  • In this paper, we present some common fixed point theorems for two pairs of weakly compatible self-mappings on multiplicative metric spaces satisfying a generalized Meir-Keeler type contractive condition. The results obtained in this paper extend, improve and generalize some well known comparable results in literature.

  • We present ${\alpha}$-type rational F-contractions in metric-like spaces, and respective fixed and common fixed point results for weakly ${\alpha}$-admissible mappings. Useful examples illustrate the effectiveness of the presented results. As applications, we obtain sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions of a certain type of integral equations followed by examples of nonlinear fractional differential equations that are verified numerically.

  • In this paper, we prove existence of best proximity points for 2-convex contraction, 2-sided contraction, and M-weakly cyclic 2-convex contraction mappings in the setting of complete strongly regular generalized modular metric spaces that generalize many results in the literature.

  • For a Riemannian manifold $(M^n, g)$ we consider the space $V(M^n, g)$ of all smooth functions on $M^n$ whose Hessian is proportional to the metric tensor $g$. It is well-known that if $M^n$ is a space form then $V(M^n)$ is of dimension n+2. In this paper, conversely, we prove that if $V(M^n)$ is of dimension $\ge{n+1}$, then $M^n$ is a Riemannian space form.

  • The concepts of new classes of mappings are introduced in the spaces which are more general space than the usual metric spaces. The existence and uniqueness of common fixed points and fixed point results are established in the setting of complete complex valued b-metric spaces. An illustration is given by establishing the existence of solution of periodic differential equations in the framework of a complete complex valued b-metric spaces.

  • In this paper we shall explicitly calculate the formula of the algebraic presentation of an embedding of the Teichmiiller space ${\Im}(M)$ into the Goldman space g(M). From this algebraic presentation, we shall show that the Goldman's length parameter on g(M) is an isometric extension of the Fenchel-Nielsen's length parameter on ${\Im}(M)$.

  • Let(X, $\Im$) be a probabilistic metric space with a t-norm. Common fixed point theorems and convergence theorems generalizing the results of Ćirić, Fisher, Sehgal, Istrătescu-Săcuiu and others are proved for three mappings P,S,T on X satisfying $F_{Pu, Pv}(qx){\geq}min\left{F_{Su,Tv}(x),F_{Pu,Su}(x),F_{Pv,Tv}(x),F_{Pu,Tv}(2x),F_{Pv,Su}(2x)\right}$ for every $u, v {\in}X$, all x>0 and some $q{\in}(0, 1)$.   • Let M(X) be the space of all pointwise multipliers of Banach space X. We will show that, for each $\alpha>1$, $M(\mathfrak{B}_\alpha)=M(\mathfrak{B}_{\alpha,0})=H^\infty{(B)}$. We will also show that, for each $0<{\alpha}<1$, $M(\mathfrak{B}_\alpha)$ and $M(\mathfrak{B}_{\alpha,0})$ are Banach algebras. It is established that certain inclusion relationships exist between the weighted Bloch spaces and holomorphic Besov spaces.

On characterizations of real hypersurfaces of type B in a complex hyperbolic space

  • A complex n-dimensional Kaehlerian manifold of constant holomorphic sectional curvature c is called a comples space form, which is denoted by $M_n(c)$. A complete and simply connected complex space form consists of a complex projective space $P_nC$, a complex Euclidean space $C^n$ or a complex hyperbolic space $H_nC$, according as c > 0, c = 0 or c < 0. The induced almost contact metric structure of a real hypersurface M of $M_n(c)$ is denoted by $(\phi, \zeta, \eta, g)$.
