  • In this paper, we consider the problem of applying NEMO in PMIPv6, and propose a method to support network mobility. When an MR enters a PMIPv6 domain, an MAG recognizes the MR to access using the BU message. And the MAG makes a tunnel between the MAG and the MR. The MR do not make tunnel fundamentally except for handover. Therefore, the PMIPv6 protocol needs to modify the original algorithm and the BCE data filed. However, the proposed method can use NEMO without protocol modification. To show verification, we implement our proposed algorithm with added BCE data filed using C program, and configure a testbed network. Through a network connectivity procedure, we can see that our proposed method can support network mobility within the PMIPv6 network.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel MAS algorithm to reduce the amount of signaling and data traffics. To notify an MIPv6 host of the proposed operation, we design a new binding registration function into the MAG, and suggest the modified RS and RA messages. The binding registration in the MAG instead of the LMA is accomplished to support the PMIPv6, whereas a 1-bit N flag in the RS and RA message indicates where the MAG supports the PMIPv6 or not. Our proposed algorithm has the advantage for MIPv6 hosts in the PMIPv6 network in the viewpoints of network utilization and performance. To show the verification and better performance of the MAS algorithm, we evaluate the amount of traffic and its related performance, and compares those with performance of the normal PMIPv6. These results show that our proposed algorithm can operate efficiently and give better performance for MIPv6 hosts in the PMIPv6 network.

  • The Hilbert transform performs a role to transform band pass signals into low pass signals in wireless communication systems. The operation of Hilbert transform is based on a convolution process which is required adding and multiplying calculations. When the Hilbert transform is designed and hardware-implemented at gate level, the adding and multiplying operation requires a high power consumption and a occupation of wide area on a chip. So the results of adding and multiplying operation cause to degrade the performance of implemented system. In this paper, the new Hilbert transformer is proposed, which has a low hardware complexity by application of MAG(Minimum Adder Graph) algorithm. The proposed Hilbert transformer was simulated in ISE environment of Xilinx and showed the reduction of hardware complexity comparing with the number of gate in the conventional Hilbert transformer.

  • This paper proposes DDPT(Dynamic Data Protection Technique) which solves the problem of private information exposure occurring in a dynamic database environment. The DDPT in this paper generates the MAG(Multi-Attribute Generalization) rules using multi-attributes generalization algorithm, and the EC(equivalence class) satisfying the k-anonymity according to the MAG rules. Whenever data is changed, it reconstructs the EC according to the MAC rules, and protects the identification exposure which is caused by the EC change. Also, it measures the information loss rates of the EC which satisfies the ${\ell}$-diversity. It keeps data accuracy by selecting the EC which is less than critical value and enhances private information protection.

  • Recently the automatization and the robotization of the arc welding industry is promoted and also the improvement of the welding quality and the work efficiency is required strongly. In this paper, special welding current waveform control algorithm is developed for less spatter and improvement of welding performance in the high speed and low arc voltage range. And the output control and the short circuit waveform control to the varition of the welding is studied by appling the algorithm to the power source for pulse arc welding.

  • The accuracy of CCD observations obtained at the Korean 1.8m telescope has been studied. Seventeen comparison stars in the vicinity of the cataclysmic variable BG CMi have been measured. The 'artificial' star has been used instead of the 'control' star, what made possible to increase accuracy estimates by a factor of 1.3-2.1 times for 'good' and 'cloudy' nights, respectively. The algorithm of iterative determination of accuracy and weights of few comparison stars contributing to the artificial star, has been presented. The accuracy estimates for 13-mag stars are around $0.^m002$ mag for exposure times of 30 sec.

  • We present newly discovered dwarf galaxy candidates in deep and wide-field images of NGC 1291 obtained with KMTNet. Through a visual inspection, we find ~ 13 candidates, for which central surface brightness ranges from ${\mu}_{0,R}{\sim}22.5$ to $26.5mag\;arcsec^{-1}$. Adopting the distance to NGC 1291, the candidate dwarfs are brighter than $M_R=-12.5mag$ and their effective radii range from 350 pc to 1.4 kpc. Structural and photometric properties of dwarf candidates near NGC 1291 appears to be consistent with those of ordinary dwarf galaxies in nearby galaxies. We conduct the imaging simulation in order to find an optimal way to detect dwarf galaxies in KMTNet images and to test the completeness of our detection algorithm. We plan to apply this method to deep KMTNet images of other nearby galaxies obtained through KMTNet Nearby Galaxy Survey (KNGS).

  • This paper proposes a generalized regression neural network (GRNN) based algorithm for data interpolation and design optimization of brushless dc (BLDC) motor. The procedure makes use of magnet length, stator slot opening and air gap length as design variables. Cogging torque and average torque are treated as performance indices. The optimal design necessitates mitigating the cogging torque and maximizing the average torque by varying design variables. The data set for interpolation and ensuing design optimisation using GRNN is obtained by modeling a standard BLDC motor using finite element analysis (FEA) tool MagNet 7.1.1. The performance indices of the standard motor obtained using FEA are validated with an experimental model and an analytical method. The optimal design is authenticated using particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm and the performance indices of the optimal design obtained using GRNN is validated using FEA. The results indicate the suitability of GRNN as an interpolation and design optimization tool for a BLDC motor.
