  • Let K be a field of characteristic zero. We first show that images of the linear derivations and the linear 𝓔-derivations of the polynomial algebra K[x] = K[x1, x2, …, xn] are ideals if the products of any power of eigenvalues of the matrices according to the linear derivations and the linear 𝓔-derivations are not unity. In addition, we prove that the images of D and 𝛿 are Mathieu-Zhao spaces of the polynomial algebra K[x] if D = ∑ni=1 (aixi + bi)∂i and 𝛿 = I - 𝜙, 𝜙(xi) = λixi + 𝜇i for ai, bi, λi, 𝜇i ∈ K for 1 ≤ i ≤ n. Finally, we prove that the image of an affine 𝓔-derivation of the polynomial algebra K[x1, x2] is a Mathieu-Zhao space of the polynomial algebra K[x1, x2]. Hence we give an affirmative answer to the LFED Conjecture for the affine 𝓔-derivations of the polynomial algebra K[x1, x2].

  • This work started with recent students' conception on Linear Algebra. We were trying to help their understanding of Linear Algebra concepts by adding visualization tools. To accomplish this, we have developed most of needed tools for teaching of Linear Algebra class. Visualizing concepts of Linear Algebra is not only an aid for understanding but also arouses students' interest on the subject for a better comprehension, which further helps the students to play with them for self-discovery. Therefore, visualizing data should be prepared thoroughly rather than just merely understanding on static pictures as a special circumstance when we would study visual object. By doing this, we carefully selected GeoGebra which is suitable for dynamic visualizing and Sage for algebraic computations. We discovered that this combination is proper for visualizing to be embodied and gave a variety of visualizing data for undergraduate mathematics classes. We utilized GeoGebra and Sage for dynamic visualizing and tools used for algebraic calculation as creating a new kind of visual object for university math classes. We visualized important concepts of Linear Algebra as much as we can according to the order of the textbook. We offered static visual data for understanding and studied visual object and further prepared a circumstance that could create new knowledge. We found that our experience on visualizations in Linear Algebra using Sage and GeoGebra to our class can be effectively adopted to other university math classes. It is expected that this contribution has a positive effect for school math education as well as the other lectures in university.

  • Today linear algebra is one of compulsory courses for university mathematics by virtue of its theoretical fundamentals and fruitful applications. However, a mechanical computation-oriented instruction or a formal concept-oriented instruction is difficult and dull for most students. In this context, how to teach mathematical concepts successfully is a very serious problem. As a solution for this problem, we suggest establishing original concepts in linear algebra from the students' point of view. Any original concept means not only a practical beginning for the historical order and theoretical system but also plays a role of seed which can build most of all the important concepts. Indeed, linear algebra has exactly two original concepts : geometry of planes, spaces and linear equations. The former was investigated in [2], the latter in the present paper.

  • A linear functional T on a $Fr{\acute{e}}echet$ algebra (A, (pn)) is called almost multiplicative with respect to the sequence ($p_n$), if there exists ${\varepsilon}{\geq}0$ such that ${\mid}Tab-TaTb{\mid}{\leq}{\varepsilon}p_n(a)p_n(b)$ for all $n{\in}\mathbb{N}$ and for every $a,b{\in}A$. We show that an almost multiplicative linear functional on a $Fr{\acute{e}}echet$ algebra is either multiplicative or it is continuous, and hence every almost multiplicative linear functional on a functionally continuous $Fr{\acute{e}}echet$ algebra is continuous.

  • In our new learning environment, we were asked to change our teaching method in our Linear Algebra class. In mathematics class, we could use several math-softwares such as MATHEMATICA, MATLAB, MAPLE, Drive etc.. MATLAB was quite well fit with our Linear Algebra class. In this paper we introduce an efficient way of delivery on important concepts in linear algebra by using well-known MATLAB/ATLAST M-files which we downloded from http://www.umassd.edu/specialprograms/atlast/.

  • We find the necessary and sufficient conditions for the smash product algebra structure and the crossed coproduct coalgebra structure with th dual cocycle $\alpha$ to afford a Hopf algebra (A equation,※See Full-text). If B and H are finite algebra and Hopf algebra, respectively, then the linear dual (※See Full-text) is also a Hopf algebra. We show that the weak coaction admissible mapping system characterizes the new Hopf algebras (※See Full-text).

  • With the development of supercomputing technology and hardware technology, numerical computation methods are also being advanced. Accordingly, improved weather prediction becomes possible. In this paper, we propose to apply the LAPACK(Linear Algebra PACKage) BLAS(Basic Linear Algebra Subprograms) library to the linear algebraic numerical computation part within the source code to improve the performance of the cumulative parametric code, Unicon(A Unified Convection Scheme), which is included in SCAM(Single-Columns Atmospheric Model, simplified version of CESM(Community Earth System Model)) and performs standby operations. In order to analyze this, an overall execution structure diagram of SCAM was presented and a test was conducted in the relevant execution environment. Compared to the existing source code, the SCOPY function achieved 0.4053% performance improvement, the DSCAL function 0.7812%, and the DDOT function 0.0469%, and all of them showed a 0.8537% performance improvement. This means that the LAPACK BLAS application method, a library for high-density linear algebra operations proposed in this paper, can improve performance without additional hardware intervention in the same CPU environment.

  • A linear map T from a Banach algebra A into a Banach algebra B is almost multiplicative if $\left\$\mid$ T(fg) - T(f)T(g) \right\$\mid$ \leq \in\left\$\mid$ f \right\$\mid$\left\$\mid$ g \right\$\mid$(f,g \in A)$ for some small positive $\in$. B.E.Johnson [4,5] studied whether this implies that T is near a multiplicative map in the norm of operators from A into B. K. Jarosz [2,3] raised the conjecture : If T is an almost multiplicative functional on uniform algebra A, there is a linear and multiplicative functional F on A such that $\left\$\mid$ T - F \right\$\mid$ \leq \in', where \in' \to 0$ as $\in \to 0$. B. E. Johnson [4] gave an example of non-uniform commutative Banach algebra which does not have the property described in the above conjecture. He proved also that C(K) algebras and the disc algebra A(D) have this property [5]. We extend this property to a derivation on a Banach algebra.

  • The 4th industrial revolution is coming. In order to prepare for the new learning environment with it, we may need digital mathematics textbooks that fully utilize all possible technologies. So various attempts have been made in elementary and middle school mathematics education. However, despite the importance of higher mathematics, we haven't seen a best possible math digital textbooks yet in Korea. In this paper, we introduce our new model of interactive math digital textbook about Linear Algebra/ Calculus/ Differential Equations/ Statistics/ Engineering Math. Especially, this manuscript focuses on our experience of using digital contents and interactive labs for developing a new model for linear algebra digital textbook. We introduce our works on linear algebra digital textbooks which include pdf e-book, web contents, video clips of lectures, interactive lab. Using this linear algebra digital textbook, students can freely use any mobile devices to access diverse learning materials, lessons, and hands-on exercises without any limitations. Also, times saved in the computation, coding, and typing process can be used to have more discussions for deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. This type of linear algebra digital textbook, which contains all interactive free cyber-lab with codes and all lectures for each sections, can be considered as a new model for the next generation of math digital textbook.

  • In this note we prove the following result: Let A be a complex Banach *-algebra with continuous involution and let B be an $A^{*}$-algebra./T(A) = B. Then T is continuous (Theorem 2). From above theorem some others results of special interest and some well-known results follow. (Corollaries 3,4,5,6 and 7). We close this note with some generalizations and some remarks (Theorems 8.9.10 and question). Throughout this note we consider only complex algebras. Let A and B be complex algebras. A linear mapping T from A into B is called jordan homomorphism if T( $x^{1}$) = (Tx)$^{2}$ for all x in A. A linear mapping T : A .rarw. B is called spectrally-contractive mapping if .rho.(Tx).leq..rho.(x) for all x in A, where .rho.(x) denotes spectral radius of element x. Any homomorphism algebra is a spectrally-contractive mapping. If A and B are *-algebras, then a homomorphism T : A.rarw.B is called *-homomorphism if (Th)$^{*}$=Th for all self-adjoint element h in A. Recall that a Banach *-algebras is a complex Banach algebra with an involution *. An $A^{*}$-algebra A is a Banach *-algebra having anauxiliary norm vertical bar . vertical bar which satisfies $B^{*}$-condition vertical bar $x^{*}$x vertical bar = vertical bar x vertical ba $r^{2}$(x in A). A Banach *-algebra whose norm is an algebra $B^{*}$-norm is called $B^{*}$-algebra. The *-semi-simple Banach *-algebras and the semi-simple hermitian Banach *-algebras are $A^{*}$-algebras. Also, $A^{*}$-algebras include $B^{*}$-algebras ( $C^{*}$-algebras). Recall that a semi-prime algebra is an algebra without nilpotents two-sided ideals non-zero. The class of semi-prime algebras includes the class of semi-prime algebras and the class of prime algebras. For all concepts and basic facts about Banach algebras we refer to [2] and [8].].er to [2] and [8].].
