We investigated accelerated soft error rate(ASER) in 8M static random access memory(SRAM) cells. The effects on ASER by well structure, operational voltage, and cell transistor threshold voltage are examined. The ASER decreased exponentially with respect to operational voltage. The chips with buried nwell1 layer showed lower ASER than those either with normal well structure or with buried nwell1 + buried pwell structure. The ASER decreased as the ion implantation energy onto buried nwell1 changed from 1.5 MeV to 1.0 MeV. The lower viscosity of the capping layer also revealed lower ASER value. The decrease in the threshold voltage of driver or load transistor in SRAM cells caused the increase in the transistor on-current, resulting in lower ASER value. We confirmed that in order to obtain low ASER SRAM cells, it is necessary to also the buried nwell1 structure scheme and to fabricate the cell transistors with low threshold voltage and high on-current.
Mobile communication has become more pervasive and it is considered as one of main concerns oi conferencing, multi-user games and etc. in mobile environment. These applications need to secure communication in group. Most of the published protocols are based on model which consists of a stationary base station and a cluster of mobile devices. In this paper, we have focused on the extended model of which participants are several base stations and mobile devices in different cells. We present a new group key protocol among mobile devices in different cells and analyze its security And we also look at how password authentication can be used to our group key agreement protocol. The mobile device's computing load may be reduced by using password authentication.

This paper suggests anon-isolated high-gain boost converter using voltage-stacking cell. The voltage gain can be increased by adjusting number of voltage-stacking cells and transformer turns-ratio. Test results with 1kW prototype converter show that the voltage gain is three or four times higher than conventional boost converter at unity transformer turns-ratio and about 90% of efficiency is recorded under full load condition.

Recently, as exactly clean source, the research of photovoltaic power generation is undertaken actively and widely. In this paper, an auxiliary power supply system which is composed of photovoltaic generation and DC-DC boost chopper is described. This system in mainly for Air-conditioner appliances is which AC source is formed through rectifying circuit and without electrical storage battery. There exist two operating modes depending on the power quantity of the solar cells and the load. The control algorithm is discussed.
Isogeometric solution of Poisson equation is provided. NURBS (NonUniform B-spline Surface) is introduced to express both geometry of structure and unknown field of governing equation. The terms of stiffness matrix and load vector are consistently derived with very accurate geometric definition. The validity of the isogeometric formulation is demonstrated by using two numerical examples such as square plate and L-shape plate. From numerical results, the present solutions have a good agreement with analytical and finite element (FE) solutions with the use of a few cells in isogeometric analysis.
VC merging involves distinguishing cells from an identical merged VC label. Various approaches have been proposed to help this identification process. However, most of them incur additional buffering, protocol overhead and/or variable delay. They make the provision of QoS difficult to achieve. So it was proposed a merge capable scheduler to support VC-merging (VCMS). However, in situations where all VCs are to be merged or the incoming traffic load is very low, it could happen that there are not enough non-merging cells to snoop. In this situation the scheduler uses special control cells to fill the empty time slots out. Too many control cells can cause high cell loss ratio and an additional packet transfer delay. To overcome the drawbacks, we propose a Sequence Skipping(SS) method where the sequencers skip the empty queues and insert SS cells. We show SS method is suitable for VC-merging and can reduce the cell loss ratio and the mean packet transfer delay through simulations.
Myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) play an important role in impairing the function of T cells. We characterized MDSCs in two chronic hepatitis C (CHC) cohorts: a cross-sectional group that included 61 treatment-naive patients with CHC, 14 rapid virologic response (RVR) cases and 22 early virologic response (EVR) cases; and a longitudinal group of 13 cases of RVR and 10 cases of EVR after pegylated-interferon-${\alpha}$/ribavirin treatment for genotype 1b HCV infection. Liver samples from 32 CHC patients and six healthy controls were subjected to immunohistochemical analysis. MDSCs frequency in treatment-naive CHC was significantly higher than in RVR, EVR, or healthy subjects and was positively correlated with HCV RNA. Patients infected with HCV genotype 2a had a significantly higher frequency of MDSCs than those infected with genotype 1b. Decreased T cell receptor (TCR) ${\zeta}$ expression on $CD8^+$ T cells was significantly associated with an increased frequency of MDSCs in treatment-naive CHC patients and was restored by L-arginine treatment in vitro. Increased numbers of liver arginase-$1^+$ cells were closely associated with the histological activity index in CHC. The TCR ${\zeta}$ chain was significantly downregulated on hepatic $CD8^+$ T cells in CHC. During antiviral follow up, MDSCs frequency in peripheral blood mononuclear cells was directly correlated with the HCV RNA load in the plasma and inversely correlated with TCR ${\zeta}$ chain expression in $CD8^+$ T cells in both RVR and EVR cases. Notably, the RVR group had a higher frequency of MDSCs at baseline than the EVR group. Collectively, this study provides evidence that MDSCs might be associated with HCV persistence and downregulation of CD8 ${\zeta}$ chain expression.

A multicast traffic’s feature is the function of providing a point to multipoints cell transmission, which is emerging from the main function of ATM switch. However, when a conventional point-to-point switch executes a multicast function, the excess load is occurred because unicast cell as well as multicast cell passed the copy network. Additionally, due to the excess load, multicast cells collide with other cells in a switch. Thus a deadlock that losses cells raises, extremely diminishes the performance of switch. An input queued switch also has a defect of the HOL (Head of Line) blocking that less lessens the performance of the switch. In the proposed multicast switch, we use shared memory switch to reduce HOL blocking and deadlock. In order to decrease switch’s complexity and cell's processing time, to improve a throughput, we utilize the method that routes a cell on a separated paths by traffic pattern and the scheduling algorithm that processes a maximum 2N cell at once in the control part. Besides, when cells is congested at an output port, a cell loss probability increases. Thus we use the Output Memory (OM) to reduce the cell loss probability. And we make use of the method that stores the assigned memory (UM, MM) with a cell by a traffic pattern and clears the cell of the Output memory after a fixed saving time to improve the memory utilization rate. The performance of the proposed switch is executed and compared with the conventional policy under the burst traffic condition through both the analysis based on Markov chain and simulation.

The solar cells should be operated at the maximum power point because its output characteristics are greatly fluctuated on the variation of insolation, temperature and load. Photovoltaic system needs an inverter which can interface the dc output power of solar cell with the residential ac load. The inverter has to supply a sinusoidal current and voltage to the load and the utility line with a high power factor. This paper proposes an utility interactive photovoltaic system designed with a step-up chopper and a PWM voltage source inverter. The step-up chopper operates in continuous mode by adjusting the duty ratio so that the photovoltaic system tracks the maximum power points of solar cell without any influence on the variation of insolation and temperature. The voltage source inverter operates in a manner that its output voltage is in phase with the utility voltage. The inverter supplies an ac power with high factor and low level of harmonics to the load and the utility power system.
In this paper, we investigate how to do resource allocation to guarantee a minimum user data rate at low signaling overhead in multi-cell orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) wireless systems. We devise dynamic resource allocation (DRA) algorithms that can minimize the QoS violation ratio (i.e., the ratio of the number of users who fail to get the requested data rate to the total number of users in the overall network). We assume an OFDMA system that allows dynamic control of frequency reuse factor (FRF) of each sub-carrier. The proposed DRA algorithms determine the FRFs of the sub-carriers and allocate them to the users adaptively based on inter-cell interference and load distribution. In order to reduce the signaling overhead, we adopt a hierarchical resource allocation architecture which divides the resource allocation decision into the inter-cell coordinator (ICC) and the base station (BS) levels. We limit the information available at the ICC only to the load of each cell, that is, the total number of sub-carriers required for supporting the data rate requirement of all the users. We then present the DRA with limited coordination (DRA-LC) algorithm where the ICC performs load-adaptive inter-cell resource allocation with the limited information while the BS performs intra-cell resource allocation with full information about its own cell. For performance comparison, we design a centralized algorithm called DRA with full coordination (DRA-FC). Simulation results reveal that the DRA-LC algorithm can perform close to the DRA-FC algorithm at very low signaling overhead. In addition, it turns out to improve the QoS performance of the cell-boundary users, and achieve a better fairness among neighboring cells under non-uniform load distribution.
