  • The Bayesian nonparametric estimation of two uniformly stochastically ordered distributions is studied. We propose a restricted Dirichlet Process. Among many types of restriction we consider only uniformly stochastic ordering in this paper since the computation of integrals is relatively easy. An explicit expression of the posterior distribution is given. When square loss function is used the posterior distribution can be obtained by easy integration using some computer program such as Mathematica.

  • Let $X_1, \cdot, X_p$ be p independent random variables, where each $X_i$ has a distribution belonging to one parameter discrete power series distribution. The problem is to simultaneously estimate the unknown parameters under an asymmetric loss. Several new classes of dominating estimators are obtained by solving certain difference inequality.

  • This article deals with the problem of estimating parameters of Burr Type XII distribution, on the basis of a general progressive Type II censored sample using Bayesian viewpoints. The maximum likelihood estimator does not admit closed form but explicit sharp lower and upper bounds are provided. Assuming squared error loss and linex loss functions, Bayes estimators of the parameter k, the reliability function, and the failure rate function are obtained in closed form. Finally, a simulation study is also included.

  • Queueing models are good models for fragments of communication systems and networks, so their investigation is interesting for theory and applications. Theses queues may play an important role for the validation of different decomposition algorithms designed for investigating more general queueing networks. So, in this paper we illustrate that the batch size distribution affects the loss probability, which is the main performance measure of a finite buffer queues.

  • This paper presents the feasibility of the assumption that incident sound to panels might have a Gaussian distribution, instead of the well-known uniform distribution in the analysis of sound transmission loss of panels. Being compared with the latter, it seems that the former is physically more concrete. To prove the assumption, the problems with diffuse fields in reverberation room are considered by case study and comparisions of the prediction with the measurement of sound transmission loss of walls are performed. The results show good agreement between the two values.

  • In this paper, After the Paris climate conference (COP21) in December 2015, 195 countries adopted the first-ever universal, legally binding global climate deal. As sustained increase of renewable energy and digital load, to implemented and operated Microgrid system's power distribution by DC power distribution. This reduce the loss of power conversion step occurring based on the AC power distribution system and eliminate the loss caused by the reactive power in power distribution system. For this reason, DC Microgrid will be extended to support evidence of National energy policies, Microgrid project status, DC distribution status, and to suggest process of DC power distribution in Microgrid construction project.

  • Network reconfiguration in distribution systems is realized by changing the status of sectiona1izing switches, and is usually done for loss minimization or load balancing in the system This parer presents an approach for loss minization in distribution systems using reactive tabu search. Tabu search attempts to determine a better solution in the manner of a greatest-descent algorithm, but it can not give any guarantee for the convergence property. Reactive tabu search can give convergence property by using reaction and escape mechanism. Therefore, it can find global optimal solution regardless of initial system configuration. To demonstrate the validity of the proposed algorithm, numerical calculations are carried out the 32 bus system models.

  • The High-frequency (30 ∼ 120 ㎑) bottom reflection loss at rough water-sediment interface is affected by the gram size distribution of the sediments. The roughness of the bottom surface is represented by "acoustical roughness. g/sub R/" The grain size of sandy sediments is g/sub R/∼O(1) and the dependence as a function of frequency. We suggest the modified bottom reflection loss model (HYBRL model , HanYang university Bottom Reflection Loss model) that include in the deviation of the reflection loss as a function of the grain size distribution and frequency dependence. And bottom reflection loss model of frequency dependence and deviation of bottom properties is verified by water tank and field experiments.

  • In this paper we have proposed a new loss function, namely, non-linear exponential(NLINEX) loss function, which is quite asymmetric in nature. We obtained the Bayes estimator under exponential(LINEX) and squared error(SE) loss functions. Moreover, a numerical comparison among the Bayes estimators of power function distribution under SE, LINEX, and NLINEX loss function have been made.

  • Consider a p-variate ($p{\geq}4$) normal distribution with mean ${\theta}$ and identity covariance matrix. Using a simple property of noncentral chi square distribution, the generalized Bayes estimators dominating the Lindley estimator under quadratic loss are given based on the methods of Brown, Brewster and Zidek for estimating a normal variance. This result can be extended the cases where covariance matrix is completely unknown or ${\Sigma}={\sigma}^2I$ for an unknown scalar ${\sigma}^2$.
