학교도서관과 공공도서관의 협력은 도서관 자원을 효율적으로 활용하고, 어린이와 청소년에게 좋은 서비스를 제공함으로 써 사서직의 교육적 역할을 신장할 수 있는 전략 중 하나이다. 설문을 통한 사서교사와 사서의 협력에 대한 인식과 실태분석 결과, 사서교사와 사서 모두 학교도서관과 공공도서관의 협력이 필요하다는데 공감하고 있으며, 협력이 가장 필요한 분야는 '프로그램'과 '자료'라고 생각하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 협력이 잘 이루어지고 있지 못하는 공통적인 이유는 '인식 및 관심 부족'이라는 응답이 많았다. 사서교사는 주로 공공도서관이 운영하는 어린이 청소년 관련 프로그램이나 서비스를 학생과 학부모에게 홍보하고 있으며, 공공도서관 사서의 경우에도 프로그램을 학교도서관에 홍보하거나, 교육과정 관련 자료의 구비 및 제공을 사서교사와 협의하고 있는 수준으로 나타났다. 그리고 도서관 간 협력을 활성화하기 위해서는 '전문 인력 배치'와 '협의체 운영'이 필요하다고 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this research was to study the merits and barriers to successful school and public library cooperation in the city of Seoul and to obtain perspective and the basic data used to implement practical cooperative measures. A questionnaire survey was conducted for 22 public libraries in city of Seoul concerning both positive and negative aspect of cooperation between two types of libraries. Based on the survey results, the following conclusions and recommendations are made ; 1) The librarians recognized the necessity of cooperation that promote efficiency of library operation and also contribute toward local community development. 2) The librarians are agreeable to the cooperative service and the institutional cooperation will prevent redundancy of collection development and will make variety of book selection possible. 3) The cooperation will not result in manpower reduction or budget saving. 4) Inconvenience due to distance between two types of library is anticipated. 5) In order to develop the skills and capabilities of the librarians, it is desirable to offer reeducational program and o n.0, pportunities to attend conferences and meetings. 6) The library user orientation program is to be held regularly. 7) It is necessary to make policy statement of library cooperation in order to maintain autonomy of each library. 8) The establishment of branch libraries and moving libraries under the educational district is recommended.

본 연구는 학교도서관과 공공도서관간의 협력 분야 중에서 문화프로그램을 중심으로 사서(사서교사)들의 인식과 선호도를 조사하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 학교도서관과 공공도서관의 사서(사서교사)는 문화프로그램의 중요성을 긍정적으로 인식하고 있으며, 이들이 선호하는 문화프로그램의 유형은 참여형과 체험형이고, 선호하는 홍보수단은 온라인 공간(카페, 클럽, 홈페이지)이었다. 학교도서관과 공공도서관간의 협력사업 운영 시, 효과적 으로 활용할 수 있는 방법은 공공도서관 사서의 현장 방문을 통한 프로그램 진행과 개별 학교의 특성에 맞춘 연계프로그램의 참여였다. 협력수준으로는 기관간의 업무협약(MOU) 체결과 담당자간 협조체제를 선호하며, 평가 및 보고 방법은 문화프로그램 참여자의 만족도 조사였다.

This study is composed of two parts, The one is a description of the establishment, organization, activities and an evaluation of the four international organizations of Asian libraries and librarians: Asian Federation of Library Associations(AFLA), Congress of Southeast Asian Librarians (CONSAL), Conference of Directors of National Libraries of Asia and Oceania(CDNLAO) and Association of Parliamentary Librarians of Asia and the Pacific(APLAP). The other is an investigation of status quo of the mutual exchange in librarianship between Korea, China and Japan. It is suggested that some ways toward active participation in the international cooperative systems between Asian libraries and librarians be explored.

지역대표도서관은 지역의 특성을 반영하여 운영되어야 하며, 그 기능과 업무내용도 우선순위를 설정하여 점진적으로 추진되어야 한다. 이러한 관점에서 본 연구는 지역대표도서관의 정책을 올바르게 이해하고, 해당지역의 도서관정책을 수립하거나 협력사업의 추진내용을 결정할 때 참고할 수 있는 기초 자료를 수집하기 위하여 지역대표도서관의 역할 및 추진방향에 관한 사서들의 인식을 조사하였다. 그 결과, 사서들은 도서관 발전방향 및 정책수립과 대외도서관협력을 지역대표도서관이 추진해야 할 가장 시급한 과제로 인식하고 있었으며, 자료의 납본 및 보존, 지역주민의 정보서비스에서는 상대적으로 낮은 인식을 보였다. 또한 향후 최우선으로 고려해야 하는 협력업무로 교육 및 문화프로그램의 협력과 도서관상호대차가 높게 나타났으며, 공동보존은 상대적으로 낮게 인식하는 협력사업으로 확인되었다.

In response to the changing needs of users and library services, there is a need to develop a library information science curriculum that reflects such change and to foster competent librarians. Recent studies abroad have emphasized the need for librarians who can apply design thinking methods which is a problem-solving methodology that expansively explores various alternatives and derives results, in response to recent changes and problems occurring in libraries. In this study, in order to understand how design thinking methods can be taught and to understand the perceptions of the students and librarians involved in the course, a case study is conducted of a class that applied design thinking methods and students and librarians have been interviewed who had experience participating in the class. By reflecting on the needs of students and librarians', this study explored new directions of what forms courses can take for future librarians. Based on the results of the analysis, among the different characteristics of design thinking, the value of cooperation, problem-solving ability, flexibility and iteration of design characteristics was considered as the value of a class for LIS students and librarians where design thinking methods were applied. From the findings, the research suggests future directions of creating more structured courses that involve an element of design thinking.

The goal of this study is to improve the competitiveness of professional librarians in society. To this end, we analyzed domestic and international LIS curriculum, determined demand from field librarians through a survey, carried out job analysis by library types, and developed an operating model for LIS curriculum by synthesizing all of these results. Finally, we suggested a course of study for civil service librarians based on this model. As a result, the six required courses for civil service librarians are: Introduction to Library and Information Science, Information Organization, Information Services (Reference and Information Services), Library Management, Information Retrieval, and Field Work. The four core courses for the civil service concentration are: Collection Development, Information Sources by Subjects, Public Library Management, and Digital Libraries. Suggested electives best suited to this career path include Using Web Resources, Information Literacy, Information Services in Culturally Diverse Communities, Library Marketing, Libraries and Cultural Programs, Reading Guidance, Library History, Small Library Management, Studies in Library Buildings, Library Cooperation, Managing Digital Collections, and Information and Communication in a Digital Age.

이 연구의 목적은 학교도서관의 교육서비스에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하고, 각 요인의 인과관계와 영향력의 크기를 분석하여, 교육서비스를 활성화시키기 위한 효과적인 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 문헌연구를 바탕으로 영향요인을 포괄적으로 탐색하여 변수를 선정하였고, 이를 조작적으로 정의하였다. 선정된 변수는 학교구성원의 인식과 지원, 사서교사의 전문성, 사서교사와 교과교사의 협력, 학교교육과정, 사서교사의 시간부족, 교육환경, 교육서비스이며, 이 7개 변수 간의 인과관계에 대한 14개의 가설을 구조방정식모형을 적용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 학교도서관 교육서비스의 핵심요인은 사서교사의 전문성, 교과교사와의 협력, 학교 교육과정으로 나타났고, 이를 바탕으로 학교도서관 교육서비스의 활성화 방안을 모색하였다.

이 연구에서는 기록이 '정체성 강화'에 도움을 줄 수 있다고 보고, 직업 아카이브가 직업에 대한 역사와 문화를 보존함으로써 직업에 대한 자부심과 정체성 확립에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 보았다. 이 연구에서는 특히 도서관 사서를 중심으로 '도서관 사서 아카이브'를 구축함으로써 도서관 사서와 관련된 기록을 보존하고 사서 간 경험과 지식을 공유하고자 하였다. 나아가 이와 같은 아카이브가 본인 스스로와 집단의 역사와 정체성을 확인하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있는지 알아보고, 그 구축 방안을 제시해 보고자 하였다. 사서를 대상으로 심층 면담을 진행하여 도서관 사서 아카이브에는 어떤 기록이 포함되어야 하는지, 어떤 기록이 사서의 정체성 강화에 도움을 줄 수 있는지 등을 살펴보았다. 면담 결과 사서의 업무와 관련된 다양한 기록을 확인하였고, 사서의 역사와 관련된 기록도 확인하였다. 또한 도서관 사서와 관련한 역사적 사건이나 앞세대 사서들이 해왔던 도서관 서비스 등이 사서의 정체성을 강화하는 데 도움을 줄 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 도서관 사서 아카이브는 사서들에게 사서로서의 본인을 돌아보고 자신이 나아갈 방향을 정하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있는 것으로 보인다. 이 연구에서는 기관과 공동체 간의 협력을 통한 참여형 아카이브 구축을 제시하였다. 도서관 및 사서 기록은 한 기관만의 기록을 넘어 다양한 도서관과 공동체들의 기록이 필요하기 때문이다. 이 연구에서는 도서관 사서 아카이브 구축을 통해서 사서의 직업 정체성 강화, 사서의 역사 공유, 집단 지성 플랫폼, 효율적인 업무처리, 도서관과 사서의 사회적 지위 향상 등을 얻을 수 있을 것으로 보았다.

본 연구의 목적은 학교도서관과 공공도서관의 협력강화를 위하여 협력사례를 조사$.$분석하여, 학교도서관 활성화를 위한 제도적 기반을 조성하고 이용자 서비스 내실화 방안을 마련하는데 있다. 연구방법으로는 전국을 5개 권역으로 나누고, 각 권역별로 공공도서관과 학교도서관의 협력사례를 조사하기 위한 워크숍을 통하여, 학교도서관, 공공도서관, 교육청 관계자들로부터 의견을 수집하여 분석하였다. 결과는 제도적인 측면, 인적자원의 문제, 콘텐츠 및 서비스 문제를 중심으로 분석하여, 이를 근거로 3가지 협력 모델을 개발하였다. 학교도서관-공공도서관 협력 모델은 학교도서관과 공공도서관이 발달한 대도시에 적합하며, 공공도서관의 학교도서관 지원 모델은 학교도서관이 열악한 중소도시에 적합하며, 학교도서관-공공도서관 통합 모델은 학교도서관과 공공도서관 모두가 열악한 농어촌 지역에 적합하다. 하지만, 현재의 지역적 상황이 모두 다르기 때문에 상황에 적합한 모델을 채택하여 시범 운영할 필요가 있으며, 이를 수정 보완하여 적합한 모델을 적용시켜야 한다.
