주도성이 진로탐색행동에 미치는 직접적인 영향은 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자기주도성은 학습몰입과 진로결정효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 진로결정효능감과 학습몰입은 자기주도성과 진로탐색행동의 관계를 완전 매개함으로써 자기주도성이 진로탐색행동에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특정간접효과(specific indirect effect)의 크기를 검토하였을 때, 자기주도성의 간접효과는 진로결정효능감을 매개하는 경로가 학습몰입을 매개하는 경로보다 진로탐색행동에 미치는 영향력이 더 큰 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 대학생의 진로탐색행동을 증진시키기 위한 논의와 후속연구를 위한 제언이 이루어졌다.

문헌정보학 전공의 진로탐색을 위한 애자일 기반 데이터 분석 프레임워크 (Agile-based Data Analysis Framework for Career Exploration in Library and Information Science)

  • 문헌정보학 전공자는 사서직 공무원, 대학도서관, 공공도서관 등 도서관 분야로 취업하는 경향이 있다. 반면, 최근의 정보기술 발전과 직업관의 변화는 문헌정보학 전공자의 진로를 다양한 영역으로 확대하고 있다. 진로탐색에 대한 연구는 대학의 전공 또는 직업군에 따라 다양한 방식으로 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 문헌정보학 전공자의 지속적인 진로탐색을 위해 애자일 방식으로 설문조사와 데이터 분석을 위한 프레임워크를 제안하고, 문헌정보학 전공자의 진로탐색 조사에 대한 결과를 분석한다. 연구 결과에 따르면, 문헌정보학 전공자는 사회변화에 따라 급여, 가치관에 대한 변화가 있고, 사서직에 한정되지 않고 다양한 직종을 희망하는 경향이 나타나고 있다. 이런 맥락에서 문헌정보학 전공자의 진로탐색을 위한 효과적인 지원과 지속적인 연구가 필요하다.
