  • Lipschitzian semigroup is a semigroup of Lipschitz operators which contains $C_0$ semigroup and nonlinear semigroup. In this paper, we establish the cannonical exponential formula of Lipschitzian semigroup from its Lie generator and the approximation theorem by Laplace transform approach to Lipschitzian semigroup.

  • Let G be a Lie group, let L(G) be its Lie algebra, and let exp : $L(G){\rightarrow}G$ denote the exponential mapping. For $S{\subseteq}G$, we define the tangent set of S by $L(S)\;=\;\{X\;{\in}\;L(G)\;:\;exp(tX)\;\in\;S\;for\;all\;t\;{\geq}\;0\}$. We say that a semigroup S is strictly infinitesimally generated if S is the same as the semigroup generated by exp(L(S)). We find a tangent set of the semigroup of all non-singular totally positive matrices and show that the semigroup is strictly infinitesimally generated by the tangent set of the semigroup. This generalizes the familiar relationships between connected Lie subgroups of G and their Lie algebras

  • For a non-degenerate symmetric bilinear form $\sigma$ on a finite dimensional vector space E, the Jordan algebra of $\sigma$-symmetric operators has a symmetric cone $\Omega_\sigma$ of positive definite operators with respect to $\sigma$. The cone $C_\sigma$ of elements (x,y) \in E \times E with \sigma(x,y) \geq 0$ gives the compression semigroup. In this work, we show that in the sutomorphism group of the tube domain over $\Omega_\sigma$, this semigroup has a UDL and Ol'shanskii decompositions and is exactly the compression semigroup of $\Omega_sigma$.

  • Kato[6] and Torres[9] characterized the Weierstrass semigroup of ramification points on h-hyperelliptic curves. Also they showed the converse results that if the Weierstrass semigroup of a point P on a curve C satisfies certain numerical condition then C can be a double cover of some curve and P is a ramification point of that double covering map. In this paper we expand their results on the Weierstrass semigroup of a ramification point of a double covering map to the Weierstrass semigroup of a pair (P, Q). We characterized the Weierstrass semigroup of a pair (P, Q) which lie on the same fiber of a double covering map to a curve with relatively small genus. Also we proved the converse: if the Weierstrass semigroup of a pair (P, Q) satisfies certain numerical condition then C can be a double cover of some curve and P, Q map to the same point under that double covering map.

  • The unitary Lie-Trotter-Kato product formula gives in a simplest way a meaning to the Feynman path integral for the Schroding-er equation. In this note we want to survey some of recent results on the norm convergence of the selfadjoint Lie-Trotter Kato product formula for the Schrodinger operator -1/2Δ + V(x) and for the sum of two selfadjoint operators A and B. As one of the applications, a remark is mentioned about an approximation therewith to the fundamental solution for the imaginary-time Schrodinger equation.
