  • A module M is called a simple-direct-injective module if, whenever A and B are simple submodules of M with A ≅ B and B is a direct summand of M, then A is a direct summand of M. Some new characterizations of these modules are proved. The structure of simple-direct-injective modules over a commutative Dedekind domain is fully determined. Also, some relevant counterexamples are indicated to show that a left simple-direct-injective ring need not be right simple-direct-injective.

  • An experimental study was performed to investigate adiabatic wall temperature and heat transfer coefficient around a module cooled by forced air flow. The flow angle of attack to the module were 0$^{\circ}$and 45$^{\circ}$. In the first method, inlet air flow(1~7m/s) and input power.(3, 5, 7W) were varied after a heated module was placed on an adiabatic floor(320$\times$550$\times$1㎣). An adiabatic wall temperature was determinated to use liquid crystal film. In the second method to determinate heat transfer coefficient, inlet air flow(1~7m/s) and the heat flux of rubber heater(0.031~0.062W/$m^2$) were varied after an adiabatic module was placed on rubber heater covering up an adiabatic floor. Additional information is visualized by an oil-film method of the surface flow on the floor and the module. Plots of $T_{ad}$ and $h_{ad}$ show marked effects of flow development from the module and dispersion of thermal wake near the module. Certain key features of the data set obtained by this investigation may serve as a benchmark for thermal-design codes based on CFD.

  • Let (A,m) be a Noetherian local ring and M a finitely generated A-module. The notion of pseudo Buchsbaum module was introduced in [3] as an extension of that of Buchsbaum module. In this paper, we give a condition for the idealization A⋉M of M over A to be pseudo Buchsbaum.

  • To improve and downsize the KIOM-Pulse Analysis System(KIOM-PAS), which has been traditionally used in clinical trials, a miniaturized PAS(M-PAS) with a pneumatic pump has been developed. M-PAS is composed of a measurement module and an arm-mounting module, on which an arm can be placed. The measurement module is equipped with a pressing component and sensor, which is a wearable wristband. The arm-mounting module includes a pneumatic motor, data acquisition board and valves. In addition, the measurement module is divided into a fixing module of band type for attachment to a pulsation site and a sensing module, which includes a sensor and a tube. The fixing module and sensing module are constructed independently, and the detachable fastening method improves the posture convenience of the subject during measurement. M-PAS has been reduced to 1/6 the size of KIOM-PAS, and the measurement time is shortened by 22%. Using a simulator, the difference between the waveforms measured by the two devices exhibited a high degree of similarity of within 3.65%. M-PAS represents improvements in size and convenience compared with KIOM-PAS, and it is expected to be widely used in clinics in the future because it improves the attachment method of the fixing module.

  • 5 V/500 mA transless type power module was designed by using a semiconductor switching technique for a small-sized electric power source. It used voltage drop type chopper method, and is composed of switching circuit, control circuit, voltage detect circuit, and constant voltage circuit. The switching power module which is designed in this study, showed load regulation of 0.2 V, line regulation of 0.1 V, output ripple of 85 mVp-p, switching frequency of 64.7 kHz, maximum power efficiency of 58 %, and satisfied its reliability and EMC test.

  • In this paper we show that the flat property of a left R-module does not imply (carry over) to the corresponding inverse polynomial module. Then we define an induced inverse polynomial module as an R[x]-module, i.e., given an R-linear map f : M $\rightarrow$ N of left R-modules, we define $N+x^{-1}M[x^{-1}]$ as a left R[x]-module. Given an exact sequence of left R-modules $$0\;{\rightarrow}\;N\;{\rightarrow}\;E^0\;{\rightarrow}\;E^1\;{\rightarrow}\;0$$, where $E^0$, $E^1$ injective, we show $E^1\;+\;x^{-1}E^0[[x^{-1}]]$ is not an injective left R[x]-module, while $E^0[[x^{-1}]]$ is an injective left R[x]-module. Make a left R-module N as a left R[x]-module by xN = 0. We show inj $dim_R$ N = n implies inj $dim_{R[x]}$ N = n + 1 by using the induced inverse polynomial modules and their properties.

  • In this paper, we designed bluetooth module using 2.4 GHz ISM band. Bluetooth is wireless networking solution that connects PDA, cellular phone, printer, PC, etc each other. We integrated digital and RF part in one module. As a result, we can make low power consumption module that enables long battery life. In addition, we enlarged maximum available range of our module from 10m to l00m. This module satisfies bluetooth specification 1.0.

  • Let R be a commutative ring and let M be a GV -torsionfree R-module. Then M is said to be a $\omega$-module if $Ext_R^1$(R/J, M) = 0 for any J $\in$ GV (R), and the w-envelope of M is defined by $M_{\omega}$ = {x $\in$ E(M) | Jx $\subseteq$ M for some J $\in$ GV (R)}. In this paper, $\omega$-modules over commutative rings are considered, and the theory of $\omega$-operations is developed for arbitrary commutative rings. As applications, we give some characterizations of $\omega$-Noetherian rings and Krull rings.

  • The following statements for an infra-Krull domain $R$ are shown to be equivalent: (1) $R$ is a Krull domain; (2) for any essentially finite $w$-module $M$ over $R$, the torsion submodule $t(M)$ of $M$ is a direct summand of $M$; (3) for any essentially finite $w$-module $M$ over $R$, $t(M){\cap}pM=pt(M)$, for all maximal $w$-ideal $p$ of $R$; (4) $R$ satisfies the $w$-radical formula; (5) the $R$-module $R{\oplus}R$ satisfies the $w$-radical formula.
