  • Culture means a lifestyle realizing a definite object or ideal. Each local special culture is enormous in value as a local culture inheritance. If it is developed a local culture products representing local culture, it can perform an important role on one of the strategies for revitalizing local economy. One of the typical cultures in Kyung-Nam is the Gaya culture. The most characteristic of the Gaya culture is powerful iron culture and lots of cultural properties have been founding as relics. Judging from a lot of iron relics, we can figure out a high level of iron manufacturing technology. I studied focussing on the plasticity of Gaya relics and collected base materials for developing local cultural goods, using the motif of Gaya culture with excellent aesthetic consciousness. I classfied Gaya relics into a crown style, jewelry, harnessry, weapons, armor, earthenware, and considered its characteristic of the plastic arts, based on the preceding studies and document data. There exists natural, moderate, polished, indigenous, simple, rhythmical, delicate, florid, technical, symbolical, strong, diverse, naive beauty in the plastic characteristic of Gaya relics. Gaya culture with the special excellence of aesthetic resources, is worthy enough to be recreated as local cultural goods. Variable and special cultural fashion-products with the distinctive feature of Gaya culture need to be developed without delay.

  • This article concerns a property of local rings and domains. A ring R is called weakly local if for every a ∈ R, a is regular or 1-a is regular, where a regular element means a non-zero-divisor. We study the structure of weakly local rings in relation to several kinds of factor rings and ring extensions that play roles in ring theory. We prove that the characteristic of a weakly local ring is either zero or a power of a prime number. It is also shown that the weakly local property can go up to polynomial (power series) rings and a kind of Abelian matrix rings.

  • This study investigated the factors influencing the knowledge acquisition of Thai local partners from advanced foreign partners through international joint ventures(IJVs). For this purpose, this study initially identified three dimensions of characteristics in the context of IJVs that would influence local partners' knowledge acquisition - a local partners' own characteristic (absorptive capacity), a relationship characteristic with IJVs (proximity to the equal equity ownership), and a relationship characteristic with foreign partners (trust), and examined their effects on local partners' knowledge acquisition. The study further investigated the moderating effects of the tacitness of knowledge on the relationships between those characteristics and knowledge acquisition. Based on the data collected from Thai IJV local partners, results revealed that a local partners' own characteristic, absorptive capacity, and a relationship characteristic with IJVs, proximity to the equal equity ownership, had a strong positive effect on local partners' knowledge acquisition. Results further showed that the tacitness of knowledge strengthened the relationships between absorptive capacity and knowledge acquisition and between trust and knowledge acquisition, but not the relationship between proximity to the equal equity ownership and knowledge acquisition.

  • This study analyses and discusses on the characteristic and the origin of the exhaustion method caused by the controversy over whether that method succeeded to the Antiphone's complete exhaustion idea and whether that method is similar to the method of limits. First, this study analyses 'principle of exhaustion method' which play an important role in that method in order to grasp the local characteristic of it. And this study speculates the origin of the exhaustion method by considering the time and situation of appearance and looking through the local characteristic of it. Also, this study takes a view of the overall characteristic of the exhaustion method by inquiring into the process of actual application of 'principle of exhaustion method' in a proof. As these results, this study reveals that the exhaustion method uprose not as a succession of Antiphone's idea but as a reaction to its idea, and that the exhaustion method has the recognized character of 'finitude' as distinct from the method of limits.

  • In the context of additive noise steganography model, we propose a method to detect least significant bit (LSB) matching steganography in grayscale images. Images are decomposed into detail sub-bands with local linear transform (LLT) masks which are sensitive to embedding. Novel normalized characteristic function features weighted by a bank of band-pass filters are extracted from the detail sub-bands. A suboptimal feature set is searched by using a threshold selection algorithm. Extensive experiments are performed on four diverse uncompressed image databases. In comparison with other well-known feature sets, the proposed feature set performs the best under most circumstances.

  • Reversible data hiding is a technique that can embed information into cover media (image, video, voice signal) and can recover the original cover media after extracting the embedded information. In this papa, we propose a new reversible data hiding methods that based on block median preservation and the image local characteristic. By using the median value of a block, a high payload can be got and by considering the image local characteristic, a lot of distortion can be avoided and a high PSNR can be got. In the experiment, our methods can generate better result than the previous reversible data hiding methods.

  • To realize the global standard of the assembly facility, one of key point is an influence of local characteristic. The global standardized information could be a useful input, especially at the beginning stage of the project. The content should be carefully checked against local requirements, in order to develop an Assembly Facility design to meet local regulations & characteristics. The level of input information required in each step is different depend on regions & countries. At an execution stage of the project, the global standard input needs to be updated as customized final input for the construction. There will be many issues to be clarified and coordinated so that the Assembly facilities meet the final requirements for the production technology. As a result, it is important to understand the timing to use the global standard information and the contents what is needed to adapt to the local characteristics. And close collaboration between production technology team and facility team is always required.

  • All rings are commutative, Noetherian with identity and of prime characteristic p, unless otherwise specified. First, we describe the definition of tight closure of an ideal and the properties about the tight closure used frequently. The technique used here for the tight closure was introduced by M. Hochster and C. Huneke [4,5, or 6]. Using the concepts of the tight closure and its properties, we will prove that if R is a complete local domain and F-rational, then R is Cohen-Macaulay. Next, we study the properties of R$^{+}$, the integral closure of a domain in an algebraic closure of its field of fractions. In fact, if R is a complete local domain of characteristic p>0, then R$^{+}$ is Cohen-Macaulay [8]. But we do not know this fact is true or not if the characteristic of R is zero. For the special case we can show that if R is a non-Cohen-Macaulay normal domain containing the rationals Q, then R$^{+}$ is not Cohen-Macaulay. Finally we will prove that if R is an excellent local domain of characteristic p and F-ratiional, then R is Cohen-Macaulay.aulay.

  • This study attempted to research the local food of various regions at a personal level by discovering how food has developed das part of a region's culture base. Discovery of the characteristic story behind the making of a region's characteristic food as local delicacies can inspire self-esteem in the culture, and enhance the real-life image as appropriate to a region, and thereby be made a part of local tourism and thus contributing to the local economy. For this reason, the native foods of the region of Chungcheongnam-do were researched in terms of the cultural sensibilities that inform the unique history of that region. The study was designed so as to aid in understanding food's characteristic value in Chungcheongnam-do and to give a historical representation of Chungcheongnam-do's image by means of storytelling techniques; thus, the local food's character can be presented alongside a story that appeals to the five senses. For this purpose, Chungcheongnam-do's representative native rice table was cast as the 'Hyunchoong rice meal table' - after the figure of admiral Yi Sun Shin of Asan area region, a representative image of Chungcheongnam-do - and 'Choosa rice meal table', after the figure of 'Choosa' Kim Jeong Hee of Yesan region, of which various literary works form a representative image of Chungcheongnam-do. 'Hyunchoong rice meal table' was composed of a health food centered menu which could supply sufficient nutrition as a food ration in times of war or winter shortage, thus providing an image of nutrition and power as appropriate to these situations. Also, to assess the health effectiveness of each rice table, the functionality of the ingredients were investigated as reported in 'Sik-ryo-chan-yo : a dietary treatment' which was published by Soon-Ui Cheon in the Chosun era and by which the foods of the early Chosun era won recognition as being both healthy profitable.

  • An element of a ring is called strongly nil clean provided that it can be written as the sum of an idempotent and a nilpotent element that commute. We characterize, in this article, the strongly nil cleanness of $2{\times}2$ and $3{\times}3$ matrices over $R[x]/(x^2-1)$ where $R$ is a commutative local ring with characteristic 2. Matrix decompositions over fields are derived as special cases.
