The populations of major cities in Australia are increasing rapidly and facing an acute housing shortage. Traditional apartment procurement techniques involve lengthy lead-times and factory-based, or offsite manufactured (OSM) multi-storey apartment buildings may offer the opportunity to help fulfill the need by significantly reducing build times. Other advantages of OSM may include superior quality, low weight ratios, economies of scale achieved through repetition of prefabricated units, use on infill sites, sustainable design standards and better occupational health and safety. There are also positive labour and training implications, which may help to alleviate an industry-wide shortage of skills through use of semi-skilled labour. Previous uncertainties about the adoption of offsite due to the high capital costs and perception issues were generally based on pre-cast concrete structures, which are quite a different building type in terms of flexibility, construction, delivery and finishes. Identification of drivers and constraints assists in the determination of current industry status, allows for a benchmark to be established and future opportunities and directions for OSM to be determined.

Software organisations follow different methodologies for the development of software. The software development methodologies are mainly divided into two categories, including plan-driven and agile development. To attain project success, it is very significant to consider risk management during whole project. Agile development is considered risk-driven, but many risks are unreported at the industrial level. The risks can be divided into three categories, including (i) development risks, (ii) organisations risks, and (iii) people-oriented risks. This paper deals with Development risks specifically. Several risks related to development are faced by people working in the industry while dealing with agile development. Their management among the industry is a big issue, so this paper emphasises ARMF based on development-related risks by following agile development. This research work will help software organisations to prevent different project-related risks during agile development. The risks are elicited at two-level, (i) literature-based and (ii) IT industry based. A systematic literature review was performed for eliciting the agile risks from the literature. Detailed case studies and survey research methods were applied for eliciting risks from IT industry. Finally, we merged the agile development risks from literature with standard industrial risks. Hence, we established an agile risk mitigation framework ARMF based on agile development and present a groundwork established in light of empirical examination for extending it in future research.

1957년에 미국의 지원 하에, 미국인에 의해서 한국에 설립되어 3년간 운영되었던, 우리나라 최초의 디자인 진흥기관인 '한국공예시범소'의 행적을 살펴본다. 1장에서는 미국 Smith, Scherr & McDermott Industrial design, Arkon Office의 한국지원 활동내용을 연대기순으로 개괄하고, 2장에서는 한국내 KHDC의 설립, 과정과 구성, 기능을 살펴본다. 3장은 KHDC의 활동내용을 살펴본다. 수공예 프로젝트와 경공업 프로젝트, 전시, 현지답사 연구와 현지산업 지원활동, 교육 프로그램, 언론의 보도내용 등을 살펴봄으로써 실제로 한국 내에서 행했던 활동들을 구체적으로 다뤘다. 4장에서는 공예시범소의 활동성과를 살펴본다. 수공예 프로젝트와 경공업 프로젝트를 통하여 이뤄낸 성과들과 개발된 상품들, 그리고 대외적인 활동의 성과를 살펴보고, 5장에서는 제 활동들의 성과를 살펴보고 종합적인 평가를 한다.

Taylor and Ford in the 1910s led to the "scientific management" for the entire industry from the manufacturing spread of TQM Total Quality Management has been structured as a management efficiency, such as 6-Sigma techniques were developed. SW development also introduces the idea, such as CMMI and SPICE-based process management, management practices have evolved. However, in recent years to increase the knowledge of workers in the manufacturing process oriented management approach is under serious challenge. Business performance or productivity will be varied depending all motivation, human relationship, job involvement rather than simply putting a lot of time. Especially in the SW industry which is depending on human resource, Creativity should be limited in traditional management methods. Recently, Google and Apple, Cisco and global advanced companies adopt a human relationship management. Their productivity and creativity in product development has been successful by giving autonomy and motivation, enthusiasm and vision to tile employees. Human relationship management since the mid-1990s, appears as a new paradigm so called Agile process in the field of SW development. Agile processes emphasis on light, flexible and responding to changes immediately in the business environment step away from traditional management approach which is the heavy and complicated process. In this paper, agile project management concepts and practices which is applied to industry will be examined.

The purpose of this study, by surveying the status of firms, measurement-related investment and the defect rate, is to analyze the effect of measurement-related investment and to propose a scheme of efficient measurement-related investment which reduces the defect rate. For this project we obtain the data of the status of the measurement-related investment and the defect rate of 928 firms in Korean manufacturing industry by mailing survey. One of our results shows that the firms which have measurement standard laboratory, i.e, which invest in measurement-related area comparatively high, have the defect rate about 0.8% lower than those firms which don't have measurement standard laboratory. Also we find that the small-and-middle size firms have worse measurement-related facility than the large firms and the firms in the heavy-chemical industry have higher measurement-related investment effect than the firms in the light industry.

The objective of this paper is to seek an alternative to figure out appropriate ways since difficulties lie in the introduction of LRT system to be operated by governments and self-governing local governments in the country. This situation can act as a main cause of breakdown in domestic railway industry by deepening of outflow of national wealth and technological dependency. Policy makers are required to get awareness of justification and necessity of Project management such as project strategy, goals, operating budgets, risks, investment revenue prior to preparing the outline of the introduction of LRT system shall consider securing budget in light of performance, reliability, and safety withe the help of system engineering activities during the entire project cycle such as design, construction, quality management, and commissioning before mapping out the basic plans for LRT project. In view of the current domestic conditions, the first time within the country, Seoulmetro is training professional as trust education of specialist training about LRT system, SE and PM education. This study leads to participating in PM/SE business by human power who finished from education of domestic specialist for LRT introduction corporation and businesses, it is published for introduction of specialist education and business revitalization.

This paper presents the concept of the National Science and Technology Park (NSTP) in Islamabad, Pakistan. Keeping in line with Karl Popper's Piecemeal Social Engineering theory, a critical-pragmatic approach is adopted in shedding light on the strategic thrusts and expected outcomes of this knowledge-driven, entrepreneurially-spirited, multi-industry project. Based on Triple-Helix perspectives, we investigate the role of the National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad in efforts aimed at developing NSTP as an intermediary hybrid organization that enhances industry-academia-government linkages, with the potential to serve as an engine for regional and national economic growth and competitiveness.

This case study research analyzes the cross-artistic project Connect, BTS and its relationship to transmedia branding, meaning-making and spatiality. After an overview of the argument and a section on methodology, the reader will find the analysis of the case study. Thanks to the use of a qualitative approach, this examination of Connect, BTS unveils the ways in which this initiative becomes a location that allows a reconceptualization of space that fosters plurality, exchange, and subjectivity. Connect, BTS unites seemingly incompatible fields under one project, favoring the co-creation of meanings among different artists, BTS, ARMY (the group's fans), business partners and viewers. This process has been investigated through content analysis, exploring Connect, BTS's transmedia strategies from branding to storytelling, to evaluate their efficacy in regard to brand identity, brand experience, and brand trust. The paper will also explore the variety of layers and spatial dimensions contained in Connect, BTS, which flow from art to the music industry, material and digital space, various market sectors and media. In light of this, Connect, BTS embraces a galaxy of separate semantic units into an extended liminal continuum that does not discount difference.

최근의 직업훈련에서는 강의, 실습 위주의 방식에서 벗어나 훈련생들이 스스로 결과물을 만들어 내어 기업 현장 전문가의 피드백을 받아볼 수 있는 프로젝트 기반 수업에 대한 요구가 커지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 최근 직업훈련기관에서 중요시 하고 있는 기업맞춤형 훈련 내 프로젝트 수업 수요자인 훈련생의 인식과 요구가 무엇인지를 파악하여 프로젝트 수업의 설계 및 운영방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 기업 맞춤형 훈련에 대한 훈련생의 인식을 서면조사하고 개방형 문항에 대한 질적분석을 실시하였다. 구체적으로 프로젝트 수업 만족도, 프로젝트 수업의 취업기여도, 프로젝트 수업에 대한 기대의 충족 여부, 개선점 등을 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 시사점을 도출하였다.

The Core in Weapon system R&D is to realize the user required capabilities in limited schedule and cost. Therefore, the design of weapon system focuses to functional design for realization of requirement capabilities. However, the weapon system should not only basically bring the confidence to friendly forces bring fear to enemy forces to maximize the operational effectiveness of weapon systems and we consider the exterior design as the important factor to compete with foreign systems in international defense market besides capabilities and cost. For that reason, we made study case about the visual design decision process applied to the LVT(light tactical vehicle) project which was recent successful deployment among the many R&D projects of auto industry. Based on this case, this study suggests the necessity of the exterior design decision process the maneuver weapon system is developed.
