Performance Analysis of Group Scheduling with Look-Ahead Algorithm for Optical Burst Switching Networks (광 버스트 스위칭 네트워크에서 Look-Ahead 알고리즘을 적용한 그룰 스케줄링의 성능 분석)

  • There has been proposed an algorithm to reduce data burst processing delay in group scheduling in core nodes of optical burst switching networks. Since, in this algorithm, look-up tables containing all the void time information in scheduling windows are generated as soon as the primary group scheduling session terminates, it becomes faster to reassign dropped data bursts to proper voids in different data channels by referring to the tables. The group scheduling with this algorithm showed almost the same channel utilization as the one without using the algorithm but performed a little better in both burst loss probability and wavelength conversion rate. On the other hand, per-burst processing time has been reduced dramatically in the load region of higher than 0.8, showing a factor of 2.1 reduction at 0.9.

  • In this paper, We are composed the position recognition and speed control using the moving robot in the shield Room with a RF Module and Ultrasonic Sensors. Double look up tables are selected a reference value/duty ratio. The moving robot with the dual fuzzy rules which can decrease a Conversion time than basic fuzzy control rules at start point and curve region. Also, a changing times of double look up table are rise at specific points b1,c1,d1 in the e-${\Delta}e$ phase plane and the one of the look up table is used which for increase rising time at transition area, the other used for rapidly conversion to the reference value. We verified that a dual fuzzy control rules get the good response compare with the basic fuzzy control rule.

  • This paper presents a method of designing optimal integer- and fractional-order proportional-integral-derivative (FOPID) controllers for a boost converter to gain a set of favorable characteristics at various operating points. A Pareto-based multi-objective optimization approach called strength Pareto evolutionary algorithm (SPEA) is used to obtain fast and low overshoot start-up and dynamic responses and switching stability. The optimization approach generates a set of optimal gains called Pareto set, which corresponds to a Pareto front. The Pareto front is a set of optimal results for objective functions. These results provide designers with a trade-off look-up table, in which they can easily choose any of the optimal gains based on design requirements. The SPEA also overcomes the difficulties of tuning the FOPID controller, which is an extension to the classic integer-order PID controllers and potentially promises better results. The proposed optimized FOPID controller provides an excellent start-up response and the desired dynamic response. This paper presents a detailed comparison of the optimum integer- and the fractional-order PID controllers. Extensive simulation and experimental results prove the superiority of the proposed design methodology to achieve a wide set of desired technical goals.

  • This paper describes the design of fuzzy logic controller for underwater vehicle actuator with high hydroload torque disturbance. For real-time processing of the fuzzy rule, the look-up tables including coarse mode and fine mode are used instead of inference engine process. Computer simulations are done in order to analyze the performance of the proposed algorithm and the very useful results are shown to us by comparing with the existing controller.

Fuzzy Logic Control for a Simplified Trawl System (간략화된 트롤 시스템의 퍼지제어)

  • This paper describes the model of a simplified trawl system and a control method by using fuzzy algorithm in controlling the depth of trawl gear. Fuzzy logic control rules are sets of linguistic expression that are used by an experienced performer in real operation. For real time processing of the control rules, the look-up tables are used. Computer simulation results indicate that the proposed fuzzy controller shows fast response with minimum steady-state error and robustness properties to the simulated disturbance.

  • The IEEE 802.15.4 wireless sensor network is composed of the unique sensor devices to monitor and collect physical or environmental conditions. The interests in a positioning technology, which is one of the environment monitoring technologies, are gradually increased according to the development of the sensor technology and IT infrastructure. Generally, it is difficult for the positioning system using RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indication) based implementation to get accurate position because of obstacles, RF wave's delay and multipath. Therefore, in this paper, we investigate the improved positioning technologies for RSSI-based positioning system. This paper also proposes the enhanced scheme to improve the accuracy of positioning system by applying the Gaussian Filter algorithm, which is widely used for enhancing the performance of image processing system. For the implementation of proposed scheme, we firstly make a look-up tables, which represent the distance between target node and master node and corresponding RSSI value of each target node which are recorded as an average value after investigating the characteristics of attenuation of transmitted signal By applying the pre-determined look-up tables and Gaussian Filtering in the proposed scheme, we analyzed the positioning performance and compared with other conventional RSSI-based positioning algorithms.

  • In this Paper, we propose an optimized method of hardware design based on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) to detect rotated angle of high definition image about Extreme Contour Point (ECP) algorithm with moving video image could be not happened to translation motion, but also physical rotation motion. It was evaluated by XC7Z020 xc7z020-3clg400 FPGA board by using xilinx 14.2 tool. The much well-known method, the Coordinate Rotation Digital Integrated Computation (CORDIC) is an algorithm to estimate rotated angle between point and point. Through the result both ECP and CORDIC, our proposed design are confirmed to have similar operating speed of about 4ns with CORDIC. However, it is verified to have high performance result in terms of the hardware cost, is much better than CORDIC with cost reduction of registers and Look Up Tables (LUTs) of 108% and 91%, respectively.

  • This paper reports the development and performance evaluation of a backend system for real-time IVUS (Intravascular Ultrasound) imaging. The developed backend system was designed to minimize the amount of logic and memory usage by means of efficient LUTs (Look-up Tables), and it was implemented in a single FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) without using external memory. This makes it possible to implement the backend system that is less expensive, smaller, and lighter. The accuracy of the backend system implemented was evaluated by comparing the output of the FPGA with the result computed using a MATLAB program implemented in the same way as the VHDL (VHSIC Hardware Description Language) code. Based on the result of ex-vivo experiment using rabbit artery, the developed backend system was found to be suitable for real-time intravascular ultrasound imaging.

  • 본 논문에서는 OFDM 시스템의 송신기에서 사용되는 선형 필터와 고출력 증폭기의 결합에 의한 \"기억성을 갖는 비선형 왜곡\"을 실제 하드웨어 구현에 적합하게 적은 계산량으로 보상할 수 있는 참조 테이블(look up table; LUT) 기반의 사전왜곡기를 제안한다. LUT를 이용하는 사전왜곡기들은 이미 많이 연구되었으나, 본 논문에서는 다중 입력/단일 출력 형태의 기억성을 갖는 비선형 왜곡을 작은 크기의 LUT를 이용하여 효율적으로 보상한다는 점에서 큰 차이가 있다. 제안 방법에서는 먼저 기억성이 없는 고출력 증폭기만이 존재할 때의 사전왜곡기를 우리가 이미 제안한 고정점 반복 사전왜곡기 알고리즘에 기반하여 LUT로 구현하고, 여기에 선형 역 시스템을 결합하여 기억성을 갖는 비선형 왜곡을 보상한다. 실제 구현 가능성 검토를 위해 제안된 사전왜곡기와 16-QAM, 256-IFFT/FFT OFDM 시스템 기저대역 모뎀을 TMS320C30 DSP를 이용하여 구현하였으며, 실험 결과 작은 크기의 LUT를 이용하여도 원래의 고정점 반복 사전왜곡기에 비해 매우 적은 계산량을 요구하면서 동일한 성능을 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다.있음을 확인하였다.

Deriving the Fourier Transforms of Pulse Signals Through the Look-up Tables (찾아보기 목록에 의한 고차 펄스의 푸리에 변환법)

  • This paper proposes a novel method for deriving the Fourier transform pairs of high order pulses given in a generalized form. Primarily, modifying the PRS system model, we establish a new model which simplifies the process of Fourier analysis of the n-th order pulse signal, resulting in a representative relationship. In succession, we present the Frame Formula which plays a role of substituent for the parameters in table look-up procedures. Each look-up table contains all the parameters needed to obtain the Fourier transform of the corresponding pulse of any order. Regarding the amount of calculations and the complexity of procedures required to derive the transforms of pulse signals, analytically or numerically, this method is more compact and timesaving than conventional methods. When pulse has a much narrow width of equivalently higher the order of several pulses, the method presented here acts to the best of its true merit.
